Murder Drones goes Home in May with a Special issue

Oni Press and independent animation studio Glitch Productions are proud to reveal the Murder Drones: Home Special #1, a double-sized, 40-page one-shot special that adapts the stylish and shocking origin episode from Murder Drones creator Liam Vickers’ worldwide animation phenomenon. Expanding out of the pages of the record-setting Murder Drones limited series, writer Wyatt Kennedy will be joined by Bram Stoker Award-winning artist Soo Lee for a haunting and harrowing, self-contained chapter with pivotal consequences for everything we know about the world of Copper 9!

Arriving in stores between issues #4 and #5 of the primary Murder Drones series, join series scribe Wyatt Kennedy and special guest artist Soo Lee as they bring to life the chilling visions of a time long before the fall of the surface world on Copper 9, locked away deep in the recesses of poor Serial Designation N’s seemingly innocent, childlike little brain (or CPU, or whatever drones have). Will the secrets of N’s old human family, the Elliots, give Uzi and her friends the knowledge to stop the Absolute Solver virus? Or will it unlock a monster long forgotten?

Oni Press and Glitch Productions have revealed a first look inside the upcoming release of Murder Drones #1 of (6), the hugely anticipated first issue of the brand-new, six-part adaptation of the global smash-hit animated series created by Liam Vickers and produced by Glitch Productions! The series is from writer Wyatt Kennedy and artist Jo Mi-Gyeong! Murder Drones’ official comic spin-off adapts all eight episodes of the cult-favorite animated series. The first issue arrives on shelves February 25, 2026.

 After racking up more than 330 million views on YouTube and subsequently making its streaming debut on Prime Video, Murder Drones is coming to then comic book world with a six-part adaptation of the global smash-hit animated series created by Liam Vickers. Writer Wyatt Kennedy and artist Jo Mi-Gyeong’s are collaborating on comics’ next, can’t-miss series, which debuts in February. In advance of the series’ first issue, Oni Press and Glitch Productions have revealed the covers for Murder Drones #2 by Alessio Zonno, Jo Mi-Gyeong, and Patricia Martín. Fans can collect them all when Murder Drones #2 drops on March 25th, 2026.

Following the mass annihilation of the human race as we know it, Copper-9, one of the many solar colonies, stands in ruins, but beneath the surface a race of surviving worker drones has built a life for themselves with purpose, schools, doors, and card games! Teenage drone Uzi has made an unlikely ally in Disassembly Drone N, whose primary purpose, until very recently, was to eat the worker drones! But it’s not just prom dates and hormones. A mysterious force continues to stalk the drone population from within, leaving a oil-drenched trail of bodies in its wake.

The apocalypse will be automated in Murder Drones #2. Uzi and Disassembly Drone N’s disastrous dalliance will kick off in style on March 25th, 2026.

SDCC 2025: Oni Press and Glitch Productions launch a Partnership for Murder Drones Comics and Graphic Novels

In advance of Comic-Con International 2025 in San Diego, CA, Oni Press and Glitch Productions have announced a new partnership to create comics and graphic novels based on the world of Murder Drones – Glitch’s wildly beloved adult animated series that has accrued more than 300 million views worldwide and inspired a legion of die-hard fans, eye-catching merchandise, and spin-off content in its wake. 

The new collaboration will begin with an all-new graphic novel adapting Murder Drones‘ haunting and hilarious 8-episode first season chronicling robot workers struggling to avoid obsoletion on a post-apocalyptic space colony – originally created by Liam Vickers and adapted by acclaimed writer Wyatt Kennedy and exhilarating artist Jo Mi-Gyeong. The first Murder Drones graphic novel from Oni Press will debut for pre-order alongside with an array of deluxe, collectible, and exclusive items via a new Oni Premium Direct campaign on Kickstarter launching September 8th, 2025 and then be followed by standard, serialized comic book release to comic shops worldwide in February 2026.
