Bring on the Trickster. Bring on the Monster. Bring on the Accuser. Bring on the Villains! Soon you’ll be able to play as some of Marvel’s most formidable foes: Loki from The Avengers, Green Goblin from Spider-Man and Ronan from The Guardians of the Galaxy play sets in Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition). Characters are playable in their respective play sets and the Toy Box 2.0.

It shouldn’t be a surprise, but the Guardians of the Galaxy will be coming to the next version of Disney Infinity 2.0, the video game/toy hybrid. The game’s launch has been heavy on the Marvel with numerous figures popping up in the lead up and push before its release.

Nova, Venom, Iron Fist, Nick Fury, and Spider-Man join Disney Infinity 2.0

53973498c9172I’ve never played Disney Infinity, but seeing more and more of the Marvel figures for Disney Infinity 2.0, I might have to dive in and check it all out. Coming out of E3, more figures have been revealed for the video game.

Spider-Man and Nova will be sold together in the Ultimate Spider-Man Play Set Pack, and the other figures will be available separately.

The Avengers Play Set is available in the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) Starter Pack, which also includes Toy Box 2.0 and three Marvel figurines – Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow. Captain America, Hulk and Hawkeye sold separately.

Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes Out this Fall

As announced a little bit ago, the next version of Disney‘s popular game Infinity. The 2.0 version, dubbed Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes, will launch this fall and feature a Marvel themed set that includes Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow. Other figures that will be released in the toy meets video game are the Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye and Hulk. Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada and writer Brian Michael Bendis introduced the product and revealed the figures which look fantastic. There was a mention to expect even more figures coming our way.

The game will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, iOS, PC, and Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

The presentation ended with Nick Fury beginning to tell us some of the other figures we can expect, but was cut off before a teaser said we can expect more at the video game convention E3.

Marvel Comes to Disney Infinity

Get ready, the possibilities are…infinite. Marvel‘s characters are coming to the popular video game Disney Infinity. We know version 2.0 is coming of the video game, and while we don’t know exactly who, we do know some of Marvel’s characters will be included. The game has sold more than 3 million starter packs in its first six months. Can we expect Star Wars to be too far behind?
