Absolute Evil #1 (DC Comics) – Celebrating the first year of the Absolute Universe!

Absolute Green Lantern #7 (DC Comics) – The series has been a great mix of sci-fi and horror and we’re totally sucked in to see what the answers to all of the mysteries are.

Absolute Superman #12 (DC Comics) – The series has been amazing and Superman having to deal with Ra’s al-Ghul has been great. This is one that keeps us guessing what will happen next.

The Author Immortal #1 (Image Comics) – Hector Ramirez is a failed writer who gets the opportunity of a lifetime: to help reboot the fantasy book series that defined his childhood. But when he discovers the original author has mysteriously vanished into his fictional world, Hector is pulled into a realm where stories are alive, and some are willing to kill to stay in control.

Big Rig #3 (Vault Comics) – It’s Army of Darkness with a truck. Completely silly and absolutely entertaining.

G.I. Joe: Cold Slither #1 (Skybound) – We love that Hasbro has leaned into the fictional band and brought it to life. We’re here for whatever they do.

Justice League: The Omega Act Special #1 (DC Comics) – There’s been a big story building since “All In” began and this issue seems like it’s going to be a key part of that, sending it along to the next phase.

Last Day Of H.P. Lovecraft #1 (BOOM! Studios) – An adaptation of a French graphic novel, it explores the end of Lovecraft’s life and the beginning of the myth of Lovecraft.

Roots Of Madness #1 (Ignition Press) – Cosmic horror meets the real like of Madame CJ Walker. Ignition has put out some awesome comics so far and we’re excited to check out each new release because of that.

Savager #1 (Panick Entertainment) – Nearly 100 years after Earth fell to cosmic parasites, seemingly only the SAVAGER — Riley Phillips, a former secret service agent fused with a deadly alien – remains. Alone and driven by vengeance, he roams the wasteland, guided only by the voice inside him. But when he discovers a living human, everything changes. Can a monster that was once a man become humanity’s last hope in this bloody post-apocalyptic Western?

Speed Racer #3 (Mad Cave Studios) – The series has been a fantastic update to the classic anime and manga with a story that’s very Fast and the Furious and all about family.

Spider-Man Noir #1 (Marvel) – Erik Larsen back at Marvel on Spider-Man. Yeah, we’re here for it.

Star Trek: Red Shirts #3 (IDW Publishing) – The series has been awesome taking what’s been a punchline in Star Trek and turning it into a badass Dirty Dozen-ish story.

Starship Godzilla #1 (IDW Publishing) – Kaiju. In. Space! Check out our early review.

Ultimate Wolverine #10 (Marvel) – The series has been solid so far with a look at the resistance standing up against the Rasputins.

X-Men: Age Of Revelation Overture #1 (Marvel) – The next big event for the X-Men is here!

Absolute Wonder Woman #12 (DC Comics) – The series has been fantastic with Wonder Woman currently in a maze and diving a bit into the mystery of the Amazons and we’re glued to see where it goes.

Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite Of Spring #3 (IDW Publishing) – Every issue of this series, and the first volume, have been fantastic with a cherry but creepy nature to it all. The mix of 90s early internet with a serial killer is making for an intriguing reading.

Escape #2 (Image Comics) – The first issue was an interesting war story that has a pilot shot down behind enemy lines deciding if he’ll complete his mission or try to escape what’s coming.

Fist Of The North Star Hardcover Vol. 18 (VIZ Media) – We’re pretty sure this is the final volume. The series has had a great presentation with this release and we can’t wait to see how it all wraps up.

Immortal Legend Batman #2 (DC Comics) – The first issue actually surprised us being more than just Batman in a different setting. It went in unexpected directions and we’re hoping the second issue keeps us guessing.

Phantom #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – A classic character returns to comics. It’ll be interesting to see how this one is handled in today’s world.

Rise Of The G.E.M.S. Genetically Engineered Mice In Space Vol. 1 (Roaring Brook Press) – Genetically engineered mice in space. What’s not to like?

