Red Roots Sells Out Again and Heads Back to Print

Red Roots by artist and writer Lorenzo de Felici has sold out yet again at the distributor level. Image Comics will fast-track Red Roots #2 back to print in order to keep up with escalating demand.

In Red Roots, the lives of a professional killer and a high school teacher are bound by a terrifying, mysterious force.

De Felici rose to prominence with the launch of Oblivion Song—his co-creation with Robert Kirkman—and his subsequent success as the artist on the tentpole Energon Universe title, also with Kirkman, Void Rivals. De Felici and Kirkman’s creative alchemy set the Energon Universe on a path to sales-chart-domination and Void Rivals in-and-of-itself went on to become one of the biggest launches of 2024. It is currently on its 12th reprint with no signs of slowing down in momentum. This recent breakout success makes Felici’s upcoming solo series one of the most exciting new developments in comics of the year.

Comic book icon and Image Comics co-founder Rob Liefeld’s “Summer of Youngblood”—a season-long celebration marking the monumental return and expansion of the franchise that launched the Image Revolution—hit the industry with a Youngblood #100 heatwave. This blockbuster Youngblood issue has sold out completely at the distributor level and is being fast-tracked for reprint by Image to keep up with demand.

There will be three exciting covers to the Youngblood #100, second printing. On Cover A, Chapel’s gun sights will be trained on an all-new quartet of characters: Invincible by Cory Walker, D’orc by Brett Bean, Feral’s Elsie by Trish Forstner, and Fireborn by Patrick Mulholland. Co-writers Robert Windom and Lily Windom, Eisner Award winning artist Jae Lee, and colorist June Chung have hit big with the launch of M1: Monster Racing League. This high-octane debut broke the speed barrier with a quick sell-out at the distributor level and is being rushed back to print by Image in order to keep pace with demand.

Fans continue to buzz about Ben 10 and the anticipated return of the franchise with new stories by its creators! As word of mouth spreads to fans all over, we’re seeing more and more readers chasing the first issue even after a second printing. Ahead of Ben 10 #2 hitting stores this week, alongside the second printing of issue #1, Dynamite has dropped news that things are heating up more for the series.

First, that second printing of Ben 10 #1 has sold out and in fact oversold, Dynamite is planning a third printing Ben 10 #1 and will have full details coming soon.

Ben 10 #2 is almost fully sold out, and Dynamite are recommending immediate reorders for all the retailers who have seen the hype around this series. A second printing for #2 is being evaluated, with updates coming soon!
