Kids & Monsters sees three kids sucked into an ancient war after finding monsters in their backpacks

Stranger Things meets Pokémon in Adam Lawson‘s Kids & Monsters. The co-writer of Massive Publishing‘s hit series Wesley Snipes’ The Exiled, and the director of Wil Wheaton’s TableTop, Spellslingers, Sagas of Sundry, and Escape the Night, delivers something for younger readers in this all-new teen horror-adventure. It features art by Maxi Dall’o and Mike Spicer with cover art by Jake Smith.

Three troubled teenagers from the crumbling town of Lovelock get sucked into an ancient war after finding monsters in their backpacks. With cracks forming around their town seeming to mirror their parents’ looming divorce, a path has opened to the realm of Beasts and Monsters.

The trio tries to navigate the war at home while they fight to survive the one raging between the World Within and the World We Know. With the help of the Monsters in their backpacks, will they be able to stop the Red Beasts and save their family?

Massive Publishing and Printed In Blood announce a New Partnership Focused on High-End Artbooks

Printed In Blood, a boutique publisher who specialize in premium licensed artbooks, have entered into an exclusive distribution deal with Massive Publishing to service the direct-market and trade bookstores. Until now, Printed in Blood’s catalog of prestigious artbooks (including iconic titles such as John Carpenter’s The Thing, Aliens, Stranger Things, and Ghostbusters) were only available directly from the publisher and its crowdfunding campaigns. This new partnership is set to kick off in August with the highly anticipated retail release of two exquisite artbooks: Bernie Wrightson: A Tribute and the Hannibal: Artbook. These books promise to captivate audiences with their stunning visuals and devilishly charming content. Both titles are initially being offered as limited First Edition releases through Massive’s high-end collectables brand, Massive Select.

Bernie Wrightson: A Tribute showcases over 220 pages of newly created artwork paying homage to the legendary artist Bernie Wrightson (co-creator of DC Comics’ Swamp Thing). With contributions from industry giants such as Mike Mignola, Steve Niles, Jim Valentino, Bill Sienkiewicz, Thomas Jane, Tim Bradstreet, Dan Panosian, Dan Brereton, Kyle Hotz, and more, this collection celebrates Wrightson’s enduring legacy in the realms of horror and sci-fi illustration. From his iconic illustrations for Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to his groundbreaking work in comics and animation, Wrightson’s influence continues to inspire artists around the world. A portion of all proceeds go to the family of Bernie Wrightson.

The Hannibal: Artbook features over 200 pages of meticulously curated artwork inspired by the celebrated TV series “Hannibal.” With a breathtaking cover by the talented Chelsea Lowe, this fully licensed collection will immerse fans in the dark and mesmerizing world of Hannibal, portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen. Additionally, the book includes an all-new foreword by show developer and Executive Producer Bryan Fuller, along with an introduction from EP Martha Di Laurentiis.

Get a first look at the Luchaverse!

Massive Publishing and Masked Republic Comics have released a first look at Luchaverse #1. Announced in April, the comic series blends wrestling and superheroes.

Originally published by Chido Comics, Luchaverse is written by Ivan Plaza and Marco Lopez with art by Ben Harvey and Diego Simone and a cover by Francesco Tomaselli.

It all starts here with the three-part launch of the epic new shared Luchaverse!  The world’s most famous luchadores battle in the ring by day, and serve humanity as monster hunters and world protectors by night. In this series, Masked Republic Comics and Massive Publishing bring back the glory and tradition of real-life lucha libre stars in comic books, setting the stage for a new era filled with epic cross-genre action in a shared universe.  

The first installment of the Luchaverse series is an action-packed double feature that is a perfect entry point for both long-time fans of luchadores and new readers looking for genre-bending adventure and universe-altering mystery. First, Rey Mysterio, the world’s most recognizable luchador discovers his legacy outside of the ring as the next in line to take on a great evil prophesied to return and plunge the world into darkness…

Zorro: Man of the Dead #4 is a solid ending with some fantastic art. We want more!

The arrival of Zorro might have inspired La Vega into rebelling, but that hope is dashed as Diego suffers a big defeat. With his sister captured, Diego has no choice but to give up the fight and reveal the truth about his past to El Rojo, hoping that his surrender will save Rosa and the rest of the villagers. But while Diego might have lost faith in the legend of Zorro, his friends haven’t!

