Sounds like it’ll be an impressive Free Comic Book Day if the initial numbers are any indication. The orders for this year’s books have reached record breaking numbers. 5.6 million free comic books have been ordered. That’s an increase of 21% compared to 2014’s number.

Also, the number of participating stores has increased as well. 2,340 shops in the United States, Canada, and internationally have signed up to participate. That’s an increase of 8% from last year.

Dark Horse Comics, DC Entertainment, IDW Publishing, Image Comics and Marvel Comics are among the many sponsors offering 50 special comic book titles for Free Comic Book Day 2015.
