Review: Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens #1

27553

The ultimate science-fiction crossover pits the legendary lawman Judge Dredd against the universe’s supreme hunters, the Predators, as they both try to survive an onslaught by the galaxy’s ultimate killing machines, the Aliens!

Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens #1 is weirdly awesome. The comic is a fantastic combination of properties taking two of the most dangerous aliens and one of comic’s most violent law-bringers, and mixing them into one world. Despite what seems like a crazy premise the comic manages to have a decent story, courtesy of John Layman, as a mad scientist’s goons find a Predator ship. Fans of the Predator and Alien properties will have fun with the trophy room that’s on board.

Diverse environments that manage to build up the story due to art from Chris Mooneyham. The art helps create a sense of continuity as the story changes viewpoints, from Predator to Dredd.