FCBD 2024: Eye Lie Popeye is an anime-inspired reimagining of the classic character. Get a first look this Free Comic Book Day!

Popeye the Sailor Man, one of the most recognizable figures in comic book and animation with a rich 95-year history, makes his triumphant return to comic shops this Saturday, May 4th with a special 24-page preview of the upcoming Eye Lie Popeye #1. The Eye Lie Popeye series is being developed by Massive Publishing and King Features Syndicate. The introduction to the anime-influenced reimagining of Popeye’s world will be available at the annual Free Comic Book Day.

Massive will be following up their promotional Free Comic Book Day release with a mega-sized 40-page debut issue which can be preordered now at comic fans’ favorite local or online comic book retailers. Enter the cyberpunk world of Ramgod from Massive Publishing and Darkrose Studios

Written by Morgan Rosenblum and Owen Rosenblum and featuring art by Canaan White, Ren Spiller, and Ismail Nihad, Ramgod is a new cyberpunk series inspired by The Fast and the Furious and Tron franchises.

Ramgod follows Clint Bowler, a former troubled star athlete turned NCPD Beat Cop, as he tries to balance his dueling responsibilities as a cop and as a father. But his teenage son, Malcolm, wants nothing to do with him. That is until Clint is recruited by Malcolm’s favorite team in the world’s most dangerous sport, Ramgod, after a video of him chasing a perpetrator goes viral.

With a second shot at his dreams, and a chance to find common ground with his son, Clint’s future is looking bright. But looks can be deceiving in New City, and for Clint’s new teammates, they have a nefarious side hustle that will force Clint to sacrifice his newfound stardom or his morality. Either way, it’s a dangerous game.

Massive Publishing and Masked Republic team up this July to launch the most exciting luchador stories within the pages of The Luchaverse, a genre-blending thrill ride starring iconic talents like Rey Mysterio and Tiniebelas Jr. These luchadores may battle in the ring by day, but by night those with an ancient secret lineage serve humanity as monster hunters and world protectors! The Luchaverse was previously published by Chido Comics where you can still purchase the collection.

Each Luchaverse: Catalyst event issue will be a double-feature with 48 pages of thrilling action bringing readers straight into the heart of a centuries old mystery that has suddenly rocked the most powerful luchadores to their cores as an unimaginable power is unleashed. Releasing July 17, 2024, the first issue is written by Ivan Plaza and Marco Lopez.

Kicking off the Luchaverse: Catalyst event, Rey Mysterio, the most recognized luchador on the planet, discovers his legacy outside the ring as the next in line to take on a great evil prophesied to return and plunge the world into darkness. It’s all action and adventure as Mysterio, aided by the clandestine military group known as “The Ambassadors,” heads deep into the jungle to an arcane ancient temple with one mission in mind: retrieve the inconceivably powerful MASK OF THE FIRST MYSTERIO. Omnibus adds Massive Publishing both in-app and the web store

Omnibus has added Massive Publishing to it’s roster of comic publishers. The new phase of their partnership launched today, both in-app and on its web store. Massive is the home of Sean Gordon Murphy’s Zorro: Man of The Dead, Quested, and The Exiled. Omnibus will be the exclusive digital distributor of their catalog for a period.

The initial list of titles included with this partnership are Harriet Tubman: Demon Slayer, Quested, Liquid Kill, North Valley Grimoire, Astrobots, The Exiled, The Plot Holes, Zorro: Man Of The Dead, Assassin’s Creed: Visionaries, and Washed In The Blood.

Zorro: Man of The Dead’s Kickstarter success started the partnership between both companies as Massive worked with Omnibus to provide digital fulfillment to all project backers.

Zorro: Man of the Dead #3 continues to mix modern comics with classic serials

El Rojo and the Cartel have had enough of Diego and his delusions. There will never be a return of Zorro, and they will punish anyone who disagrees. But even Rosa is having a hard time dismissing Zorro as anything more than a myth, as her brother relentlessly inspires hope across all of Le Vega. Things are getting dangerous FAST as Zorro, Rosa, Tomás, Bandito and Tornado dash to stop the decimation El Rojo is planning for all who dare stand against him. Are whips and swords enough? I can’t help but believe in El Zorro!
