Independent game developer Hammerfall Publishing has announced that Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is now available on Steam Early Access.
Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is a brutal take on one of the greatest turn based strategy games of all time. Regicide fuses multiple phases of combat with dynamic action. Maneuver your army into place and unleash a devastating array of tactical abilities to crush your enemies.

Due for release every few weeks after the launch of Early Access, these upcoming content drops will inject plenty of exciting new additions into Warhammer 40,000: Regicide’s gameplay.
These include the full single-player campaign, new Chapters, Clans and a host of incentives, rewards and unlockables for participating in the Regicide online forums and community!
The Angels of Blood – Free to Early Access purchasers, the Regicide – Angels of Blood campaign will be revealed in multiple acts throughout the Early Access. The campaign opens with Guardsman Karthus and his fellow troopers garrisoned the Phaedrus Orbital Station above Hethgar Prime.
New Chapters and Clans – Regicide has 11 planned Chapters and Clans to fill out the Space Marine and Ork ranks by the end of the Early Access phase.
Phase 1 features the Space Marine Blood Angels and Ork Goffs, plus White Scars and Bad Moons as exclusive community rewards for those who have supported the game!

The new releases for Games Workshop‘s Warhammer 40K look impressive this week with the Onager Dunecrawler for the new Adeptus Mechanicus army and two new terrain pieces. The Plasma Obliterator adds a whole new weaponized fortress to your games and the Promethium Relay Pipes provide some handy cover and obstacles.
If you see the Plasma Obliterator on the shelves, you might want to grab it as the kit has been allocated and sold out.
Forgeworld released a new teaser video for their next book in their Horus Heresy series. The Horus Heresy: Book Five Tempest will be released this Spring 2015.
From previously released information, the book will feature Ultramarines, Word Bearers, Mechanicum, Imperial Militia, Warp Cults, Knights, and Titans. It also focuses on the Word Bearers assault on Calth as well as background on the chapter, the background on the Ultramarine Legion, more information on Knights and Titans, a campaign, lists for Imperial Militia and Cult armies, as well as new rules including new Legion units.
It will be followed by book six which is the Shadow Crusade which will be out some time in 2015.
Today, developer Rodeo Games announced the upcoming release of Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion, the company’s latest mobile game for iOS, built on Unreal Engine 4 technology.
Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion is set in the globally recognized Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 universe. Players command a squad of Space Marines through 40 scripted campaign missions against their enemies, the Tyranids. The game will also feature online multiplayer battles, the ability to customize a squad with 40 unique Marines, hundreds of skills and abilities and collectible Wargear items to equip players’ teams.
The turn-based strategy game is the studio’s first title developed on Unreal Engine 4, and incorporates a deep RPG element allowing for in-depth customization of players’ Space Marines Squad.
Games Workshop released the above trailer teasing something new from Forgeworld in Winter 2014, The Horus Heresy Conquest.
The Horus Heresy Conquest is book four in their series covering the titanic war and covers the Battles of the Cyclops Cluster, Siege of Mezoa, Conquest of Manachea, and Defense of Agathon.
As far as armies covered, the book includes Sons of Horus, Death Guard, Iron Hands, Salamders, Imperial Fists, Mechanicum, Dark Mechanicum, Solar Auxilia, Knights, and Titan Legions.
Running August 29 to September 1, the NOVA Open is all about gaming tournaments. Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy Battle, Magic: The Gathering, Infinity, Hordes and War Machine were all represented as well as “how to” seminars.
This was my first time attending the convention and it’s definitely not what I was expecting. I’ll be following up with my impressions of the convention in a further post.
