New Assortment of The Walking Dead Minimates Coming to Toys“R”Us!

The fifth season of The Walking Dead recently returned to television screens, and soon a new selection of The Walking Dead Minimates will arrive at Toys“R”Us with a vengeance! Based on the best-selling comic book by series creator Robert Kirkman, the latest figures from Diamond Select Toys include some of the comic’s most popular characters, as well as the line’s first fan-chosen figure!

Coming to Toys“R”Us stores nationwide and Toysrus.com in March, the new assortment features characters from the “All Out War” story arc featured in issues #115-126 of The Walking Dead, based on artwork by series artist Charlie Adlard. In the arc, Rick’s group teams up with other communities against the powerful Saviors group.

The assortment features four two-packs, each pairing a human character with a zombie. The human line-up includes:

Alexandria Rick Grimes – Living in the walled city of Alexandria with his fellow survivors, Rick leads the community to war against the Saviors. Rick comes packaged with a Balding Zombie.

Negan – Negan is the leader of the saviors, and enforces their draconian laws. He is deceptively polite, but has the potential for terrible violence. Negan comes with a gate-guarding Thug Zombie and his barbed-wire baseball bat Lucille.

Ezekiel – Ezekiel is the leader of the Kingdom, and plays the role of king with gusto. When Rick votes to stand against the Saviors, Ezekiel agrees. Ezekiel comes with a Mauled Zombie. Available exclusively at Toys“R”Us beginning in March.

Andrea – One of the few remaining members of Rick’s original group, Andrea has become an excellent shot, and is Alexandria’s resident zombie sniper. Andrea comes with the Prom Zombie, who was the winner of a poll conducted by the official The Walking Dead magazine to be the next zombie Minimate. Available exclusively at Toys“R”Us beginning in March.

Each 2-inch Minimates mini-figure features 14 points of articulation, as well as interchangeable parts and character-specific accessories. A companion assortment at comic shops will feature figures of supporting characters Jesus, Dwight, Chris, Derek and Holly.

They’re coming! The newest assortment of The Walking Dead Minimates, based on the hit comic book by Robert Kirkman, is almost here, and Toys R Us will have an exclusive assortment of the 2-inch mini-figures, featuring an array of all-new characters and zombies!

Four two-packs will be exclusively available at Toys “R” Us and on toysrus.com as part of Series 5, available this spring:

Walking Dead Minimates Series 4 Coming to Toys “R” Us!

Diamond Select Toys recently unveiled the specialty assortment of Walking Dead Minimates Series 4, based on creator Robert Kirkman‘s long-running horror comic which inspired the TV show of the same name. Well, now they’ve unveiled the Toys “R” Us-exclusive assortment, which features six brand-new figures based on the artwork of series artist Charlie Adlard!

Based on the famous Prison vs. Woodbury storyline, the assortment includes new, exclusive figures of Rick Grimes, the leader of the main band of survivors, and the Governor, the sadistic ruler of Woodbury. Both depict the characters as they appear towards the end of the storyline, bearing the severe injuries inflicted upon them by the Governor and Michonne, respectively. Both figures are exclusive to Toys “R” Us, and each comes with his own exclusive walker, the Gunshot Zombie and the Biker Zombie, respectively.

Also in the assortment are the sword-wielding Michonne (in her poncho) and a pre-conflict figure of the Governor, both of whom are also available in the specialty store assortment. However, the specialty-exclusive figures of Woodbury goons Gabe and Bruce have been replaced by two new zombies! Michonne comes with the Crawling Zombie, who has a lower body piece that allows him to drag his severed torso along the ground, and the Governor comes with the Jaw Zombie.

Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall and comes with a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories. Look for Series 4 in stores September, at Toys “R” Us, specialty stores and comic shops!

SDCC 2013: Diamond Select Offers Exclusive Walking Dead Minimates Set!

At San Diego Comic-Con 2012, Diamond Select Toys released the first two-pack from their line of The Walking Dead Minimates, based on the best-selling Skybound comic book by Robert Kirkman. The two-pack quickly sold out, and DST swore to top themselves in 2013. Now, with the third full series of The Walking Dead Minimates in stores, DST and Skybound are proud to announce a new exclusive four-pack for this year’s Comic-Con!

This year’s Comic-Con exclusive Walking Dead Minimates box set is titled Hershel’s Farm, and it includes four different Minimates based on the famous farmhouse story arc. Included in the set are Hershel, his deceased son Zombie Shawn, Lookout Duty Rick and a Barn Zombie. The Minimates come in a blister-carded four-pack, and each stands 2 inches tall, with a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories, including a pitchfork and a blanket. The set will be limited to only 3000 produced.

The set will be available at the Diamond Select Toys booth, #2607, as well as from various retailers around the show floor. San Diego Comic-Con 2013 takes place July 18-21 at the San Diego Convention Center.

The Walking Dead Minimates Series 3 is Breaking Out in New Photos!

This week sees the release of The Walking Dead Series 3 Minimates at comic shops and specialty stores, and they’re all from the famous prison story arc of the hit comic book by Robert Kirkman!

Rick, Hershel and Dexter face off against a trio of zombies in three different two-packs, and be on the lookout for a short-packed Battle-Damaged Tyreese! Hershel and Tyreese (both with Farmer Zombie) are exclusively at comic shops and specialty stores, while Rick and Dexter (with Guard and Dreadlock Zombies) are shared with Toys “R” Us stores. Two additional sets, Glenn and Carol (with Vest and Pole Zombies), are exclusively at Toys “R” Us.
