Act 4 Publishing and Skybound Share a First Look at Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition
Skybound, Image Comics, Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing, and Keven Gardner’s 12-Gauge Comics have shared a first look at the definitive new edition of the cult-favorite ‘90s indie comics classic Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, arriving in comic book shops in October 2026.
Continuing their collaboration, Skybound and Act 4 present a stunning oversized showcase of the work of Jason Pearson, offering fans the opportunity to experience his original art at full scale. This Artist’s Edtion measures 12” x 17” and collects over 240 pages from Pearson’s critically acclaimed comic Body Bags, including the entire groundbreaking miniseries, along with short stories, covers, promotional pieces, and more. Also included are scans of Michael Golden’s covers from the original Body Bags miniseries.
Originally created, written, and illustrated entirely by Pearson, Body Bags follows the brutal exploits of Mack “Clownface” Delgado and his daughter Panda in an adrenaline-packed world of bounty hunters and assassins. The series quickly became one of the most talked-about comics of its era, earning Pearson a reputation as a singular creative force. Over his career, Pearson also contributed to iconic characters including Deadpool, The Punisher, X-Men, and Batman.
An Artist’s Edition is an art book disguised as a comic collection. Although appearing to be in black and white, all the art is scanned in color, enabling the reader to see the work as close to the original as possible – ink gradients, blue pencil, and all the unique nuances that make original art so special – are all clearly visible and printed at the same size as drawn. The only better way to experience these pages would be if you were looking over the artist’s shoulder while he was toiling at his drawing board.
Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition (SRP $150.00) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 20, 2026, and at booksellers on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
