Moon Knight wins an Emmy for Sound Editing

This past weekend, the 2022 Emmy Awards for creative arts were awarded. We’ve already brought news that Chadwick Boseman won a posthumous Emmy for his voice performance on Marvel Studios‘ What If…?.

It wasn’t the only Marvel Studios work to be recognized.

Moon Knight won for “Outstanding Sound Editing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie” beating out American Horror Story: Double Feature, Gaslit, Midnight Mass, and Station Eleven.

Watchmen Makes History Winning the Emmy for Limited Series

The winners for the 72nd Emmy Awards were announced today. The ceremony became a virtual event this year due to COVID-19 doing an impressive job of balancing the jokes, the seriousness, and rotating through so many video feeds.

The 72nd Emmy Awards were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel who also served as executive producer.

Watchmen is one of the most nominated shows of the year with 26 nominations which also saw recognition for The Mandalorian as well. Watchmen made history as the first comic adaptation to win the top prize of best “Limited Series.”

Jessica Jones Gets an Emmy Win

This weekend saw part of the Emmy Awards handed out. This part focused on the Creative Arts. Marvel’s Jessica Jones walked away with a statue, winning for “Best Original Main Title Theme Music.”

The Walking Dead Wins Emmy For Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup

This weekend, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences held the 2012 Creative Arts Emmys, and The Walking Dead was honored with the award for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for the Season 2 Premiere What Lies Ahead.

The award — the second Emmy for The Walking Dead — was presented to Special FX Makeup Designer and Co-Executive Producer Greg Nicotero and his KNB EFX team, who together bested stiff competition from FX’s American Horror Story, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, HBO’s Game of Thrones and ABC’s Once Upon A Time.

While it might have been shut out of categories like acting or best drama, AMC‘s The Walking Dead received 3 Emmy nominations which were announced today.
