Cryptozoic, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and DC Announce CZX Crisis on Infinite Earths

Cryptozoic Entertainment, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and DC have announced the January 19 release of CZX Crisis on Infinite Earths

Cryptozoic’s CZX® super premium trading card release features thick, glossy cards with gold Deco Foil and memorable images from DC and Warner Bros. TV’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” television crossover event, spanning episodes of ArrowThe FlashSupergirlDC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Autograph Card signers are led by stars Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, and Melissa Benoist, who each signed multiple versions of their cards. Moreover, CZX Crisis on Infinite Earths includes a 50-card Base Set, CZX STR PWR Chase Set, and randomly inserted one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn Sketch Cards.

McFarlane Toys and DC Direct = ?

McFarlane Toys’ huge success story with their DC Multiverse action figures is getting bigger and better as they announce they are further expanding their relationship with DC and Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP). McFarlane Toys have entered into a global licensing agreement with WBCP to unleash a new line of McFarlane Toys designed statues, busts, and figures based on DC’s expansive roster of iconic characters. Fans and collectors can look forward to an array of McFarlane Toys created DC Direct collectibles under legendary artist Todd McFarlane’s creative direction coming in 2022.

McFarlane will also manage current DC Direct inventory.

Under McFarlane Toys, DC Direct will continue to produce high-quality collectibles, including fan-favorite lines DC Designer Series, Batman Black & White, and Harley Quinn Red, White & Black. 

In 2020, McFarlane Toys launched its successful DC Multiverse line with ultra-posable action figures and vehicles to bring dozens of iconic DC characters based on the comic books, video games, and feature films to life at mass specialty retailers globally.   McFarlane Toys’ DC Multiverse line is one of the top-selling action figure lines in the US.

Toybox and Warner Bros. Consumer Products to Develop a 3D Printing Toy Range

Toybox

Toybox, the 3D printer for kids of all ages has partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to provide their customers the ability to print Warner Bros’ iconic and fan-favorite IP characters. Toy Box fans will now be able to print items based on; DC, Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes, Hanna-Barbera, Friends, Seinfeld, and classic movies such as Polar Express and Elf.

Customers will be able to buy a range of toys starting with DC’s Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman by purchasing Toybox Bolts, an online currency unique to the Toybox platform. This is a first of its kind licensing agreement with a major studio that allows customers to print their toys at home…no two-day shipping or trip to the store needed.

Toys available to print at launch will be Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman action figures with nine points of articulation, Batarangs, Batman’s Batcave computer, Batmobile, Batman disc launcher, Bat-Signal, Justice League disc launchers, Daily Planet building; with additional items to follow.

McFarlane Toys’ DC Multiverse Revealed

McFarlane Toys, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and DC, have revealed images and details of the highly anticipated new DC Multiverse collector figure line by McFarlane Toys, available in both mass and specialty retailers beginning January 2020.

The new DC Multiverse collector line features incredibly detailed 7-inch figures designed with an impressive 22 points of articulation. Each figure comes with a collectible card that has character-specific art and biography, multiple accessories, and a display base. MSRP is $19.99 to $24.99 USD for each figure.

DC Collectibles Reveals New Statues by Doug Mahnke and Todd McFarlane

In celebration of the 80th anniversary, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Collectibles have revealed the 100th Batman Black and White statue in the popular ongoing DC Collectibles line. The 100th statue is by creator Todd McFarlane.

The milestone #100 statue is based off McFarlane’s own cover of Batman issue #423. As with the previous 99 in the series, McFarlane’s design, reinforces the core value of DC Collectibles to represent the printed page in 3D form and pays homage to Batman’s rich legacy.

On top of McFarlane’s statue, DC Collectibles has also revealed statue #99 by Doug Mahnke.

SDCC 2019: Wonder Woman Movie Collectible Debuts from Cryptozoic

Cryptozoic Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have announced the upcoming release of the Wonder Woman Movie Collectible at San Diego Comic-Con, July 18-21, followed by a full retail release after the convention. Fans can come to Cryptozoic’s Booth #115 at the San Diego Convention Center for the first opportunity to buy the 8-inch vinyl figure.

Based on the recent portrayal of the iconic DC Super Hero in 2017’s Wonder Woman and other films, the collectible features the character’s heroic armor, sword, and lasso. The Wonder Woman logo acts as the figure’s base.

Designed by Pedro Astudillo and sculpted by Anders Ehrenborg, it comes packaged inside a display-worthy window box.

Moreover, Barnes & Noble and Cryptozoic are partnering to release Wonder Woman Movie Collectible Noir Edition, a limited variant of the figure. The Summer Convention Exclusive will release simultaneously at Cryptozoic’s booth at San Diego Comic-Con and Barnes & Noble stores across the nation. Part of Cryptozoic’s popular Noir Edition variant series, it sports a stylish gray color scheme, inspired by the timeless look of film noir. It will be available for $29.99.

The core version of Wonder Woman Movie Collectible will be available at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Toy Fair 2019: McFarlane Toys Lands the DC License for DC Multiverse Collector Figures Starting in 2020

McFarlane Toys is expanding its licensing agreement with Warner Bros. properties. Yesterday the company announced that it would be creating figures based on Harry Potter. Today, the company has announced they have entered into a three-year global licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC, to release DC Multiverse collector figures in both mass and specialty retail spaces. Beginning early 2020, McFarlane Toys will bring dozens of the iconic DC comic books, video games and feature films’ near-endless stable of characters to life with 6” – 12” ultra-posable action figures, corresponding accessories and vehicles branded DC Multiverse.

