New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Comic Fun Packs Coming in April

Due to their incredible popularity, IDW has announced that it will expand its Micro Comic Fun Packs with a set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectibles! This new set of fun packs will be available on April 1st from a variety of big-box retailers and comic shops. The set will offer four separate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles New Animated Adventures issues, with each 5.75” x 3” pack featuring a stand-alone comic-book adventure with an all-new cover (by Jon Sommariva) as well as one of eight stickers, foldout posters, and collectible, punch-out sewer caps.

IDW has been a publisher who has been willing to innovate and try new marketing opportunities and techniques to expand the comic market. Previously, similar packs have been released for My Little Pony. IDW also including the first issue of Transformers: Dark Cybertron in with Transformers figures and have had QR codes on Transformers as well taking individuals to digital comic apps.

Each Micro Comic Fun Pack comes with a complete 22-page story that’s been re–formatted to perfectly suit this reduced size. The content of the comic has been expanded to include a two-page sewer playset splash page in the middle of each comic, perfect for arranging and displaying the included removable TMNT sticker. In addition, aspiring artists will love the three-page “How-to-Draw” tutorial in each issue. Each pack also contains one of eight possible foldout posters and collectible sewer caps (This is pretty redundant since it was mentioned above). The sewer cap is a cardboard punch-out featuring a popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character hidden underneath a manhole cover.

Available on April 1st at Toys R Us, Target, and your friendly local comic shop, the TMNT Micro Fun Pack is small in size, but huge in fun!