Skinbreaker #1 (Skybound) – The art by David Finch on this one is unreal.

Space Ghost Vol. 2 #3 (Dynamite Entertainment) – The series has been fantastic. We keep saying it’s one of the best superhero series on the shelves and we mean it. It’s a great mix of single issues you can enjoy and multi-issue storytelling.

Spider-Man: Shadow Warrior (VIZ Media) – There’s some awesome art in this one. Check out our review.

Star Trek: The Last Starship #1 (IDW Publishing) – It’s the return of James T. Kirk as the Federation must deal with the Burn!

Street Sharks #1 (IDW Publishing) – The classic property is back!

Thor #2 (Marvel) – The first issue was intriguing with what felt like a deep dive into Thor’s history. There’s a lot to like in this Thor is an average person with amnesia take and we want to see where it goes.

Twilight Zone #1 (IDW Publishing) – We’re excited to check out the return of this classic. We’re hoping for a nice twisted horror/sci-fi anthology vibe.

Ultimate Hawkeye #1 (Marvel) – This version of Hawkeye gets the spotlight!

Ultimate Spider-Man #21 (Marvel) – The series has been fantastic and with it wrapping up with issue #25, we have no idea where it’s going and what’s coming.

Universal Monsters: The Invisible Man #2 (Skybound) – The first issue was fantastic of this take on the classic tale.

Void Rivals #23 (Skybound) – It’s war and we have no idea how it’ll end with both Cobra-La and the Quintessons looming.

Wild Animals #3 (Mad Cave Studios) – This tale of revenge has been excellent so far.

Absolute Flash #7 (DC Comics) – The series is an interesting new take on the classic character and it’s exciting to see how each issue reinterprets the concept.

Exquisite Corpses #5 (Image Comics) – The series has been great as hired killers are thrown into a town to battle it out on behalf of shadowy families that really run America.

Flow #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – A young woman gets her period and is tortured by her bunkmates at camp. Years later, those tormentors are cursed and need to track down the likely source, the girl they tormented.

Good As Dead #1 (Image Comics) – Sheriff David Calhoun will need to stay one step ahead of the forces looking to take his town apart. If he has any chance of bringing the truth to light, he’ll need to expose generations of secrets while outrunning death itself. Well then.

Killer: Affairs Of The State II #4 (BOOM! Studios/Archaia) – The series follows a hired hitman and this one has him questioning is motivations and what justice truly is in the world.

Krypto: The Last Dog Of Krypton #4 (DC Comics) – The series consistently has tugged at heart strings and we expect no less from this issue.

Lucas Wars (23rd Street) – The history behind the creation of Star Wars: A New Hope. It’ll be interesting to see what’s covered here and how much of a warts and all take it is.

Magic: The Gathering – Untold Stories Elspeth #1 (Dark Horse) – Based on the response to the preview we posted, this series is going to be a hot one. The classic card game gets a new publisher and new direction.

Marvel Zombies: Red Band #1 (Marvel) – This could go a whole bunch of ways and we’re intrigued to see how “Red Band” it gets.

Marvel/DC Deadpool/Batman #1 (Marvel) – Marvel and DC are teaming up after decades. That alone makes this one to check out.

No Man’s Land #1 (Image Comics) – A natural bridge between Russia and the US opens up every so often, so what happens when a body is found on it?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Casey Jones #1 (IDW Publishing) – The main TMNT comic has been fantastic so we’re excited to see how this spin-off does, building off of the excitement and excellence of the main series.

Voyeur #1 (Ignition Press) – The series sounds like it’s about an art thief but with a title like that, we’re expecting some sexiness. Ignition Press’ first release, Murder Podcast, was a solid debut and we have high expectations for this one.

Wild West C.O.W.-Boys Of Moo Mesa #1 (ONI Press) – The classic animated series comes to comics!

Absolute Batman #12 (DC Comics) – Just a fantastic series and we have no idea what type of torture will go through next at the hands of Bane.

Battle Action #8, Battle Action #9, Battle Action #10 (Rebellion) – If you’re a fan of war and action comics, you shouldn’t miss this trio of releases. The series is always entertaining and some times educational about the history of the characters and comics within.