This is the second major shift for DC figures in recent months. It was revealed recently that Mattel has lost the license for some of DC toys to Spin Master Corp.

SDCC 2018: Cryptozoic and Warner Bros. Consumer Products Announce Release of Harley Quinn Puddin’ Pop Statue

Cryptozoic Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, has announced the release of the Harley Quinn Puddin’ Pop Statue at San Diego Comic-Con, July 19-22, followed by a full retail release after the convention. The second in Cryptozoic’s series of hand statues depicts Harley Quinn’s gloved hand holding a lollipop with The Joker’s face on it.

The high-end statue measures about 6.25 inches tall, with the lollicop increasing the overall height to approximately 10 inches. The name of the collectible plays off Harley Quinn’s famous nickname for The Joker: “Puddin.’” Sculpted by Mana Studios, each statue is individually hand-numbered, includes a Certificate of Authenticity, and comes packaged inside a full-color closed box.

The Harley Quinn Puddin’ Pop Statue will be available at Cryptozoic’s Booth #115 at San Diego Comic-Con and subsequently at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $75.

Cryptozoic and Warner Bros. Consumer Products Announce Release of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Trading Cards Seasons 1 & 2

Cryptozoic Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television (WBTV) have announced the May 9th release of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Trading Cards Seasons 1 & 2.

The first trading cards for the hit TV series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (airing on The CW) feature a 72-card Base Set, three Chase Sets, and randomly inserted Autograph and Wardrobe Cards. There will also be foil variants and Printing Plates inserted in some packs.

Signers for the Autograph Cards include fan-favorite stars Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary), Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Franz Drameh (Jefferson Jackson “Jax”/Firestorm), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Amaya Jiwe/Vixen), Nick Zano (Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel), Matt Letscher (Eobard Thawne/The Reverse-Flash), and Neal McDonough (Damien Darhk).

The set’s Wardrobe Cards contain actual portions of costumes worn in the show. They include pieces of Rip Hunter’s trench coat and the suits belonging to The Atom, Firestorm, and The Reverse-Flash.

The three Chase Sets are “Character Bios,” providing descriptions of key characters; “Legendary Objects,” depicting key technological and historical objects that the characters use; and “Icons,” featuring the iconic symbols associated with several of the heroes and villains in the show.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Trading Cards Seasons 1 & 2 capture all the time-bending moments from the first two seasons of the show. In the first season, Rip Hunter and his motley team of heroes and villains travel all across time to prevent a dark future ruled by the immortal Vandal Savage. In the second season, the team reunites to preserve the timeline, which is threatened by the Legion of Doom—Eobard Thawne, Damien Darhk, and Malcolm Merlyn—in their quest to acquire the Spear of Destiny and rewrite reality.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Trading Cards Seasons 1 & 2 will be available at retailers nationwide on May 9.

DC Entertainments Gets a New Line of Novels Courtesy of Titan Books

Titan Books has announced a brand new collaboration project with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on behalf of DC Entertainment, to produce a high-end range of inspired novels and novelizations featuring some of DC’s most popular concepts and characters: Harley Quinn, The Joker, Batman, and The Court of Owls.

The releases kick off on September 25, 2018 with Batman: The Killing Joke by Christa Faust and Gary Phillips, the novelization of the famous Alan Moore and Brian Bolland graphic novel which explores the nature of Batman’s conflict with his most infamous nemesis: The Joker. Originally published in 1988 The Killing Joke continues to be one of the most talked about graphic novels released by an American-publisher, and now to mark the anniversary of its 30th year. The official novelization will explore ,expand, and adapt this classic story once again, bringing new insight for both fans of the original comic and those discovering this story for the first time.

Batman: The Killing Joke will be followed by Batman: The Court of Owls by Greg Cox on November 13th 2018. The original novel pits Gotham City’s greatest detective against a secret society of the wealthy elite that has controlled the city for centuries through influence, money and murder. Originally created by Scott Snyder, the Court of Owls are an intriguing and deadly organization who employ the force of assassins known as Talons. When a series of murders in the modern day pits them against the Dark Knight, he seeks to end their reign of terror before it claims even more victims.

Finally, Titan Books and DC will be publishing the first original novel to feature one of the franchise’s mosnotable fan favorites. Harley Quinn: Mad Love by Hugo award-winning author Pat Cadigan will release on February 12th 2019 and offers an expansion of the Harley Quinn storyline. The book is fully outlined by Paul Dini exclusively for the novel, who first created the character alongside Bruce Timm for 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series. It’s inspired by the 1994 Eisner Award-winning comic Mad Love by Dini and Timm, this brand new novel will reveal new secrets of the iconic Harley Quinn as she even now seeks to kill Batman.

The DC Novels will all publish in beautiful hardback editions featuring cover designs by Titan Books’ Natasha Mackenzie. The books are being created with a focus on being a perfect jumping on point for those looking to discover this world as well as long time fans.
