Wednesdays (and Tuesdays) are new comic book day! Each week hundreds of comics are released, and that can be pretty daunting to go over and choose what to buy. That’s where we come in

Each week our contributors choose what they can’t wait to read this week or just sounds interesting. In other words, this is what we’re looking forward to and think you should be taking a look at!

Find out what folks think below, and what comics you should be looking out for this week.

Barbaric: Born in Blood #1 (Vault Comics) – The series has always been a hell of a lot of fun mixing fantasy, action, and humor for some solid entertainment.

Bear Pirate Viking Queen #1 (Image Comics) – Bears. Pirates. Vikings. And Queens-all battling for their claim to determine what the world will become. Yes please!

Blood Brothers Mother #1 (DSTLRY) – Brian Azzarello and Eduaro Risso team for a western.

Blood Hunt #1/Blood Hunt (Red Band) #1 (Marvel) – Marvel’s big event kicks off and we’re intrigued to see how the adult “Red Band” differs from the general release.

Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII #1 (Marvel) – With the film coming out later this year we’re intrigued to check out this comic and how in general Marvel attempts to build off the film.

Get Fury #1 (Marvel) – Nick Fury has been captured by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War and Frank Castle is sent in to take care of it.

Lester of the Lesser Gods #1 (Dark Horse Comics) – Something from Eric Powell? Yeah, we’re here for it.

The Scale Trade #1 (Magma Comix) – Dragons are hunted and poached in this alternate world.

Space Ghost #1 (Dynamite Entertainment) – As Space Ghost fans, we’re beyond excited to check out the new series. It’s at the top of our list this week.

Toxic Summer #1 (Oni Press) – It all sounds like screwball comedy with mutated individuals during summer break and we’re here for it.

The Whisper Queen #1 (Image Comics) – Chip Zdarsky and Kris Anka return to the land of Blacksand with new series. But, let’s face it, Zdarsky and Anka on anything is getting us to take notice.
