The final episodes of the hit DC/WBTV series lay the foundation for the city’s iconic future as Warner Bros. Home Entertainment gets set to release Gotham: The Complete Fifth and Final Season on Blu-ray and DVD for $29.98 / $24.98 SRP. Out on June 11, 2019, the new release includes DC Super-Villain-filled extras that explore the characters and world of the Dark Knight that fans have come to know and love.

Gotham: The Complete Series, which includes all five seasons of Gotham will also be available for fans to own June 11, 2019 on Blu-ray and DVD for $112.99 / 99.99 SRP.

Gotham: The Complete Fifth and Final Season

The fifth and final season of Gotham wraps up the iconic series in an unforgettable event that focuses on Bruce Wayne’s ultimate transformation into the Caped Crusader, while Jim Gordon struggles to hold together a city on the edge of chaos. Following the epic events of season four, the Legend of the Dark Knight resumes as Gotham City is divided between Gordon’s GCPD jurisdiction and some of the city’s most notorious villains such as Penguin, The Riddler and more. As the city’s heroes try to gain control and salvage what’s left of the deteriorating city, it teeters between good and evil, even as new DC Super-Villains, including Bane are introduced.

Gotham: The Complete Fifth and Final Season features an all-star cast lead by Ben McKenzie (The O.C., Southland), Donal Logue (Grounded for Life, Vikings), David Mazouz (Touch), Sean Pertwee (Elementary), Robin Lord Taylor (The Walking Dead), Erin Richards (The Quiet Ones), Camren Bicondova (Gotham Stories), Cory Michael Smith (Carol) and Chris Chalk (12 Years a Slave). Shane West (A Walk to Remember) is also introduced as the iconic DC Super-Villain, Bane for the final season. Developed by Bruno Heller, the series is executive produced by Heller, Danny Cannon and John Stephens. Based on the DC characters, Gotham is produced by Warner Bros. Television.

With Blu-ray’s unsurpassed picture and sound, Gotham: The Complete Fifth and Final Season Blu-ray release will include 1080p Full HD Video with DTS-HD Master Audio for English 5.1. The 2-disc Blu-ray will feature a high-definition Blu-ray and Digital Copy of all 12 episodes from season five.

Warner Bros. Television Heads to WonderCon with The Big Bang Theory, DC Super Hero Girls, and The 100

Celebrating finals, firsts and rebirths, Warner Bros. Television (WBTV) will test the physics of funny one last time at WonderCon 2019 with The Big Bang Theory’s final appearance, unveil The 100’s sixth season premiere (on a brand-new planet) and deliver Warner Bros. Animation’s (WBA) newest superhero fix — DC Super Hero Girls. All three series will be out in force during the fan fest in Anaheim, including special video presentations and Q&A sessions on Saturday, March 30, celebrating The Big Bang Theory (Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS) with the hit comedy’s writers, as well as the new animated series DC Super Hero Girls (premiering Friday, March 8, at 6/5c on Cartoon Network, before moving to regular time period of Sundays at 4:00 p.m. ET/PT). Sunday, March 31, brings the exclusive season six world premiere screening of The 100 (premiering Tuesday, April 30, at 9/8c on The CW).

Stars and producers scheduled to attend WonderCon 2019 include:

  • The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook and more, along with executive producer Jason Rothenberg.

12:00–1:00 p.m. DC Super Hero Girls Video Presentation and Q&A — Fresh off their brand-new series on Cartoon Network, the DC Super Hero Girls are landing at WonderCon. The world may know them as Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Batgirl, but not-so-typical teenagers Diana, Kara and Barbara — alongside their Super Hero friends — have much more to deal with than just protecting the citizens of Metropolis from some of the most sinister school-aged Super-Villains of the DC Universe. After all, being a teen is tough enough, with school, friends, family and the chaos that comes with managing a social life. But add super powers and a secret identity into the mix, and things can get a lot more complicated. Get a Better Look at the Live Action Titans

DC Entertainment has released character posters for the upcoming Titans television series. The debut date of the exclusive original series Titans was announced as October 12, 2018, with episodes released weekly on DC Universe. The first season of Titans will consist of 12 episodes. Warner Bros. Television will host a world premiere screening of Titans on October 3, 2018, in conjunction with New York Comic Con.

