X-Men of Apocalypse #2

The Age of Apocalypse X-Men Confront the Original X-Men

This Wednesday—the Age of Apocalypse returns! Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the revolutionary ‘90s X-crossover, X-Men of Apocalypse will be six-part saga written by legendary writer Jeph Loeb, one of the creators behind the original event, and drawn by Eisner nominated artist Simone Di Meo. Mirroring the original, X-Men of Apocalypse begins in X-Men of Apocalypse Alpha #1, continues through X-Men of Apocalypse #1-4, and concludes in X-Men of Apocalypse Omega #1. X-Men of Apocalypse #2, hitting stands in December.

Taking place directly in the aftermath of Age of Apocalypse, X-Men of Apocalypse brings this iconic dystopia’s team of X-Men to the main Marvel Universe on a mission to ensure their reality’s survival! Their desperate quest puts them in conflict with their classic counterparts as well as fellow Age of Apocalypse escapee Nate Grey, A.K.A. X-Man, but their mission can only be accomplished by journeying to the team’s very foundation… It’s a trip to the Silver Age as these hard-edged and war-ravaged X-Men come face-to-face with the Strangest Teens of All—the Original X-Men!

See them square off in Di Meo’s main cover for X-Men of Apocalypse #2. Variant covers for the issue include pieces by acclaimed artists Arthur Adams, Russell Dauterman, Stephen Platt, and Joshua “Sway” Swaby. Plus, Joe Madureira, another creator behind the original event, continues his series of variant covers with a stunning depiction of his co-creation Blink, one of the Age of Apocalypse’s biggest breakout heroes! Celebrating the influential artist’s return to the franchise for the first time in decades, Madureira’s covers will also come available as alternate virgin versions.

Stephen Platt returns to Moon Knight with a Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #1 Variant Cover

In the early ‘90s, rising star artist Stephen Platt burst on the scene in Marc Spector: Moon Knight #55. The acclaimed artist turned this fan favorite book into one of the hottest comics on stands and his brief but impactful work on the title is fondly remembered by Moon Knight fans. This October, Platt is back just in time for Marc Spector’s grand return in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #1. Gracing the issue with a stunning variant cover, Platt’s new piece blends classic and modern as he depicts Moon Knight’s all-new costume in his unmistakable and iconic style!

Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu is the latest evolution of Jed MacKay and Alessandro Cappuccio’s run of Moon Knight. Like Platt, MacKay and Cappuccio’s bold reinvention of the character and the Moon Knight mythology have made it one of Marvel’s consistently best-selling titles. The new launch picks up after Marc Spector’s surprise return in Blood Hunt. He’s died and come back to life on more than one occasion. To the ignorant, his fate beyond death’s grasp may seem idyllic, but being chosen as a Fist of Khonshu comes with a heavy cost! And, like bones in a street fight, Marc Spector, and the multitudes he contains, may be about to break!
