Marketing Monday: Who is the Top Dog on Facebook?

It’s Monday which means a new Marketing Monday and checking out how the various Facebook fanpages have grown or shrunk over the past week.

Overall, the pages continued to grow, this week gaining 445,529 individuals total, a 1.60% increase. That’s four weeks in a row as far as improvement in growth. There are some massive jumps that make me think some folks are advertising on the site, and it’s not organic growth, while some of it is clearly related to this past weekend’s San Diego Comic-COn

Movement has also increased for pages as far as changing their ranks. I’ve added arrows next to what has increased in ranking. Hopefully it makes sense.

facebook likes overall 7.27.14Not surprisingly San Diego Comic-Con had a massive week of growth, bumping Marvel down to second place.

facebook likes new likes 7.27.14As usual it’s the percentage change where we see the biggest change from the previous week. Farrago Comics remained on top with their push at SDCC. We’ll see how long that’s sustained. After that, the website ComicBook had some solid growth, but most likely it’s not organic. Valiant, ComicBlitz, and Titan Comics round out the top five.
