Ripcord #3 continues the gritty revenge story vibe from the 70s/80s but adds a dose of horror

The search for Dillon’s sister, Janelle, continues as Dillon and Colebee hit the road (loaded up with weapons, of course). They’re hot on the tail of a group of bikers who may have information regarding Janelle’s whereabouts, but the bikers may not give that information up so easily. They’re on their own turf after all.

Have Dillon and Colebee bitten off more than they can chew?

Technology Becomes Magic in Minotaur from Si Spurrier and Mike Dowling

As technology advances at a frighteningly exponential pace, can humanity put the artificially intelligent genie back in the bottle? And what happens when our fears manifest in even more horrifying ways? Writer Si Spurrier and Mike Dowling combine monsters and microchips in their new ongoing series Minotaur. The first issue will be released by Ignition Press on July 15th, 2026.

Five years ago, a government supercomputer triggered the Singularity: an explosion of technological superintelligence heralding an unimaginable tomorrow.

At least, it almost did. Within moments, a failsafe activated. The plug was pulled. The future was aborted. But something leaked in those first picoseconds, through wire and wave. And now?

The future fights back. Inexplicable events. Miracles and monsters. Harbingers of revolution…or apocalypse?

Minotaur is the tale of Gloria Monday, a photojournalist documenting the lives of those, like her, who are haunted, tortured, and transformed by outbreaks of the future; along with the no nonsense ex-military muscle who watches her six, and the reformed tech bro secretly bankrolling their global mission to expose it all.

Minotaur #1 is available in comic shops July 15th from writer Si Spurrier and Mike Dowling, with colors by Sofie Dodgson and letters by the award-winning Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. This issue features two open-to-order covers from Dowling and Anwita Citriya, along with a retailer incentive cover by Martin Simmonds and an Ignition Exclusive cover by Jock.

Don’t forget to pick up your copy of Minotaur: The Cold Open on Comics Giveaway Day, May 2nd, 2026, at participating comic book stores.

Christian Ward and John J. Pearson Make Art to Die for in The Patron

All the great artists have one thing in common…they’re dead. But why wait for a natural death when you can profit faster from murder? Writer Christian Ward and artist John J. Pearson put their own life’s work on the page in a highbrow thriller at the bloody intersection of art and commerce in The Patron. Ignition Press will begin publishing the new series on July 29th, 2026.

A true patron of the fine arts, Mr. Cherish has dedicated his life to scouting and supporting emerging artists, launching countless unknowns from obscurity into industry superstardom.

Unfortunately for these young artists, the secret to Cherish’s success is their untimely demise. Nothing makes a work of art more desirable and valuable to collectors than the passing of its creator, and Cherish has refined his ability to orchestrate spectacular tragedies without leaving a trace…before selling his dead protégés’ oeuvres for massive profits. Painter Matty Barnes is primed to become Cherish’s next ‘hit,’ but when the script is flipped on this latest murder, a shocking twist puts his empire in the crosshairs.

The Patron #1 is available in comic shops July 29th from writer Christian Ward and artist John J. Pearson, with letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. This issue features two open-to-order covers from Christian Ward and John J. Pearson, along with a 1-in-10 retailer incentive cover by Eisner Award-winning artist Anand RK and an Ignition Exclusive cover by Tula Lotay.

Bloodland #3 amps things up with some surprises

A power struggle emerges as Heather’s new companions in the Art League wonder if she can be trusted as she plans to save the infants being held in the hospital. Soon, a shocking act shifts the balance of power within the group.

Meanwhile, it is becoming increasingly clear that not all members of President Andrew Cross’s inner circle support his decision to hand over control of the US government to the vampires of The White Cell. But in this lawless world, even a small act of rebellion can have major consequences.

Just when it seems like things couldn’t get any more dangerous in the nation’s capital, a gang of child-like vampires, The Kinder, begin a reign of terror over Washington DC.

Everyone Loves a Jewel Thief #1 is a fantastic debut that delivers a great setup

Scott has it all figured out. A masterfully scripted spectacle to dazzle the masses without doing any real harm. A local celebrity will be robbed of her prized possessions, and Scott will come out on the other side as an antihero, showered with publicity and a lucrative new book deal.

But he can’t do it alone. Every compelling heist needs a crack team of like-minded crooks, and Scott’s top recruits are his old high school D&D group and their ragtag townie friends coming in clutch with the getaway Geo Storm.
