Greg Horn, Bill McKay, Drew Moss, Tom Nguyen, Jerome Opeña, and Stephen Platt are coming to Baltimore Comic Con
This month, Baltimore Comic-Con returns to the Inner Harbor’s Baltimore Convention Center on September 25-27! The Baltimore Comic-Con has announced Greg Horn, Bill McKay, Drew Moss, Tom Nguyen, Jerome Opeña, and Stephen Platt as comics guests of the 2026 event. Greg Horn is a comic book cover artist best known for his work with Marvel and DC Comics. He arrived at Marvel in 2000, after showing his illustrations to then-editor-in-chief Joe Quesada and writer Brian Michael Bendis. His sensational new form of computer painting ushered in the digital art movement, which dominates the comic book industry to this day. After his acclaimed run of cover art on Elektra and Emma Frost, Greg was recognized for his artistic endeavors, winning Wizard’s Fan’s Choice Award for Best Cover Artist in 2003. In the years that followed, he forged ahead with Marvel’s She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel while spreading his art wings in a variety of commercial industries, working on more than 20 international advertising campaigns, including the official 2004 United States olympic basketball team poster with Allstate Insurance. During this time, he also provided cover illustrations for numerous video game magazines like Xbox, PCgamer, and Playstation Magazine. His volume of work was eventually collected into two art books titled The Art of Greg Horn and published by Image Comics. Beginning in 2014, Greg saw remarkable success with the emergence of exclusive store variant covers, providing images for many popular convention exclusives and retailer variants. Along the way, the artist revitalized the stagnant market of remarked comic books with an inventive way of sketching on the unforgiving surface of the covers. Most recently, Greg has started his own online store at www.greghornart.com where he offers his latest comic book variants, including his Celebrity Authentics exclusive signature collaborations with Hugh Jackman, Margot Robbie, Anne Hathaway, Halle Berry, Mel Gibson, Gal Gadot, Nicolas Cage, Milla Jovovich, and Aaron Taylor Johnson. He hosts regular bi-weekly auctions on Whatnot and eBay Live and does his best to get out to as many conventions as possible.
Bill McKay is a comic book writer and artist. He’s best known for his creator-owned book, Kim the Delusional. His credits include a 12-year cover run on Zombie Tramp, as well as cover work on Red Sonja, Vampirella, Lady Death, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Drew Moss is an Illustrator based out of southeastern Virginia. He has worked in comic book, toys, video games, and the film industry. Some of his works include The Crow, Vampirella, Red Sonja, Star Wars, Gargoyles, and he is currently illustrating Thundercats with writer/artist Declan Shalvey.
Tom Nguyen began his 28-year professional career freelancing for comic book publishers such as DC Comics and Marvel Comics from the age of 19 on major titles such as Batman, Green Lantern, JLA, Catwoman, and Superman: The Man of Steel, among others.
Along with writer/artist Keith Champagne, Tom is the co-creator of the successful Kickstarter hit comic book The Switch, and is currently working on the sequel.
In addition to comics, Tom has done artwork for notable television shows such as CBS’s Big Brother, TBS’s Wipeout, and Nickelodeon’s All That among others.
Jerome Opeña has been working in comics since 2005. He got his start with Metal Hurlant for Humanoids Publishing and has since worked on projects such as Fear Agent, Uncanny X-Force, The Avengers, and his creator-owned book, Seven to Eternity, with frequent collaborator Rick Remender.
Stephen Platt is a professional concept/comic artist living and working in Los Angeles. He has been working in the field of comics for over 30 years beginning with his smash debut Marc Spector Moon Knight 55.
His comic clients include Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Image Comics. Stephen has drawn various titles including Moon Knight, Cable, Wolverine, and the best selling Wolverine/Cable graphic novel.
Stephen continues to draw multiple covers for Marvel, DC, and Image to this day. He also worked on his own creator-owned title, the best-selling Soul Saga published through Image Comics.
He has collaborated with some of the industry’s most respected writers, including Alan Moore, Jeph Loeb, Chris Claremont, and Joe Casey.
Stephen continued to expand his artistic horizons when he began working in the film industry as a concept/storyboard artist in Hollywood.
In addition to having directed visual effects on various award-winning music videos, Stephen’s credits include Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Amazing Spider-Man, Oblivion, Morbius, Secret Invasion, and Godzilla, as well as Borderlands and Twisters.
