Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

Survive #5

Wednesdays are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find think below, and what comics you should be looking out for

Absolute Batman #16 (DC Comics) – Batman and Wonder Woman meeting up continues here with another adventure!

Absolute Martian Manhunter #8 (DC Comics) – The series is wild and feels more Vertigo than Absolute but with its interesting storytelling and trippy visuals, we’re hooked no matter the branding.

Absolute Wonder Woman #16 (DC Comics) – Absolute Zatanna. Nuff said.

Do Not Disturb #1 (Invader Comics) – It’s a murder mystery with a little bit of Sixth Sense. We reviewed the first issue and think it’s one that shouldn’t be missed.

Feral #20 (Image Comics) – The series has been solid tense horror with adorable art and where it’s going, we have no idea. Keeping readers on their toes is partially why this series is so good.

G.I. JOE #18 (Skybound) – With “Dreadnok War” over, we want to see where this all goes as the world of G.I. JOE and Transformers gets closer and intertwine even more.

Infernal Hulk #3 (Marvel) – The series has been fantastic so far leaning heavy into its horror roots with a look the perfectly nails the mood.

Iron Man #1 (Marvel) – Joshua Williamson writing the series is all we need to want to check it out.

Malevolent #1 (Image Comics) – Thirty years ago, we unleashed demons into the world. But humans can adapt to anything, even a demon haunted world. But now, humanity has created something new. A weapon that can kill demons. If she doesn’t kill us first. Justin Jordan, John Bivens, and Felipe Sobreiro team for this one.

No Place #3 (Ignition Press) – We’ll admit the series isn’t quite what we expected and instead more X-Files with a fairy tale twist than anything else.

Survive #5 (Bad Idea) – The comic has been perfect 80s action. A sinking sub due to sabotage, a lone Russian survivor and American spy must work together to make it to the surface and now they have, work together to prevent nuclear war.

Wrestle Heist #2 (Image Comics) – The first issue was intriguing taking the traditional heist type story but putting it in the world of wrestling. With enough winks and nods, the series seems to be one that those who enjoy the genre can sit back and read while those more into wrestling will pick up some of the history.
