DC Comics Dice Masters: Golden Age Superman Monthly OP

Join Superman in the fight against some of his first super villains including his monstrous double, Bizzaro, and the tormenting trickster, Mr. Mxyzptlk, in DC Comics Dice Masters: Golden Age Superman.

Wizkids has announced a new Dice Masters organized play with three new cards featuring classic art from Superman comics.

The organized play kit has stores putting together events in order to get players to regularly come in and those who participate receive prizes for participation and depending on what place they come in.

This kit features three cards, Bizarro: Golden Age Superman, Mxyzptlk: Golden Age Superman, and Thrown Car: Basic Action Card. The first two are prize support with the last being participation prizes.

Bizarro looks to be a new card that halves something…

Mr. Mxyzptlk looks to have you drawing cards until you get a Villain die with the rest going into your bag…

Thrown Car is a bit of a spin on Enraged which was found in the AvX set and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set.

The Flash, Reverse Flash, and John Diggle Come to the Batman Miniature Game

Knight Models has unveiled its latest releases for their Marvel Universe Miniature Game and Batman Miniature Game. The Marvel Universe Miniature Game gets some much-needed “bad guys” with two releases, plus a figure that was teased in images last month.

After the release of “The Flash and Arrow” expansion for the Batman Miniature Game, the expansion sees some characters from the world of The CW’s The Flash and Arrow. The Flash and Reverse Flash get two new versions based on the television show. Also, John Diggle aka Spartan gets a release.

There’s also a new scenery release with Air Ducts and new markers with Effects Markers.

Iron Man Hulkbuster, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, & Sabretooth come to Marvel Universe Miniature Game

Knight Models has unveiled its latest releases for their Marvel Universe Miniature Game and Batman Miniature Game. The Marvel Universe Miniature Game gets some much-needed “bad guys” with two releases, plus a figure that was teased in images last month.

The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants make their debut along with Sabretooth. The Brotherhood consists of Magneto, Pyro, Toad, and Lady Mastermind. Also debuting is Iron Man Hulkbuster MK44 which is just in time to take on last month’s Hulk release.

Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man Pre-Release Cancelled

Wizkids has announced that they are cancelling their Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man pre-release event. The company was notified that the recent train derailment near Panhandle, TX on June 28 contained some of their product onboard.

Two individuals died in the accident and a third is presumed dead. Our thoughts go out to their friends and families who lost loved ones.

The product on the train included the Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man set intended for Wizkids’ upcoming Pre-Release events. Because of this, they are unable to fulfill orders for this event and must cancel until further notice.

While a sizable amount of the product release will be in an unknown state for an unforeseeable time, their current plan is to proceed with the launch of the product as scheduled as they have sufficient quantities for all stores who have preordered to date and the majority of the product is unaffected.

This set may be hard to get in the foreseable future though.

D&D Dice Masters: Strahd Rainbow Draft Weekend this Fall and a Look at Strahd

Wizkids has announced that they’ll be hosting a Rainbow Draft Weekend geared towards their Dice Masters game and Dungeons & Dragons. D&D Dice Masters: Strahd Rainbow Draft Weekend will take place in the fall. The game company has also posted up a look at Strahd himself.

The organized play card has a max of 4 dive and “Experience,” “Energy Drain” and if you have the star at level 3, “While Strahd is active, once per turn, when an opposing Adventurer takes damage Strahd immediately gains an Experience token.” He regularly doesn’t count as an Adventurer.

A First Look at the Green Arrow and the Flash Dice Masters Box

Out in August, Green Arrow and Flash is the next DC Dice Masters set to be released from Wizkids. At Origins, which is currently going on, folks got a first look at the box (though the card says it’s not the final box art).

While the two characters headlining this set both have their own DC television shows leaving many to speculate what we could expect, the box clearly has art from DC Comics. This is in contrast to Cryptozoic’s DC Deckbuilding Game whose Arrow expansion featured images from the television show.

Should be interesting to see what cards will be included as far as characters.

Knight Models Reveals the Hulk, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, and the Joker with Robots

Knight Models today revealed the next set of releases for their Batman Miniature Game and Marvel Universe Miniature Game.

For the Batman Miniature Game, the company has already revealed Carrie Kelley and the Sons of Batman and a new Oliver Queen. Today we also finally get to see Joker & Robotic Dolls from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.

The Marvel Universe Miniature Game also gets three new releases. Jean Grey, Emma Frost, and the Hulk!

Knight Models Shows off the Oliver Queen DKR Mini for the Batman Miniature Game

We reported last week that the next way of releases for the Batman Miniature Game had been teased early through the Knight Models website. While we have gotten a look at Carrie Kelley and the Sons of Batman, the other models have been elusive.

Today, Knight Models has released a first look at the Dark Knight Returns version of Oliver Queen. The model looks like it came straight from the comic series as can been seen in the comic panels below and the animated movie still.

It’s unknown when the miniature will go on sale, but it’s likely later this month.

DC Comics Dice Masters: Batman in February 2017

Batman will be the focus for the first DC Comics Dice Masters set by Wizkids in February 2017. The new set will also feature a limited edition promo card.

DC Comics Dice Masters: Batman will only be released as a gravity feed. Gravity Feeds consist of random packs which feature two cards and two dice. Gravity Feeds feature 90 packs and retail for 99 cents a pack.

The set will feature more than “30 iconic heroes and villains from Batman’s storied career fighting crime in Gotham City.” This includes new characters who have yet to be featured in a DC Comics Dice Masters release.

This release’s incentive will feature a limited edition sketch-art variant promo for those who purchase an entire gravity feed.
