American Mythology Snags Roddenberry Entertainment’s Days Missing Volume 3

American Mythology has announced the acquisition of the third and final installment of the critically acclaimed comic book series Days Missing by Roddenberry Entertainment. The series had previously been published by Archaia.

Days Missing: Enox will be released in late 2016 as a full-color hardcover book. In anticipation of the new graphic novel, American Mythology will re-release the first two volumes of the series in both digital and physical form. Days Missing: Enox comes from science-fiction leader Roddenberry Entertainment, who broke in to the world of comics six years ago with the Days Missing series and has since also released the dynamic graphic novel WORTH.

Days Missing: Enox concludes this saga of The Steward, an ancient being whose ability to “fold” time has resulted in critical human events being extracted from our memories and absent from any historical record. Their existence is not remembered, but the events of these days have forever changed the course of human evolution. In this epic finale, the haunting voice of Enox materializes, giving form to the Steward’s nemesis and unquestionable purpose to his existence. Civilization is caught in the crossfire as these two immortals engage in a battle that will forever decide our fate.

Days Missing and Days Missing: Kestus will be re-released digitally and printed versions will be available in-store, with Vol. 1 scheduled for July and Vol. 2 for August. American Mythology is currently running a Kickstarter Campaign to bring Days Missing: Enox to market.

Roddenberry’s Days Missing: Enox Available for Pre-Order Now!

Arcana Comics has announced Roddenberry Entertainment’s FINAL book in the Days Missing trilogy. Days Missing: Enox is now available for pre-order through Diamond Previews. They’ve also released some preview pages of the upcoming comic book.

The book is written by Phil Hester with artwork from Ransom Getty and a cover by Dale Keown himself.

Since before the dawn of man, there has existed an ancient and mystical being known as the Steward, whose interaction with mankind has shaped our history.  His ability to fold time has erased his existence from our memories and extracted the days of which he has been a part from our historical records.  His stories have never been told; his actions never documented. But his influence cannot be denied.

He traveled the seas with Cortez.  He saved humanity from the real Frankenstein.  He averted disaster and made possible one of man’s greatest achievements – going to the moon.  Now, in Days Missing: Enox, the Steward faces his greatest challenge, an immortal enemy of his own making.  Civilization is caught in the crossfire as the Steward and Enox engage in a battle that will forever decide mankind’s fate.  A story so epic, it breaks its own mold, chronicling several consecutive days of our champion’s existence as he is forced to choose between himself and humanity.

SDCC 2012 – Arcana Teams With Roddenberry at SDCC

Arcana Comics has announced a new partnership with Roddenberry Entertainment, launching with new books in the Days Missing series as well as a new book, Worth. Days Missing was previously published by Archaia.

The imprint will debut at SDCC 2012 with an exclusive preview book, available at Arcana Comics booth #2415 AND Roddenberry booth #2543 Exclusively. It’s FREE and limited to 5000 copies, so don’t miss your chance to pick up a copy.

Created by Roddenberry executive, Trevor Roth, Days Missing is “your opportunity to experience each accounting of the various 24-hour periods that, from the beginning of time, have been erased from human memory, but hidden safely away in the annals of The Steward’s library. Ironically, each story proves integral to humanity’s progression and essential to the evolutionary changes of our species. Each accounting will allow you to understand more of our own history and often explain the extraordinary changes between one day and the next.”

Worth is the “heartfelt story of Grant Worth, Motor City’s most iconic hero. During the 1960’s, Worth’s ability to control machines made him a legendary figure in Detroit. But, when Worth’s powers become obsolete because of society’s own progress, he is forced to find out what happens when a superhero can no longer be super.”

Science Presents Trek Nation on 11/30/11

SCIENCE EXPLORES THE LEGACY OF THE STAR TREK PHENOMENON WITH THE DEFINITIVE

TWO-HOUR TELEVISION EVENT: TREK NATION

— George Lucas, J.J. Abrams and Seth MacFarlane join Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry Jr. on the journey of a lifetime featuring never-before-seen footage in TREK NATION premiering Wednesday, November 30, at 8PM ET/PT on SCIENCE–

(Silver Spring, Md.)—SCIENCE celebrates the 45th anniversary of one of the greatest television franchises of all time, Star Trek, with the world-premiere two-hour event, TREK NATION. This tribute follows Gene Roddenberry’s son, Rod, as he explores the deep impact of his father’s singular vision for the future.  Through interviews with fans, including George Lucas, J.J. Abrams, Seth MacFarlane, and many notable Star Trek alums, TREK NATION chronicles a son’s journey to discover his father’s work that helped defined science fiction. TREK NATION premieres on SCIENCE on Wednesday, November 30 at 8PM ET/PT.

TREK NATION draws on hours of exclusive footage, including never-before-seen home movies from the Roddenberry family collection and the first-ever Star Trek convention.  This film demonstrates that Roddenberry’s work has not only inspired legions of fans across the globe, but generated a cultural movement. Star Trek is a phenomenon that goes beyond entertainment; it has influenced politics, space travel, social morality and much more.  Star Trek was a catalyst which has fostered an enhanced understanding of the human condition, capturing man’s constant search for a better world.

“Gene Roddenberry is the original thought-provocateur; the rebel-genius who was not afraid to push the boundaries of what science can accomplish,” said Debbie Myers, general manager and executive vice president of SCIENCE.  “Star Trek used science fiction to hold a mirror to society, leveraging its storylines as a platform for social commentary touching on topics such as racism, sexism, the economy, war, peace and religion.  Working with Rod, and showing footage never shared on television is what makes TREK NATION truly inspiring.”

“I am so glad TREK NATION found its home at SCIENCE,” says Rod Roddenberry, Executive producer of Trek Nation and son of Star Trek creator, Gene Roddenberry.  “They understood that, as personal as the film was for me, TREK NATION is really a universal story of a son coming to understand his father.  The experience allowed me to learn more about the man behind this incredible science fiction phenomenon as well as the man I knew as ‘Dad.’  I think it’s something that Star Trek fans and those less familiar with the franchise will enjoy.”

Star Trek was a revolution that would define an era.  When it first premiered on NBC in 1966, it often was described as a western set in space.  However, the series provided a much deeper commentary that created a devoted and loyal fan base which continues to grow, even today.  With a then-virtually-unknown cast, each week Roddenberry told tales of humans and aliens who lived side by side and served the Starfleet, the peacekeeping armada of the universe.

TREK NATION is produced for SCIENCE by Roddenberry Entertainment and New Animal Productions.  For Roddenberry Entertainment, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth are executive producers.  Executive producer Nicole Rittenmeyer represents New Animal.  Bernadette McDaid is the executive producer and vice president of production for SCIENCE.  Lindsay Foster is associate producer for SCIENCE and Debbie Adler Myers is general manager and executive vice president of SCIENCE.