Blue Falcon and Dynomutt #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – Dynamite has been doing an amazing job of reviving classic cartoon properties so we’re hoping this hits that high bar too.

C.O.R.T.: Children of the Round Table #1 (DC Comics) – The series is an interesting one as it sounds like a mix of Arthurian Legend focused on kids. The fact DC is diving into creator-owned again is even more intriguing.

Feral #16 (Image Comics) – The series is fantastic horror that has art that’s cute but a Walking Dead vibe underneath.

InvestiGators Case Files Vol. 1 (First Second) – The series is always a fun read for kids and adults with spy like action and a lot of humor.

It Killed Everyone But Me #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – The series sounds like interesting horror as a survivor must deal with the past when two teens disappear in the present.

Murder Podcast #1 (Ignition Press) – A podcast is driving people to kill!

Powers 25 #1 (Dark Horse) – The classic superhero cop series is back celebrating 25 years and it’ll be interesting to see what it’s like reading it in today’s world.

Punisher Red Band #1 (Marvel) – The Punisher is back and it’s an “R-rated” comic!

Racer X #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – The main Speed Racer series is solid so we’re excited to see what this tie-in series will be like. It’s got a high bar to match!

Red Hood #1 (DC Comics) – An adult focused Red Hood series? Yes, please!

Space Ghost Vol. 2 #2 (Dynamite Entertainment) – The series is fantastic and one of the best superhero comics on the shelves. It does an amazing job of balancing issues you can enjoy on their own but also tie into a meta story that runs each volume.

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #2 (DC Comics/Black Label) -The first issue was a lot of fun as Superman has to deal with new types of Kryptonite that have unknown affects on him.

Survive #1 (Bad Idea) – A Russian and an American are trapped in a sinking sub and they’re focusing on killing each other before time runs out.

T.A.M.A. #2 (Panick Entertainment) – The first issue was some interesting horror. I little Gremlins. A little Pokémon. A little Lawnmower Man. We want to know how these virtual pets are killing people!!!

Transformers #24 (Skybound) – Daniel Warren Johnson’s amazing run wraps up and the review copy we got sent is redacted which says a lot!

Ultimate Wolverine #9 (Marvel) – The series has been solid with great art and seeing Wolverine actually struggle with his past actions is a nice touch.

Adventures of Superman: Book of El #1 (DC Comics) – Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Scott Godlewski reunite for this new series that sees a powerful ally-turned-enemy invade Earth!

Batman #1 (DC Comics) – Matt Fraction and Jorge Jiménez take on Batman!

Blood Honey #1 (IDW Publishing) – Two teens decide instead of breaking up, it’d be better to just try to off each other in increasingly elaborate fashion!

Everything Dead and Dying #1 (Image Comics) – A man is the sole survivor in his community during the zombie apocalypse and has decided to live alongside the undead. But, outsiders discover his town and he is what stands between them and these strangers killing the undead.

Imperial War: Exiles #1 (Marvel) – The event series has been amazing and these spin-off series has been solid to read expanding on the story with a focus on some of the key players.

Kaiju No. 8 B-Side Vol. 2/Kaiju No. 8 Vol. 14 (VIZ Media) – The series has been excellent and this week we get a combo of the main series as well as the B-Side series that expands the story of various characters. It’s awesome kaiju action!

Silenced Voices: Reclaiming Memories from the Guatemalan Genocide (HarperAlley) – We’re hoping to learn more about this history.

Spider-Man ’94 #1 (Marvel) – The beloved animated series continues in a new comic series.

Star Trek: Red Shirts #2 (IDW Publishing) – A bunch of Red Shirts are on a mission… which I guess this kind of makes them a suicide squad in some way. Or would it be the expendables? Either way, the Red Shirts get their chance to show themselves kicking ass.

Star Trek: Voyager – Homecoming #1 (IDW Publishing) – The crew of the Voyager have made it home but their adventure isn’t over yet.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #11 (IDW Publishing) – The series has been fantastic and Jason Aaron’s run is almost over. Just one more to go after this.