Swamp Thing is Coming to DC’s Digital Service as a Live Action One-Hour Series

When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.

Based on the DC characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, Swamp Thing is coming to the new DC digital service as a one-hour live-action drama.

Warner Bros. Television is teaming up with Atomic Monsters and the one-hour drama is going to script-to-series.

It is being executive produced by James Wan (Atomic Monster), Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear (Atomic Monster), co-produced by Rob Hackett (Atomic Monster), and written by Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman.

The series is aiming for a 2019 launch.

The Flash, Supergirl, Legends Of Tomorrow and Arrow Co-Creator/Executive Producer Suspended Over Allegations

Andrew Kreisberg has been suspended from his duties over allegations of sexual harassment. Kreisberg is a co-creator/executive producer of the The CW/Warner Bros. DC Comics based series The Flash, Supergirl, Legends Of Tomorrow and Arrow. Warner Bros. Television has launched an internal investigation.

In a statement, Warner Bros. TV Group said:

We have recently been made aware of allegations of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg. We have suspended Mr. Kreisberg and are conducting an internal investigation.  We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.

Kreisberg has been a top staffer for Greg Berlanti who oversees The CW DC universe and is primarily the showrunner on The Flash.

Berlanti Productions principals Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter released a statement:

We were recently made aware of some deeply troubling allegations regarding one of our showrunners. We have been encouraging and fully cooperating with the investigation into this by Warner Bros.

There is nothing more important to us than the safety and well-being of our cast, crew, writers, producers and any staff. We do not tolerate harassment and are committed to doing everything we can to make an environment that’s safe to work in and safe to speak up about if it isn’t.

The investigation revolves on some accusations including what’s described as an “inappropriate” interaction with a female writer and “hostile work environment.” The situation has also been called a “toxic” environment. Another complaint cited “inappropriate behavior” by Kreisberg.

DC Launching New Digital Service with Titans TV Show and Young Justice: Outsiders

Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment have announced a new digital service which will air exclusively the new Titans live action show and Young Justice: Outsiders, the third season of the Young Justice television show. Both shows will debut in 2018.

Executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are teaming up for the all-new live-action drama series Titans which is in the early stages of production.

Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans will be written by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti. Goldsman, Johns, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are executive producers of the series from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

In Young Justice: Outsiders, the teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets. In the highly anticipated new season, the team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy. Passionate fan support set the stage for the new third season.

Sam Register is executive producer of Young Justice. Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman are producers of the series, produced by Warner Bros. Animation. Emmy Award winner Phil Bourassa serves as the series’ art director.

Archie Inks an Exclusive Production Deal with Warner Bros. Television. Plus Mark Waid Takes on More Archie.

jughead-15-cover-by-derek-charmArchie Comics was filled with news this morning. Archie Comic Publications and Warner Bros. Television have signed an exclusive deal to develop new original programming and content based on Archie’s vast catalog of characters and properties.

This deal comes after years of work by Archie to bring the characters into the present day with such series as Death of Archie, Afterlife with Archie, and the recently relaunched Archie. Recently the comic company launched into television with Riverdale based on the classic characters that airs on The CW.

Also announced today, writer Mark Waid who has been writing the relaunched Archie will be brought further into the fold and will work on an expanded number of titles as well as serve as a writing mentor for young and upcoming talent.

Waid’s first step in this new role will begin in May as he takes over the ongoing Jughead series alongside new co-writer Ian Flynn. Additional titles and co-writers will be revealed later this year.

Superman is Coming to The CW’s Supergirl

Superman Rebirth Variant Cover by Andy ParkAfter a lot of instant messaging and some shadow hiding cameos in the first season, Supergirl’s cousin Superman will be paying a visit in the second season of The CW‘s Supergirl.

Warner Bros. Television and The CW have announced that they are currently casting for the role of Clark Kent/Superman and the character will appear in the second season when he visits National City at the beginning of the season. This is the first time the two characters have shared the screen since 2010 on Smallville in 2010.

Superman will appear on the first two episodes of the season.
