Batman: Arkham VR Launches

Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment has announced the release of Batman: Arkham VR, the very first virtual reality experience that allows fans to become Batman, as well as explore Gotham City and Wayne Manor like never before. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham trilogy, Batman: Arkham VR is based on DC’s core Batman license and is available exclusively on PlayStation VR for the suggested retail price of $19.99/€19.99/£15.99.

In June, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Batman: Arkham VR to excitement from fans all over the world and soon went on to win the first ever E3 Game Critics Award for Best VR Game.

Batman: Arkham VR allows players to plunge into the Dark Knight’s universe and experience Gotham City through the eyes of the World’s Greatest Detective.  Delving deep into an all-new Batman: Arkham mystery, those who enter this virtual reality world must think like Batman and utilize his legendary gadgets to unravel a plot that threatens the lives of his closest allies.

Batman: Arkham Knight is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB.

The LEGO Batman Movie and Knight Rider Speed Into LEGO Dimensions

Interactive Entertainment has revealed details around three highly collectable expansion packs for LEGO Dimensions that will be available on February 10, 2017. The LEGO Batman Movie Story Pack, Excalibur Batman Fun Pack and Knight Rider Fun Pack will broaden the selection of the world’s most popular entertainment brands allowing players to customize their experience by mixing and matching favorite characters and universes with full compatibility.

Coinciding with the release of the upcoming film on which it’s based, The LEGO Batman Movie Story Pack, will provide a deep, story-driven gameplay experience with iconic DC characters in six puzzle-packed levels and new LEGO Gateway bricks that allow players to build the Bat-Computer atop the LEGO Toy Pad.  The pack comes with buildable Batgirl and Robin minifigures and the 3-in-1 buildable Batwing which can be rebuilt into The Black Thunder and Bat-Tank.  Gamers can play the complete movie and band together with Batgirl and Robin to fight off the Joker and his team of villains. Batgirl’s batarang, glide and stealth abilities can reach areas with high security access and Robin’s agility and dive skills provide sneak access. Players can also transform Robin into the Nightwing, utilize his vine cut, and deflect moves for more crime-fighting adventures. Batgirl and Robin provide access to the new The LEGO Batman Movie Adventure World with its own unique Battle Arena with competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players.

The Fun Pack comes with a buildable Batman minifigure and a 3-in-1 buildable Bionic Steed which can be rebuilt into the Bat-Raptor and Ultrabat for additional in-game abilities. Players can use Batman’s Master Builder and Sword Switching abilities to solve puzzles and take down enemies. Batman also provides access to The LEGO Batman Movie Adventure World and Battle Arena. The Excalibur Batman Fun Pack will release in North America first at Target.

Michael Knight and K.I.T.T. from the classic 80s TV series, Knight Rider, are also coming to LEGO Dimensions. Players can add the iconic duo with the Knight Rider Fun Pack featuring a buildable Michael Knight minifigure, and a rebuildable 3-in-1 K.I.T.T., that can be rebuilt into the K.I.T.T. Jet and Goliath Armored Semi for upgraded in-game powers.

expansionpack_na_knightrider_funpack_71286In the game, players can activate Michael Knight’s dodging and dash abilities to solve puzzles and overpower enemies or use his Wrist Watch to uncover secrets behind x-ray walls and outsmart enemies by hacking into terminals and following trails. Players can also fight crime on four wheels with K.I.T.T., the highly advanced, artificially intelligent robotic vehicle, to boost their gameplay. Michael Knight provides access to a new Knight Rider Adventure World with its own unique Battle Arena. The Knight Rider Fun Pack will release in North America first at GameStop.

Players can continue to broaden and customize their experience with new expansion packs releasing this year.  The Ghostbusters Story Pack, Adventure Time and Mission: Impossible Level Packs, Harry Potter and Adventure Time Team Packs, and The A-Team Fun Pack will be available on September 27 and the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack, Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack, Gremlins Team Pack, and E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Adventure Time Fun Packs will be available on November 18.

