Facebook Fandom Spotlight: Marvel Comics’ Captain America
It’s Monday, which means a brand new Facebook Fandom Spotlight looking at the demographics of an aspect of geekdom. With it being Veteran’s Day, it felt appropriate to look at who the fans of Captain America are.

That total is a bit lower than fans of Thor. The two have had similar exposure, though Cap is a movie behind, and Cap is slightly behind when it comes to overall fans. Spanish speakers account for now 680,000 fans, 17.89%. That’s better than the general comic populace and Thor, which it beats in both raw number and percentage points.

For general comicdon men account for 54.55% and women with 45.45% of the population. For fans of Thor, the stats aren’t quite as solid. Men make up an even 60%, while women account for 36.5%. Fans of Captain America is even worse, with men accounting for 68.42% of fans and women, about 35.26%. Unfortunately Facebook isn’t returning nice numbers that equal 100%.
