Marketing Monday: Who is the Top Dog on Facebook?
It’s Monday which means a new Marketing Monday and checking out how the various Facebook fanpages have grown or shrunk over the past week.
Overall, the pages continued to grow, this week gaining 250,145 individuals total, a 0.88% increase. Growth has slowed since SDCC, but is till a decent amount of people.
There was very little movement as far as ranks this week. I’ve added arrows next to what has increased in ranking. Hopefully it makes sense.
Marvel remained in second place this week as ComicBook.com stayed in the top spot. Having seen ads for the site, I doubt much of that is organic, and instead is paid for through the ads. There’s also the case that their posts don’t have the reach of a page like IGN. Without that reach, the total likes is a pretty worthless metric.
ComicBook.com remained in the top spot this week with ComicBlitz moving into second place. Publisher Magnetic Press was third, and store Big Planet Comics in Vienna placed fourth. Digital platform Farrago Comics rounded out the top five.
And here’s the top posts from the last week:
