DC Collectibles: Bring Home ‘Justice League’ Animated Action Figures on Batman Day

Straight from the screen to your shelves, DC Collectibles is gearing up to release an all-new 6-inch action figure line based on the acclaimed Justice League animated series that aired from 2001-2004. The new figures will be available exclusively for DC Universe members and can be purchased starting Batman Day, September 15, timed to the launch of the DC Universe subscription service.

The new line is an expansion of DC Collectibles’ bestselling animated action figure collection which also includes figures based on popular DC animated shows Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures and Superman: The Animated Series.

On September 15, DC Universe members can watch the entire Justice League animated series and then head over to the “Shop” tab on the DC Universe app to purchase Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman and more of their favorite characters from the show in 3D form. Here is the official release schedule:

Batman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl will be available to purchase at launch and ship in September
Aquaman and Wonder Woman will be available to pre-order at launch, to ship in October
The Flash and Superman will be available to pre-order at launch, to ship in November

All figures are priced at $28.00 each. For a limited time only, members who purchase all eight characters will receive the whole set in November at a discounted price of $194.00. This promotion will end on November 30, 2018.

Cryptozoic and Warner Bros. Consumer Products Release of DC Pumps

Cryptozoic Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Productshave released DC Pumps. The vinyl figures of miniature high-heeled shoes are inspired by the costumes, props, and personalities of DC’s favorite female Super Heroes and Super-Villains, including Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Batgirl, Hawkgirl, Poison Ivy, Mera, Black Canary, and Supergirl. Each shoe is approximately 2.25 inches tall, finished with high quality paint, and packaged inside a blind-reveal, high-fashion-style shoebox. There are nine distinct vinyl figures in the DC Pumps collection, plus two rare variants and one ultra rare variant.

The Wonder Woman shoe, for example, features a transparent heal influenced directly by the character’s Invisible Plane and a strap designed after her iconic Lasso of Truth. The Catwoman shoe, likewise, takes its inspiration from its namesake, incorporating the character’s goggles, cat imagery, and a pearl necklace into the design.

DC Pumps are available at retailers nationwide now for a suggested retail price of $9.99 each.

Dorbz: DC Wave 2 in October

Funko is excited to announce that the DC Super Heroes are back with an all new wave of adorable DC Dorbz!

This series features classic versions of some of your favorite and most iconic DC Super Heroes.

Joining the lineup is the underwater Super Hero Aquaman, the soaring Hawkman and, Krypton’s Superman, and Supergirl!

SDCC 2016: DC Comics Lil’ Bombshell Vinyl Figures Pre-Release

Cryptozoic Entertainment and DC Entertainment will be releasing the first series of the DC Comics Lil’ Bombshells Vinyl Figures this August.

This will be the first series of mini collectible figures based on the popular DC Bombshells franchise, inspired by 1940s pinup art. The Series 1 set includes Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Batwoman, Black Canary, The Flash, Hawkgirl, Katana, Mera, and Poison Ivy! Each collectible is hand-painted and embellishes its retro style with a cute cartoonish twist.

You can pre-order a display now or pre-order a random 4-pack.

This latest set of collectibles from Cryptozoic Entertainment comes just in time for San Diego Comic-Con 2016. Limited quantities will be available for pre-release purchase at the convention through Cryptozoic Entertainment’s booth #115. The entire first series will be available in August at comic book stores, book stores, Walmart, Calendar Club, as well as online retailers and other various Cryptozoic distributor.

Knight Models have released January’s new models for their Batman the Miniature Game. The figures are an interesting mix adding some more non-Batman specific DC Comics characters, expanding one faction, and expanding the Batman: The Animated Series line of figures.

Brand new figures include an Animated Series version of Harley Quinn, a new set for the Court of Owls, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, Catman, and some other items for the game.

The Arrow/Flash Spin-off Gets Two New Heroes

There’s lots of buzz over the spin-off to The Flash/Arrow that’ll see new heroes be focused on. Already announced, the series will feature Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory, Victor Garber, and Caity Lotz.

Added to that is Ciara Renee, a Broadway actress, who will be playing Hawkgirl, one of three new comic characters on the show.

The character for the new spin-off show is described as a young woman that starts to learn she has been reincarnated over centuries and when she is provoked, the ancient warrior persona within her manifests itself, which includes wings growing out of her back.

Also joining the show is Doctor Who alumnus Arthur Darvill, who played Rory Williams in the series. Darvill will be playing Rip Hunter.

The character is described as:

The former Doctor’s Companion will play DC comic book character Rip Hunter, a roguish time traveler who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a facade of charm and wit.

Infinite Crisis Champion Profile: fight crime as Hawkgirl!

Get an early look at Hawkgirl, the winged defender and latest champion from Infinite Crisis – the free-to-play MOBA from Turbine based in the DC Universe! On Wednesday, January 21, players can soar into battle when Hawkgirl goes live in the game!

While growing up, Kendra Saunders’ father was murdered by a corrupt police officer. She became a police officer herself in an attempt to help people from inside the system but soon felt that she was being held back by the rules and regulations of the job.

While on yet another disciplinary suspension for breaking the rules, she encountered Hawkman. The hero told her that she was a reincarnated Egyptian princess and that the two had been both heroes and lovers in their previous lives. She thought him insane and asked to be left alone. Surprised that she did not remember him, he agreed to leave, but insisted she accept a mace and flight harness, artifacts of her past life. She took the items just to be rid of him.

However, as time passed, she came to the realization that a hero could do things a police officer never could. They could work beyond the rules and do more to help people. She decided to put the equipment Hawkman had left to good use and became the heroine known as “Hawkgirl.”
