Backer Beware: Crowdfunding projects are not guaranteed to be delivered and/or delivered when promised. We always recommend to do your research before backing.

The fans have spoken and AWA is delivering! Back by popular demand, comics publisher AWA has launched its first ever Kickstarter campaign to bring fans what they’ve been asking for – more Fight Girls! The independent developer of bold and relevant stories from the world’s most outstanding creators today launched a new edition of the hit series from revered Ringo and Ignatz Award-winning creator, writer, and artist, Frank Cho called Fight Girls – Deluxe Director’s Cut Edition. Colored by Sabine Rich and lettered by Sal Cipriano with a new wrap-around cover from Cho and Rich, the deluxe edition allows Cho to tell the extended Fight Girls story, with new story pages and new backmatter and process images to show how Fight Girls was created.

When the Queen of the Galaxy suddenly disappears in Fight Girls, ten hard-as-nails women face off in an ancient contest to claim her throne. To win the challenge each contestant must survive the hazards of the planet’s harsh landscape, the ferocious predators on and below its surface, and their fellow contestants. There are no limits in this high-stakes contest, especially when we learn one of the competitors is an infiltrator who has her eye on a bigger prize.

In Frank Cho’s extended version of Fight Girls, the writer is expanding scenes and adding more to this already hard-hitting story. Over a dozen new pages allows Cho to give audiences more character building, more story, and more dinosaur fights!

Fight Girls – Deluxe Director’s Cut Edition runs until Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 10 PM EDT.

A Man’s Skin

MSRP: $24.99
Release Date: October 29th

An award-winning fairy tale about love set in Renaissance Italy. Bianca is a young lady from a good family and is of marriage age. Her parents find her a fiancé́ to their liking: Giovanni, a rich merchant, young and pleasant. The wedding looks set to go smoothly even though Bianca cannot hide her disappointment at having to marry a man she knows nothing about.

But before the marriage, she learns the secret held and bequeathed by the women of her family for generations: a “man’s skin.” By donning it, Bianca becomes “Lorenzo” and enjoys all the attributes of a young man of stunning beauty. She can now visit the world of men incognito and get to know her fiancé́ in his natural environment. In her male skin, Bianca frees herself from the limits imposed on women. The morals of the Renaissance then act as a mirror to our present time and poses several questions: why should women be treated differently from men? Why should their freedom be the object of contempt and coercion?

Tackling universal themes through a captivating and subtle fairy tale, French writer Hubert and artist Zanzim brilliantly question our relationship to gender and sexuality…but not only that. By mixing morality and humor, A Man’s Skin invites us to the mad and noble quest for love.
