PANICK Entertainment has revealed new details for the upcoming T.A.M.A. #5 (of 6), arriving December 24, 2025. The issue’s striking new covers set the stage for the penultimate chapter of the acclaimed virtual-pet horror series — and introduce a bold new corner of the PANICK universe: a satirical TAMUMU short from writer Timmy Heague and artist Agnes Garbowska that’s inspired by a certain popular toy line.
T.A.M.A. #5 — THE EVOLUTION CONTINUES
As protagonist Kit and his friends fight to survive their murderous digital companion, the series reaches new levels of intensity and evolution — literally. The issue teases that T.A.M.A. will “EVOLVE,” setting up the explosive finale to the hit mini-series.
Covers include:
Cover A: Ashley Witter
Cover B: Agnes Garbowska — a Labubu homage that fuses PANICK’s horror DNA with designer-toy culture
Retailer Incentive: Order any 10 copies of Covers A and/or B to qualify for Cover C by Tony Fleecs
The newly announced short, featured in T.A.M.A. #5, takes the meta-horror concept of evil virtual pets and expands it into toys gone wrong. Heague and Garbowska’s story affectionately spoofs the world of collectible monsters and designer-toys , blending satire and scares in equal measure.
The short also serves as a prelude to the upcoming Compannual one-shot, debuting May 2026, which will feature a lineup of fan-favorite creators from across PANICK’s titles — and surprise guests from the indie and toy design worlds telling anthology tales of terror featuring the various COMPANIMALS from T.A.M.A.
More details on Compannual will be announced in early 2026.
In the previous issue, grieving teen Kit found a new best friend in TAMA – a virtual pet with a dark side. As he bonds with the creature, it begins lashing out violently—forcing Kit to uncover the horrifying truth behind the unreleased COMPANIMALS game. What turned these cute companions into something so vengeful? Is TAMA misunderstood… or truly monstrous?

We have the exclusive initial reveal that PANICK Entertainment‘s T.A.M.A. #1, the debut issue of its flagship title, is nearly sold out at the distributor level. Due to overwhelming demand from retailers and customers, a second printing is now underway featuring two brand-new variant covers by legendary designer and illustrator Jim Fletcher, paying homage to the iconic style of classic Pokémon trading cards. In addition, the enormously popular Tony Fleecs Cover B videogame homage variant from the first printing will be re-issued in a gorgeous rainbow foil format, also as a 1:10 incentive cover across both second printing variants. This second printing will be exclusively distributed by the Massive Indies section of the Lunar catalog.
Due to continued demand, PANICK is introducing a special 1:10 rainbow foil reprint of the original Cover B. This limited incentive will be available to retailers who order ten combined copies of the second printing’s Cover A and Cover B, with an MSRP of $20.00. The foil edition celebrates the momentum behind T.A.M.A. and gives fans another chance to own a standout version of the launch that’s generating serious buzz.
Written by Adam Schlagman and Doug Pasko, with interior art by Daniel HDR, T.A.M.A. tells the chilling story of Kit, a lonely teen who finds companionship in a mysterious virtual pet device — only to discover it’s connected to a string of gruesome deaths. It’s Pokémon meets Child’s Play, and readers have taken notice.
T.A.M.A. is the kind of series that catches fire because of word of mouth, and clearly, word is spreading fast. We’re beyond grateful to retailers and customers for making our first book such a success, and we assure you that we are just getting started.
-PANICK Publisher and Co-Founder Kris Longo
PANICK’s success with T.A.M.A. is exactly why we created the Massive Indies program — to give independent publishers the tools, infrastructure, and support to break through with bold original series. The impending sell-out and second printing aren’t just a win for PANICK, they’re proof of concept that this partnership works.
-Michael Calero, CEO/Founder of Massive Indies
The second printing will hit shops August 27, 2025, just in time for late-summer conventions and back-to-school buzz. Final order cutoff is July 28, 2025 via Lunar/Massive Indies. Retailers are encouraged to place their reorders quickly, as print runs will be limited.
After a lot of teasing and hints, Panick Entertainment makes its debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. The new publisher is “dedicated to modernizing horror and sci-fi comics for readers and rattling the status quo of genre comic storytelling.”

Charles Christopher Chiang is the company’s CFO and Mark McCann is the chief creative officer. Chris Ryall is serving as a chief advisor.
Actor/writer David Dastmalchian is launching a new horror title through the publisher with longtime associate Leah Kilpatrick. The comic is a five-issue mini-series.
