Top 10 Picks of the Week: Hawkeye #9 Tops the List
This week is an interesting week of releases, dominated by Marvel comics, most other publishers have a fairly light week of comics. Even with that, it’s kind of hard to not go with Hawkeye #9 as the top comic for the week. Easily one of the best comics on the market, the art, writing, everything is top-notch fun.
I can’t stress enough how amazing this series is. Folks really need to check out a comic that’s universally praised. We all deserve comics of this quality, we need to make sure to support them when we do get them.
- Hawkeye #9 – see above
- Saga #12 – Another top-notch series focuses a bit more on the Robots and their role in the greater war. While the series shifts a bit in its focus, it gives us a key chapter that fleshes out the universe as a whole.
- The Walking Dead #109 – Easily one of the best story arcs in a long time of the series continues.
- Uncanny X-Men #4 – Bendis has made this squad of revolutionary X-Men sympathetic. All of that is wrapped up in amazing artwork.
- Bravest Warriors #7 – The series might look like it’s for kids, but there’s some much wrong hilarity, I can’t recommend this series enough.
- Mega Man #24 – This is it. The beginning of the Mega Man, Sonic crossover event!
- Supurbia #6 – Super heroes meets soap operas is entertaining fun and a great read. Another series worth checking out.
- Star Wars #4 – Brian Wood has given us an energized re-imagined original Star Wars free of the bogged down continuity.
- X #0 – Dark Horse’s vigilante is back and boy is this first issue brutal.
- G.I. Joe: Cobra Files #1 – The third new G.I. Joe series completes the package in IDW’s reboot of the beloved franchise.
