Image and Skybound Launches Skybound X, a Weekly Series featuring New Stories with Rick Grimes and the First Appearance of Clementine

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment will launch a five-issue, limited comic book series, Skybound X. This exciting comic event will feature iconic characters such as The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes, Telltale’s The Walking Dead’s Clementine, and more Skybound favorites. Heavy hitter creators including Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, Tillie Walden, Donny Cates, Joshua Williamson, Chip Zdarsky, James Harren, and Daniel Warren Johnson will contribute stories from the best Skybound series past, present, and future.

Each oversized, weekly issue will kick off with a chapter from “Rick Grimes 2000“, a story originally introduced in the back of The Walking Dead issue 75 and reuniting the Invincible team Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley. In addition, all-new series with brand new comic book characters will debut throughout. The first new comic book character featured will be Clementine, the star of the bestselling video game Telltale’s The Walking Dead. Skybound X will also include new stories from the worlds of Assassin Nation, Excellence, and Manifest Destiny.

Skybound X will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play, starting with issue #1 on Wednesday, July 7, 2021:

Invincible #1 Gets a Limited Edition Re-Release

Robert Kirkman’s superhero comic book-turned-TV series Invincible is getting a new cover from series artist Ryan Ottley and colorist Nathan Fairbairn, just in time to celebrate world premiere of its animated series. The limited edition re-release of Invincible#1 shows off the Teen Team, including Mark Grayson, Atom Eve, Robot, Dupli-Kate, and Rex Splode. The issue also features exclusive behind the scenes images from the upcoming series.

Based on the Skybound and Image comic book of the same name, Invincible premieres on Prime Video on Friday, March 26, and follows a teenage Mark Grayson whose father is the most powerful superhero on the planet.

Invincible is by written by Robert Kirkman, with art by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley.

Revealed today, Robert Kirkman has announced that the animated series based on Invincible comes to Amazon Prime Video on March 26. Skybound Entertainment and Diamond Select Toys Team Up for Invincible Action Figures

Skybound Entertainment and Diamond Select Toys have announced new Invincible action figures hitting stores in Summer 2021. From the Skybound and Image superhero comic book by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the new line will feature Invincible and his father Omni-Man, each with interchangeable parts and accessories.

The figures will stand at seven inches, and each will come with a second angry head, multiple interchangeable hands, and baseball gloves. Invincible will come with a baseball and a Reanimen head, while Omni-Man will come with a chunk of concrete and a Flaxan arm. Each figure will feature approximately 18 points of articulation.

Invincible follows Mark Grayson, who as a teenager inherits his father’s superhuman strength. The comic book series ran for 144 issues and an animated series will debut on Amazon Prime in 2021.

Available for pre-order through comic shops and specialty stores on December 23rd, the accessory-packed figures will arrive in summer of 2021, with streamlined versions coming to Walgreens stores.

Image Reveals Local Comic Shop Day 202 Exclusive Variants for Ice Cream Man, Invincible, Monstress, and Spawn

Image Comics will participate in ComicsPro’s Local Comic Shop Day 2020 this year on Wednesday, November 25 with four exclusive variants in celebration of the Direct Market retailers.

The variants will include a special Green Eggs & Ham homage variant of Ice Cream Man #20 by W. Maxwell Prince and Martín Morazzo, a flashy gold foil edition of the Invincible #1 by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker for fans getting excited about the upcoming Amazon Prime Original TV adaptation, a gorgeous gold foil edition of the Monstress: Talk Stories #1 by Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda that even professor Tam Tam will approve of, and a comic shop name-dropping variant of Spawn #312 by Todd McFarlane himself to feed fans’ feverish Spawnmania.

After a lot of anticipation, the first trailer for the animated Invincible series is here!

Based on the comic series created by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker, the series revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.

Invincible comes to Prime Video in 2021.