White House Robot Romance #1 (DSTLRY) – Runaway robots find themselves hunted by government agents and targeted by corporate spies in what quickly spirals into an international crisis.

Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite Of Spring #2 (IDW Publishing) – The series is a mix of cute and murderous following Samantha who might seem disarming but is also a serial killer.

Dust To Dust #6 (Image Comics) – A murder mystery set during the Dust Bowl. We have no idea how this is going to wrap up and who will turn out to be the killer.

Hellboy And The B.P.R.D.: Professor Harvey is Gone #1 (Dark Horse) – Hellboy is always a fun time and does an amazing job of being a series that new readers can dive in and enjoy while paying off long time fans.

Immortal Legend Batman #1 (DC Comics) – An Elseworlds story is a mix of western and sci-fi introducing a new Batman, Robin, and Nightwing with an ending that makes it far more than Batman in a different location.

Imperial War: Black Panther #1/Imperial War: Planet She-Hulk #1 (Marvel) – Imperial has been a fantastic event and we’re hoping these spin-offs raise the event even more as it continues to shake up the Marvel Univere’s cosmic corner.

Knives: A Criminal Book (Image Comics) – It’s a new Criminal graphic novel, nuff said.

Masterminds #1 (Dark Horse) – A video game programmer gets invited into a secret society. He just needs to survive the initiation.

The Mortal Thor #1 (Marvel) – The description for the series has us excited to see Al Ewing’s next chapter which brings a broken Thor to Earth where Asgard isn’t real!? Somewhere in the city… a man is waking up. A man with a hammer.

Robin And Batman: Jason Todd #3 (DC Comics) – Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen have been putting together an amazing series and every issue we’ve recommended and had no hesitation to do so.

Speed Racer #2 (Mad Cave Studios) – The first issue was fantastic updating the classic property but keeping so much of what we love. The second issue brings the action to the race track as Speed needs to raise money to save his father.

Stitch #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – The beloved Disney animated film gets some more awesome comics!

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – The Seeds Of Salvation #1 (IDW Publishing) – The series is a solid start with a good mystery that has us wanting to see where it all goes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder #1 (IDW Publishing) – Shredder is back!

Ultimate Spider-Man #20 (Marvel) – One of the best comic Marvel is putting out right now and it’s barreling to the end of this chapter of the series. What comes next? We have no idea but we’re beyond excited to find out!

Universal Monsters: The Invisible Man #1 (Skybound) – Skybound’s Universal Monsters series has been amazing with great storytelling and art and we expect no less from this.

Void Rivals #22 (Skybound) – If you’re a Transformers fan, this is a can’t miss. It not only is building its own new world, but it’s also adding so much to Transformers.

A Business Proposal Vol. 10 (IZE Press) – The series wraps up with this volume and we absolute love this rom-com that has us gushing with each release.

Absolute Batman #11 (DC Comics) – We really want to know what’s up with this version of Bane.

Big Rig #2 (Vault Comics) – It’s Army of Darkness with a truck instead of a shotgun.

Drome (23rd Street) – It’s difficult to describe the graphic novel beyond it’s a battle of order and chaos with gods involved in a fantasy world. With a minimal amount of words, it’s one of the best graphic novels this year.

Eat Your Young #1 (Mad Cave Studios) – A 2,000 year old Immortal Warlord decides he’s done and names his six year old daughter as the next Alpha of the immortal clan. Every hundred years, during a brutal 27-day window known as The Centurium, his children have one chance to rip out his heart and claim the throne.

Escape #1 (Image Comics) – A pilot is shot down behind enemy lines and needs to get out of the area before it’s completely annihilated by more bombs.

Event Horizon: Dark Descent #1 (IDW Publishing) – The movie tweaks us to this day. The comic gave us flashbacks to that. Solid horror and a return to the Event Horizon.

Exquisite Corpses #4 (Image Comics) – It’s a mix of a whole lot of different concepts like Battle Royale, The Purge, fighting video games, all with a great flair and fun psychos upping the body count.

