Absolute Green Arrow #1 Back to Print Before its Release

Absolute Green Arrow #1 arrives Wednesday, May 20, but you may need to head to the shop early to guarantee a first printing. The demand for the first issue of the new series is high and DC has announced that it is going back to press for a second printing of the debut issue. Absolute Green Arrow #1 Second Printing will arrive in comic shops on June 17. 

The second printing of Absolute Green Arrow #1 will feature main cover by Rafael Albuquerque and Marcelo Maiolo with a recolored logo, along with open-to-order variant covers by Ivan Tao, and Tula Lotay (foil).

In Absolute Green Arrow, a serial killer is slaughtering corrupt billionaires, and the only clue to his identity is the green arrows protruding from the victims’ bodies. Executive protection specialist Dinah Lance, also known as Absolute Black Canary, is assigned to uncover the murderer’s identity as she investigates a list of suspects drawn from the ranks of DC’s most dangerous archers. Each one is uniquely connected to a recently murdered Oliver Queen. A deadly mystery unfolds in this urban horror reimagining of the Emerald Archer’s mythos, brought to life by Eisner Award–winners Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque.

Spinning out of the shocking events of Absolute Evil, this new comic book series brings slasher-horror storytelling to the Absolute Universe, exploring Oliver Queen’s past and the clues left behind in the wake of his murder.

Retailers can place orders for Absolute Green Arrow #1 Second Printing beginning May 15. Absolute Green Arrow #1 Second Printing arrives in comic shops on June 17 along with Absolute Green Arrow #2.

ComicsPro 2026: DC Absolute Universe Expands with Green Arrow and Catwoman, Plus a Tease of the First Absolute Event Mini-Series

ComicsPRO 2026 is taking place and during the first day, DC announced two new series set in the Absolute Universe: Absolute Green Arrow by Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque, launching May 20, and Absolute Catwoman by Che Grayson, Scott Snyder, and Bengal, launching June 10. Both titles continue the imprint’s mission to reimagine iconic DC characters in bold, continuity-free stories from top creators.

Absolute Green Arrow #1 features covers by Albuquerque and Gerald Parel, Guillem March, Reiko Murakami, and Tula Lotay.

Absolute Catwoman #1 features covers by Bengal, Kaare Andrews, Manhanini, and Nakayama.

DC also teased that the first Absolute Universe event miniseries will arrive in Q4 2026, with additional details to be revealed later this year.