LEGO Dimensions is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the Wii U system.

Batman: Return to Arkham Comes Out October 18, 2016

Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced that Batman: Return to Arkham will be available beginning October 18, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The bundle includes remastered versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, as well as all of the Game of the Year edition bonus and downloadable content ever released.

The newly revealed Official Batman: Return to Arkham Side-by-Side trailer showcases the game’s improved graphics, upgraded models, environments, lighting, effects and shaders. Batman: Return to Arkham is being remastered by Virtuos using Unreal Engine 4, and will be available for a suggested retail price of $49.99/€49.9/£39.99.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is where it all began. Originally developed by Rocksteady Studios and released in 2009, the game pushed the envelope for action, adventure and super hero games and exposed players to a unique, dark and atmospheric adventure taking them to the depths of Arkham Asylum.  Featuring an original story, gamers can move in the shadows, instill fear amongst their enemies and confront The Joker and Gotham City’s most notorious villains, including Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and Scarecrow, who have taken over the asylum.

Batman: Arkham City is Rocksteady Studios’ 2011 follow-up to Batman: Arkham Asylum.  The game builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring through the expansive Arkham City – the maximum security “home” for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds.  Featuring an incredible Rogues Gallery of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals including Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze and many others, the game allows players to experience what it feels like to be The Dark Knight and deliver justice to those confined within Arkham City.

Batman: Return to Arkham is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB.

Injustice 2 Harley Quinn and Deadshot Trailer

Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios introduced two prominent Super-Villain members from the Suicide Squad who are set to square off in Injustice 2: Harley Quinn and Deadshot! Harley Quinn returns to the Injustice universe with her signature attitude and some new tricks up her sleeve, while expert marksman Deadshot arrives for his console debut in the series.

In development by the award-winning NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017.

Batman: Arkham VR Gets a New Trailer

In June, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Batman: Arkham VR to excitement from fans all over the world. If you haven’t witnessed first-hand what it’s like to become Batman, then the newest trailer for Batman: Arkham VR will give you a glimpse of what players are calling the closest you’ll ever get to stepping into the role of the World’s Greatest Detective.

In this first Dark Knight virtual reality experience, you’ll descend into the Batcave, don the cowl and immerse yourself in Gotham City and Wayne Manor like never before.

Batman: Arkham VR is the winner of the first ever E3 Game Critics Award for Best VR Game. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, creators of the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham trilogy, Batman: Arkham VR is based on DC’s core Batman license and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system with PlayStation VR in October 2016 for MSRP of $19.99.

LEGO Dimensions’ Upcoming Expansion Packs

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s hit game, LEGO Dimensions, made a huge splash at San Diego Comic-Con. Below is a quick recap of news revealed at the show:

The new expansion packs will be led by the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack and the Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack, the new packs broaden the selection of the world’s most popular entertainment brands allowing players to customize their experience by mixing and matching favorite characters and universes with full compatibility.  LEGO minifigures included in all of the wave 6-9 expansion packs will come with special, golden Toy Tags which unlock a Battle Arena within the Adventure World of the corresponding entertainment brand. All-new Battle Arenas will offer first-to-LEGO videogames competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players. Each Battle Arena has four gameplay modes and comes with its own traps, special powers and interactive environments that make every battle arena unique.

The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack will provide a complete movie-based gameplay experience with six action-packed levels and new LEGO Gateway bricks to build the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) atop the LEGO Toy Pad.  Players can build the Newt Scamander LEGO minifigure and help him find his escaped magical creatures in New York City and use a variety of spells, including Diffindo, Reparo and Lumos.  The pack will also come with a 3-in-1 Niffler which can be rebuilt into the Sinister Scorpion and Vicious Vulture. The Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack will be the exclusive construction toy offering this holiday for the exciting expansion of J.K Rowling’s Wizarding World.

