Roche Limit Rings in a New Story Arc

The bestselling team of writer Michael Moreci and artist Kyle Charles will launch the final story arc in their ongoing dark sci-fi series Roche Limit this March.

Previously in Roche Limit, the Roche Limit colony, and consequently most of Earth itself, crumbled under the onslaught of the insidious Black Sun.

Following the fan-and-critic-favorite Clandestiny, Roche Limit: Monadic #1 kicks off the final chapter in the Roche Limit trilogy. Earth is in ruins after the Black Sun’s annihilation of the planet. Now, in the last remaining human city, its inhabitants fight for survival while a chosen few realize that their world may not be what it seems.

Roche Limit: Monadic #1 (Diamond code: JAN160550) hits stores Wednesday, March 16th. Final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, February 22nd.

Graphic Policy’s Top Comic Picks this Week!

RocheLimit01_CoverTomorrow is new comic day and as usual, there’s a lot you’ll find hitting your comic shop’s shelves. With so many comics coming out, what’s worth your hard-earned dollars? That’s where we come in. Here’s this week’s comics that are most likely to provide entertainment and that we’re looking forward to reading.

  • Top Pick: Roche Limit #1  (Image Comics) – Twenty years after this promise, billionaire Langford Skaargard’s dream of cosmic exploration is no more. Roche Limit, a colony situated on the cusp of a mysterious energy anomaly, is a melting pot of crime and terrible secrets. When Bekkah Hudson goes missing, the search to find her will plunge her sister and a cadre of the colony’s underworld figures into an odyssey that reveals a grim future for mankind. After that description, how can you not be excited?
  • Aliens: Fire and Stone #1 (Dark Horse) – Dark Horse kicked off their new Prometheus/Aliens/Predator last week with Prometheus: Fire and Stone. The issue helped follow up on Prometheus, but this week’s Aliens: Fire and Stone really begins to tie it all together. Dark Horse is doing some exciting things for fans of this universe. Looking forward to more.
  • Armor Hunters #4 ( Valiant) – Valiant has put together one hell of an event, which wraps up with this issue, and sets up one awesome comic universe to come.
  • Bob’s Burgers #2 (Dynamite) – If you’re a fan of the television series, like we are, you should be donning your bunny ears and rushing to your comic shop to pick up this issue.
  • Butterfly #1 (BOOM! Studios) – A new spy series from BOOM! looks fantastic. We’re fans of the genre, and the publisher has been putting out some amazing comics lately, for example….
  • Evil Empire #5 (BOOM! Studios) – Did you read the last issue!? Holy crap what an ending. We figured out who was behind the Evil Empire, but didn’t see all of the twist. The series is keeping us on our toes, as we see how a free country can descend into evil.
  • G.I. Joe Vol. 4 #1 (IDW Publishing) – Does the world need G.I. Joe? The latest volume picks up from the previous series with Scarlet in charge, G.I. Joe’s function being questioned, and Cobra is now a peacekeeping force? The series twists around the G.I. Joe lore, and continues the fantastic run from IDW.
  • Letter 44 #10 (Oni Press) – Sci-fi + politics = awesome.
  • Lumberjanes #6 (BOOM! Studios/KaBOOM!) – Easily one of the best, and freshest comics on the market. Easily one of the best new series of the year.
  • Storm #3 (Marvel) – Storm takes the spotlight and so far the series has been a solid one.
