The Walking Dead Minimates Come to Life in a New Short Film

The third series of The Walking Dead Minimates hits comic shops and specialty stores on June 12th, and has already been spotted at Toys “R” Us. To commemorate the occasion, Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum have put together a short film starring all of the TWD Minimates to date, and it’s not for the faint of heart!

With photography and editing by Alex Kropinak, a voiceover by Chris Ward and music by Matt Takacs, the film draws on Rick’s famous speech from the prison arc of the groundbreaking comic book, setting it to some of the most horrifying Minimates images you have ever seen. Check out the film below, and look for Series 3 in your local store!

Walking Dead Minimates Series 4 Will Rise this Summer

Fans of the Walking Dead TV show may not know how the prison storyline will end, but fans of the comic know that it will probably not end well! The fourth assortment of Walking Dead Minimates, based on the long-running comic book series by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard, features one of the most hated villains in comic book history, the Governor, as well as some of his closest friends and worst enemies.

Walking Dead Minimates Series 4 re-unites the Governor and his lieutenants with some of the people who hated him the most. The Governor himself comes in a two-pack with his lieutenant Gabe, with whom he stormed the gates of the prison. Michonne, the woman who received the worst of the Governor’s brutality, comes with his accomplice Bruce, as well as a new poncho accessory. Rick’s wife Lori (with baby Judith) comes with a partially flayed Shoulder Zombie, and a variant of that set will replace Lori with the prison doctor and Woodbury defector, Alice.

Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall and includes a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories. All of these figures will be available at comic shops and specialty stores this summer.

Walking Dead Minimates Series 3 Will Rise this Spring

The dead cannot be stopped, and neither can the Walking Dead Minimates! With Series 2 in Toys “R” Us, comic shops and specialty stores now, Series 3 is gearing up for production from Diamond Select Toys! And like the first two series, it includes popular lead characters, short-lived favorites and zombies straight from the comic book pages!

Coming in Spring 2013, look for the following figures to hit comic shops and specialty stores:

Dexter and Dreadlock Zombie
Prison Hershel and Farmer Zombie (comic shop and specialty store exclusive)

The first series of Walking Dead Minimates has been selling out in stores on both sides of the Atlantic, leading to a worldwide zombie shortage! In order to alleviate this shortage, Diamond Select Toys and Amazon.com have teamed up to offer an exclusive four-pack of Minimates, taken straight from the hit comic book series by Robert Kirkman. The set includes two new zombies, a Roamer and a Lurker, plus all-new versions of Michonne (with angry expression) and Rick Grimes (in prison garb, with battle damage). Each Minimate stands 2 inches tall with 14 points of articulation, and features interchangeable and removable parts. The set also includes Rick’s shotgun and pistol and Michonne’s sword, and will be available on Amazon.com in mid-December.

The Walking Dead Minimates Outbreak Has Been Contained! Series 2 is in Package!

The Walking Dead Minimates Series 2, based on the hit comic book by Robert Kirkman, will arrive later this month from Diamond Select Toys, and we’ve got packaged pictures of the entire assortment! Andrea and her short-packed sister Amy (with zombies) will only be at comic shops and specialty stores, while Lori and Morgan (with zombies) will only be at Toys “R” Us and toysrus.com. Shared between both markets will be a two-pack of zombies and the sword-wielding Michonne (with zombie)! Each Minimate is 2 inches tall and comes with multiple interchangeable parts and accessories.
