The concept of this series is a simple one: Inspired by the notorious EC horror comics of the fifties and the Warren horror mags of the seventies, Bomb Scares was originally a horror anthology released through Kickstarter as a series of black and white 100 page volumes, and edited by Paul H Birch.
With the third volume appearing back in October 2021 it then seemed the perfect opportunity to take Bomb Scares in a different direction. The result is Bomb Scares #1: a relaunched, reformatted, more streamlined anthology package that will include both color and black and white strips with content intended to scare, intrigue, bemuse and repulse – and throw in a dash of unexpected pitch-black humour too
The bloody great new horror anthology features Liam Sharp, Alex Nino, Trevor Von Eeden, Jimmy Broxton, Hunt Emerson, John Erasmus, David Windett, and more!

But arrayed against the invaders are Hawkeye, the fabled frontier scout, and his noble friends Chingachgook and Uncas, the only two survivors of the Mohican tribe. THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS is a tale of bravery and barbarism — of heroism amid the horrors of the final great war fought between the British and the French — and their Indian allies — for a land destined one day to seize its freedom in its own hands. James Fenimore Cooper’s famous novel has been adapted with all its legendary excitement intact by award-winning writer Roy Thomas, and artists Steven Kurth and Denis Medri.

Floating World Comics has announced that All Time Comics: Zerosis Deathscape #0 has sold out at Diamond Comic Distributors. But, the publisher has overprinted the issue and has a process to speed up restocking the issue.
Anticipating this would be the case, they are taking orders directly to speed up delivery for shops who would like to order or reorder the issue, circumventing the 4+ weeks the process would normally take.
They have also announced they would be doing the same for the first and second issue of the series.
All Time Comics: Zerosis Deathscape is written by Josh Bayer and Josh Simmons with art by Trevor Von Eeden, Benjamin Marra, and Ken Landgraf, and color by Daniel Lee.
All Time Comicsreturns for a second season with new publisher, Floating World Comics!
New series writer, Josh Simmons, scripts Zerosis Deathscape, an epic 5-part event co-written by ATC mastermind, Josh Bayer. Each monthly issue is drawn by Bronze Age maverick, Trevor Von Eeden.
Von Eeden’s unique and powerful style has developed a cult following among genre and underground cartoonists, who celebrate his run on Thriller and his early DC career drawing Batman, Green Arrow, and Black Lightning. He is joined on art duties by indie cartoonists Gabrielle Bell, Julia Gfrörer, Benjamin Marra, and Tom Toye, and colorist Daniel Lee.
The series is about space and time meeting anti-time and alternate-space combining Bronze Age adventure genre comics with other comic styles. The massive superhero crossover hearkens to other classic cosmic event comics and brings together all the characters established in season 1 of All Time Comics.
Zerosis Deathscape begins monthly in June and is preceded by a special prologue issue, All Time Comics #0 in April. Written and illustrated by Josh Simmons, with inks by Ken Landgraf, this zero issue is the perfect intro to the new wave of ATC. Features the first appearance of The Red Maniac, and we meet Time Scientist Vampire, who foretells the devastating power of Zerosis!
All six issues of All Time Comics Season 1 are finally collected in a massive 240 page trade paperback, coming this June from Floating World Comics.
Atlas – his only weakness is fear! Blind Justice – the man who walks through bullets! Bullwhip – here to put a stop to the bullsh*t! Crime Destroyer – will fight for justice or die trying!
These four heroes face an over-the-top lineup of villains including The Misogynist, Raingod, White Warlock, Krimson Kross, P.S.Y.C.H.O., and the Time Vampire.
All Time Comics features the work of current indie comics creators like Josh Bayer, Benjamin Marra, and Noah Van Sciver, alongside the work of established artists like Al Milgrom and the last art by legendary artist Herb Trimpe, co-creator of Wolverine.

News broke recently that Greg Berlanti was working on a Black Lightning television show. Today it’s reported that the show has been picked up by Fox. That seems to have prompted comic legend Gerry Conway to Tweet out some history about the character.
Debuting in 1977 at DC Comics, the character’s creators are credited as Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden. But Conway indicates that’s not the whole story and that Bob Kanigher deserves some credit as well. Kanigher is primarily known as the creator of Sgt. Rock.
Fun fact: I developed Black Lightning when I was an editor at DC. Original writer was Bob Kanigher. https://t.co/wtWURoRYJz
For what it’s worth (since I can’t seem to comment directly on Tony Isabella’s Facebook post, I’ll post my response to it here) I’m perfectly willing to admit my memory of events is faulty. I constantly am asked questions about things that I wrote forty to fifty years ago and I’m often embarrassed to admit I don’t remember. I wrote a lot of stuff, did a lot of stuff, offended a lot of people, and hopefully supported many others. One fact I am sure about, is that memory is fungible and affected by many factors. Honestly, my memory of the sequence of events is different from Tony’s, but given his firm adherence to his version, I accept it totally and offer my apologies. Rather than diminish Tony’s work (though that was the outcome) I simply wanted to acknowledge Bob Kanigher’s. In my memory there was more of a direct connection between Kanigher’s creation (which we backed away from as soon as he delivered those first scripts, and tried to fix but absolutely couldn’t) and the Black Lightning that came after. I feel protective of the older forgotten writers of the 60s, especially Kanigher, who was treated horribly by DC at the time (though no worse than Bill Finger, Gardner Fox, and Bob Haney) when the company replaced them with a new generation of writers like me. In my desire to gain justice for Bob I did a major injustice to Tony. Obviously I was wrong. Sorry, Tony.
