Cherish Chen joins artists David Lafuente and Miquel Muerto for Radiant Red

Writer Cherish Chen joins artists David Lafuente and Miquel Muerto for the upcoming Radiant Red. This new, five-issue miniseries reunites the fan-favorite creative team behind Kyle Higgins and Marcelo Costa’s Radiant Black #6 issue and expands the Radiant Red character’s story. It is set to launch this March from Image Comics. 

To her students, Satomi Sone is a diligent middle school teacher. To her fiancé and parents, she’s the rock of their family. To the world, she’s Radiant Red, a criminal turned matter-absorbing superhero.

But with a mysterious stranger in her classroom, a nosy reporter on her doorstep, and $2.5 million hidden in the air vents of her house, she’s going to have to decide who she is, and quickly—before the world chooses for her.

Radiant Red #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, March 16.

Welcome to Manga Monday where we’re spotlighting some upcoming Manga releases and news.

Radiant is a supernatural action and adventure series created by French-born artist and writer Tony Valente. Out September 11th from VIZ Media the manga is also getting a Japanese-produced anime adaptation.

In Radiant, evil creatures called Nemeses fall from the skies and the only ones who can fight them are Wizards—infected ones who survived a Nemesis’s corruption. Seth, one of these survivors, vows not only to fight the Nemeses, but to find their mythical nest, Radiant, and destroy it!

French-born Artist Tony Valente’s Radiant Arrives this September

VIZ Media has announced the release of the new manga series Radiant on September 11th.

Radiant is a supernatural action and adventure series created by French-born artist and writer Tony Valente. A Japanese-produced anime adaptation of Valente’s manga will premiere this fall. Radiant is rated ‘T’ for Teens and will be published in print with an MSRP of $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN. The series also launches digitally on September 11th via viz.com and the VIZ Manga App, and will be available from the Nook, Kobo, Kindle, iBooks, comiXology, and Google Play stores. Volume 1 features 8 full-color pages. Future volumes of Radiant will be published by VIZ Media on a bimonthly basis.