Fans can also add the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Fun Pack with a Tina Goldstein LEGO minifigure. She can cast Aguamenti to help solve puzzles and Protego to keep her safe from enemies. Players in need of rescue can build the 3-in-1 Swooping Evil which can be rebuilt into the Brutal Bloom and Crawling Creeper.

The Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack includes a complete level of Sonic The Hedgehog gameplay where players can race as the Blue Blur at lightning speeds through some of his most iconic locations including Green Hill, Emerald Coast, Labyrinth and many more. Players can build the Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO minifigure and use his Acrobat ability to swing off poles and avoid the Badniks, then use his famous grind rails move to make a quick escape. The pack also includes a 3-in-1 Sonic Speedster which can be rebuilt into Blue Typhoon and Motobug, and a 3-in-1 The Tornado which can be rebuilt into Crabmeat and Eggcatcher.

Players wanting to bring Gremlins to life in LEGO Dimensions can add the Gremlins Team Pack which includes popular rivals Gizmo and Stripe LEGO minifigures. Gizmo’s Combat Roll and Dash Attack abilities can be used to get him out of sticky situations and Stripe uses his claws with his Vine Cut ability. Players can rebuild the 3-in-1 R.C. Racer vehicle into the Gadget-o-matic and Scarlet Scorpion and the 3-in-1 Flash ‘n’ Finish into a Rampage Record Player and Stripe’s Throne

The E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial Fun Pack includes an E.T. LEGO minifigure with Illumination and Fix-It abilities, as well as special Stealth and Telekinesis skills to make his way around the LEGO multiverse. Players can build E.T.’s iconic Phone Home device, then rebuild it into the Mobile Uplink and Super-Charged Satellite for additional in-game abilities.

Fans of “Land of Ooo” can add a Fun Pack based on Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time with a Marceline the Vampire Queen LEGO minifigure. Players can activate her Sonar Smash and Bolt Deflector abilities using the Marceline Axe Guitar to solve puzzles and battle enemies. They can also build and use Marceline’s Lunatic Amp to make some noise, and then rebuild it into the Shadow Scorpion and Heavy Metal Monster for extra in-game powers. The pack will release in North America first at Toys “R” Us.

Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, LEGO Dimensions is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the Wii U system.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Mobile Launches Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Content

Injustice Gods Among Us Mobile_BvS Update_Key Art_FinalTo celebrate the upcoming release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has launched an update to the wildly popular mobile game Injustice: Gods Among Us, adding new content inspired by the highly anticipated Warner Bros. Pictures film. Beginning today, players can unlock new gear and characters from the movie, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, in Challenge Mode or via Early Access and Booster Packs.

March 3 – April 13, fans can play to unlock the Superman and Wonder Woman characters from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a series of Challenge Modes. Fans who want to get their hands on these characters immediately can purchase Early Access Packs starting today, which also include character gear and Power Credits.

Also available is the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Gold Booster Pack, which gives players the chance to receive the Batman character in the game. Additionally, players can buy the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Gear Locker containing character accessories inspired by the film, including Batman’s Cowl, Clark Kent’s Glasses and Wonder Woman’s Golden Lariat.

The latest update to Injustice: Gods Among Us also adds NetherRealm Studios’ versions of iconic DC Comics Super-Villains Black Adam and Sinestro. Fans will soon have a chance to unlock both characters in upcoming Challenge Modes and Early Access Packs. The update is available today for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, with an Android update coming soon.

The Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile game is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

Batman: Arkham Knight Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #6 Out for PC

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment announced that the Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #6 for Batman: Arkham Knight is available for fans who have purchased the game for PC and are connected to the Internet. Beginning Jan. 26, the content will also be available for fans who have purchased Batman: Arkham Knight for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One. In addition, as part of the January update for Batman: Arkham Knight, the Batman Incorporated skin will now be available to all players.

This expansive challenge pack allows players to gain focused training in Freeflow Combat and Invisible Predator stealth incursion throughout their favorite locations from Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight when playing online.
