Superman, Lobo, and the Superman family take a stand against Brainiac and the Brainiac Queen in the finale to “House of Brainiac.” That leads into the anticipated summer event, Absolute Power.
It’s all hands on deck in Action Comics #1066! Brainiac has created his masterpiece, and all bets are off as Superman and his teammates bear witness to a cosmic horror unlike anything they’ve ever seen! And after learning the true history of Brainiac, Lobo will have to choose what side he is on before all hell breaks loose!
On sale June 18, part five of “House of Brainiac” is written by Joshua Williamson, with art by Rafa Sandoval, who also provides art for the issue’s main cover. Action Comics #1066 also features variant cover art by Jorge Jiménez, Paolo Rivera, and Mark Spears, plus a Pride Month variant spotlighting Steel (Natasha Irons) by Betsy Cola.
On June 25 the story reaches its climax in Superman #15, also written by Williamson with art by Sandoval. Superman is allied with Lex Luthor, and together they’ve figured out how to stop Brainiac and his queen, but it will take a great sacrifice. The Man of Steel and one of his greatest enemies will have to do the unthinkable to save their family and friends. This all leads directly into DC’s blockbuster summer event, Absolute Power.
Superman #15 features a main cover by Rafa Sandoval, plus variant covers by Stjepan Šejić, Joshua “Sway” Swaby, Danny Earls, and Miguel Mercado, plus a Pride Month variant featuring Jon Kent by Angel Solorzano.
Brainiac’s bid for total control continues to impact other DC Super Heroes. In June 11’s Green Lantern #12, Guy Gardner’s bogus Lobo adventure gets even crazier, courtesy of series writer Jeremy Adams, with art by Xermánico and Kevin Maguire. Xermánico also provides the main cover, with variants by Evan “Doc” Shaner, Gleb Melnikov, and Keron Grant. On June 25, writer Leah Williams and artists Eduardo Pansica and Júlio Ferreira team up Power Girl and Crush with the Holliday Girls in a last-ditch effort to take down Goblin and his goons, take back their neighborhood, and shut down the Czarnian threat on Earth once and for all. Power Girl #10 features main cover art by Yanick Paquette, with variant covers by Nicola Scott and Daxiong.
The Walking Dead returns in full color with extras! The Walking Dead Deluxe takes us back to the beginning with each issue now featuring full color. There are also extras of what might have been with notes as part of “The Cutting Room Floor.”

Jeffrey Brown returns tot he world of Batman, Robin, and Howard with Batman and Robin and Howard: Summer Breakdown.
Former rivals turned friends Damian Wayne and Howard face an evil mastermind who is ready to demolish their favorite soccer field.
Summer is in session, and that means all the neighborhood patrols, soccer games, and snacks Damian and Howard can handle. But things take an unexpected turn when a new group of heroes, known as the Hero Club, approaches the boys with an unusual offer—an invitation to help unmask the corporation planning to build a recycling factory in their favorite park. Together, they hope to recruit the help of Metropolis’s favorite reporter, Lois Lane.
As if that weren’t enough, Batman has been acting strangely and disappearing for stretches of time. And there are ninjas everywhere…What could possibly be going on?

Ultimate Black Panther #2 (Marvel) – Bryan Edward Hill, Stefano Caselli, and David Curiel is a perfectly fine Black Panther book that is accessible to new readers who have only seen the films. Hill makes T’challa a morally ambiguous figure who commits human rights violations trying to figure out which of his subjects helped betray his father to Ra and Khonshu and also has a spiritual side while using the finest tech on the land. Speaking of the tech, Caselli does a solid job with the fight sequences and armor/weapon designs with Curiel adding a little extra crackle to the energy. Everything is easy to follow, readable, and there’s a fun, albeit predictable surprise at the end. Ultimate Black Panther really has the misfortune of being in the same publishing line as the more interesting Ultimate Spider-Man and more visually compelling Ultimate X-Men and unfortunately doesn’t feel essential to read like those titles. BOOM! Studios has revealed a first look at Pine and Merrimac #4 from Eisner-award nominated writer Kyle Starks, fan-favorite artist and co-creator Fran Galán, and letterer Pat Brosseau. A new detective tale continues in comic stores on April 24, 2024.
Linnea and Parker decide to see if the cult is really what it seems to be–and see things that can never be unseen as a result. While they make a desperate attempt to find help, it may be no good, as it’s clear this all runs deeper than they possibly could have guessed!

Transformers #6 wraps up the first arc with an action packed emotional rollercoaster.
