Fine Print Vol. 3 TP

(W) Stjepan Šejić (A) Stjepan Šejić

In Volume 3 of FINE PRINT (aka “Why sex with gods is NOT a good idea”), we dive in deep and discover that not all winged things are angels, not all horned ones bring damnation, and surprise-surprise, no amount of unbridled bliss can actually solve your problems.

Like any painkiller, bliss only takes you so far.

This is a lesson that unlucky-in-love Lauren Thomas is going to have to learn the hard way, despite the aid of some of the underworld’s foremost incubi. Even in Lauren’s unique position – having divine entities at your romantic beck and call — wrestling with the past is no one’s idea of a good time. Not that things are any easier for the immortals in Lauren’s orbit; whether you execute contracts or shoot heart-shaped arrows, interpersonal dynamics always end up complicating things.

An openly Lesbian couple survives and thrives in 19th century Vermont–a true story, as told by Tillie Walden

The month is February in the year 1807. The place is Weybridge, Vermont: small, cold, lonely, and beautiful. Sylvia Drake is exhausted. As an unwed woman with few prospects, she is residing with and caring for her sister’s rambunctious family. Today the house is abuzz awaiting a guest―Charity Bryant. A friend of the family, she is most known for her elegant letters, with their swoopy and evocative penmanship and carefully chosen prose. But Charity’s visit is a guise, she is coming to Vermont to start over after heartbreak and rumours―so many rumours―that have grown too loud back in Massachusetts.

Being openly gay in 19th century New England is not an easy row to hoe. But Charity can only be herself, and she immediately catches―and holds―the eye of none other than Sylvia Drake. From this point on, for 44 years, the two would be inseparable, building a life together despite all odds and living as a lesbian couple in small town Vermont.

The true, exceptional story of these remarkable women is brought to life with humor and passion by the unparalleled and award-winning Tillie Walden (Spinning, On A Sunbeam). We see America grow alongside these women over a period that brings about the railroad, many novels, 14 Presidents, riots, rebellion, plagues, and poetry. Based on extensive archives of their writing, Charity and Sylvia is a groundbreaking biography that is also the story of 19th century America.

Charity and Sylvia is out in stores June 16.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns: DC Compact Comics Edition is a solid new edition to a classic

Regarded as one of the greatest Batman stories of all time, master storyteller Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns is the perfect graphic novel for longtime comic book fans and new readers alike!

Writer/artist Frank Miller completely reinvents the legend of Batman in this saga of a near-future Gotham City gone to rot, 10 years after the Dark Knight’s retirement. Forced to take action, the Dark Knight returns in a blaze of fury, taking on a whole new generation of criminals and matching their levels of violence. He is soon joined by a new Robin—a girl named Carrie Kelley, who proves to be just as invaluable as her predecessors.

Can Batman and Robin deal with the threats posed by their deadliest enemies after years of incarceration have turned them into perfect psychopaths? And more importantly, can anyone survive the coming fallout from an undeclared war between the superpowers—or the clash of who were once the world’s greatest heroes?

Rancid …And Out Comes the Wolf gets a Companion Graphic Novel

And Out Comes the Wolf

Big Newport Studios and Z2 have announced a companion graphic novel to the Rancid-inspired, …And Out Comes the Wolf. Artist and writer Kevin Mellon will adapt the graphic novel from the feature script by Danny Peykoff and Jamie and Jason Neese, bringing new layers to the powerful story about fighting for survival in the East Bay punk scene during the 90s. The book series will come in several variant covers including the brand-new Z2 exclusive cover by Dan Mumford.

Also announced are the Deluxe editions of …And Out Comes the Wolf; presented in a 12” x 12” album-sized format with slipcover art and an official flash sheet tattoo by legend Beatleguese; an “Anarchy” ski-cap inspired by the film’s main character Brixton and four (4) art prints featuring work by Travis Knight, Dan Mumford, and Felipe Sobreiro.

It was also announced today that the writers and producers of the …And Out Comes the Wolf film will be in attendance at the Z2 Booth at the 2026 San Diego Comic Con International, which takes place July 23-27th, 2026 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Both the film and graphic novel are rooted in a gritty story of dreams colliding with the limitations of reality in a world of violence and desperation. Surrounded by poverty, drugs, and danger, two best friends hunt for an escape in a city blighted with decay. But the paths are littered with predators and temptations which threaten them at every turn and the unspoken question haunts them: Who manages to get away and who will be devoured when the wolf comes out?

The 100 page graphic novel will be released in a slipcased Deluxe Edition, with four art prints, an “Brixton Anarchy” ski-cap and an exclusive Wolf set of temporary tattoo flash. All editions will be available exclusively at Z2’s website to pre-order, while a standard-sized cover edition will be available via AmazonBarnes & NobleTarget, Walmart, as well as other independent retailers and fine comic shops worldwide in the fall.

This band plays together, lives together…and unfortunately two of them are sleeping together. Whatever, I’m sure it’s fine. Now put on your punk’n mask and let’s rock!

Hannah Lipsky isn’t sure what’s happening. She dreamed of becoming a fine art painter, but after breaking up with her girlfriend, she’s suddenly dropped out of art school, moved into a flophouse, and gotten roped into singing in a campy horror-punk band. With costumes. To make things even more complicated, she might be hooking up with her housemate/bandmate/high school crush, Jerry. Wherever this is leading, it’s going to be messy.