G.I. Joe #10 (Skybound) – The series has been great with a solid take on the classic property with a nice update that finally ties in Transformers and so much more.

Imperial #3 (Marvel) – The event that shakes Marvel’s cosmos has been excellent so far and this issue reveals who’s behind it… and it’s probably not who you think.

Justice League Red #1 (DC Comics) – It’s a new spec-ops team that’s off the radar. We’re want to see how this fits into everything.

Rooster Fighter Vol. 8 (VIZ Media) – Really the title says it all and it’s not much more than a Rooster than knows martial arts and fights demons.

Solo Leveling Vol. 13 (IZE Press) – The series is nearing the end and we want to see how it ratchets up with action. Such a great fantasy series that gets better and more epic with each volume.

The Umbrella Academy Plan B #2 (Dark Horse) – The first issue was a welcome return and we’re excited to see what the rest of the series brings.

Killer Affairs Of The State II #3 (BOOM! Studios) – The series has been interesting examining The Killer morals and motivation and making a point that justice really is only served to those who can afford it.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III #1 (BOOM! Studios) – It’s the Power Rangers and Turtles… how can you not read this?

Predator Kills The Marvel Universe #1 (Marvel) – Turn your brain off fun and we’re here for it.

Quick Stops Volume 3 #1 (Dark Horse) – We finally get to see the comic Holden made in Chasing Amy!

Space Ghost Volume 2 #1 (Dynamite) – The second volume kicks off and the first was so damn good, this is a can’t miss series and one of the best superhero comics on the shelves right now.

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #1 (DC Comics) – Superman has to explore new types of Kryptonite. It’s a DC Black Label comic, so we’re kind of interested in seeing what happens.

Transformers #23 (Skybound) – We need to see where this arc goes with Ultra Magnus’ PTSD, the stuff on Cybertron, Megatron back… we want to know!

Uncle Scrooge Earth’s Mightiest Duck #1 (Marvel) – Jason Aaron is writing this with art by Mahmud Asrar, Giuseppe Camuncoli, and Ciro Cangialosi. Scrooge McDuck is facing a battle unlike any he’s ever fought, trapped inside his own mind, fighting to preserve his most precious memories. Uh, yeah.

Valiant Beyond Bloodshot #1 (Alien Books/Valiant Entertainment) – The whole Valiant Universe has been a bit messy for a while, so we’re hoping things get settled and this is more a fresh start.

Ancestral Recall #1 (AHOY Comics) – When Melvin’s wife mysteriously disappears, he must call on the most important Black figures of all time to help him in his search.

Archie Vs. Minor Threats #1 (Dark Horse) – A magical spell by Sabrina the Teenage Witch lands Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead into the world of Minor Threats.

Astro Royale Vol. 1 (VIZ Media) – It’s superpowered yakuza battling it out!

Captain America #2 (Marvel) – We’re intrigued by this new character David Colton and where writer Chip Zdarsky goes with this post 9-11 take on Captain America.

Cheetah And Cheshire Rob The Justice League #1 (DC Comics) – heetah and Cheshire assemble a team of misfits and oddballs to pull off the impossible — robbing the Justice League Watchtower. From Greg Ruck and Nicola Scott, this is a must buy.

Cul-De-Sac #1 (Bad Idea) – Bad Idea feels like it’s relaunched and reinvigorated and this horror series sounds intriguing and the art looks great. Kids are on the run, chased by vampire hunters, the police, and even a shadowy cabal of their fellow vampires.

Godzilla: Escape The Deadzone #1 (IDW Publishing) – There are stories of a man. Or rather… a half kaiju, half man… who travels freely throughout the Deadzone. Some say he can even kill a kaiju. Some say… he’s not the only of his kind. A new entry in the Kai-Sei Era of IDW’s Godzilla universe! Read our early review.

One World Under Doom #6 (Marvel) – The event series has been great so far and we’re on the edge of our seats to see how it all unravels for Doom!
