Wouldn’t childhood have been cooler if your class could take field trips to other dimensions, to learn about infinite possibilities or strange phenomena?

NO. Because some kid would inevitably BREAK the machine and leave you trapped in an eternity of tripping between dimensions, each getting horribly and irrevocably transformed by the bizarre terrors along the way! (Assuming you’re among the survivors.)
