M.A.S.K. Streetwear Variant Covers by Fadime Yildirim Bring the Heat

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have revealed streetwear variant covers by artist Fadime Yildirim starting with M.A.S.K. #7 and continuing through M.A.S.K. #12. 

Following her gorgeous G.I. Joe streetwear variant series, Fadime Yildirim is back with expertly styled variant covers each featuring a member of the M.A.S.K. network with unique, customized keychains and will be available as 1:25 incentive variants across six can’t-miss issues that begin this December. 

M.A.S.K. #7 kicks off a new action-packed story arc for the hit Energon Universe series from writer Dan Watters, artist Pye Parr, colorist Pierluigi Casolino, and letterer Rus Wooton, landing in comic book shops on December 2, 2026. 

T-BOB…WHAT IS YOUR FUNCTION? M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M., no one may trust Matt Trakker ever again.  

Can he prove he’s fit to lead the M.A.S.K. network? 

In addition to the 1:25 incentive variant cover by Fadime Yildirim, M.A.S.K. #7 features a main cover by series artist Pye Parr, two open to order variants by Nick Bradshaw and Jim Charalampidis, and Derek Charm, a 1:50 incentive manga variant by Satoshi Shiki, a 1:100 foil incentive variant by Arist Deyn, a blank sketch cover, and a T-BOB die cut mask cover by Pye Parr, Luke Preese, and Andres Juarez. 

M.A.S.K. #7 (Lunar Codes Coming Soon | SRP: $3.99, unless otherwise noted) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, December 2, 2026.

Get a first look at Elita Prime’s Fight for Cybertron in Transformers #37

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have shared a first look at Transformers #37 from the creative team of writer Robert Kirkman, guest artist Karl Kerschl, colorist Mike Spicer, and letterer Rus Wooton. The new story arc begins with a standalone Elita Prime story in Transformers #37, available in comic book shops on October 14, 2026.

In addition to the main cover by artist Jason Howard, the lineup of variant covers for Transformers #37 includes an open-to-order cover B by Daniel Warren Johnson and Mike Spicer, an open-to-order cover C by David Nakayama, a 1:25 incentive variant by Nick Bradshaw and Jim Charalampidis, a 1:50 incentive variant by Ethan Young, a specialty finish cover by David Lafuente, and a blank sketch cover. 

Fans can preview Elita Prime’s next move in the war for Cybertron with this first look at the upcoming issue.

Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 Hits Skybound Gold Status and Will Return with 10 New Covers to Celebrate a Historic Tenth Printing

Skybound and Image Comics have announced a landmark tenth printing for Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1, the issue that brought new Invincible Universe stories back to comic shops for the first time in seven years, going on to smash sales records with no sign of stopping. This new printing is certified Skybound Gold to commemorate the rare achievement of a tenth printing and will feature all-new covers by top artists in the industry. 

From the unstoppable team of creator/writer Robert Kirkman, co-creator/artist Ryan Ottley, colorist Annalisa Leoni, and letterer Rus Wooton, Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 10th Printing will arrive on October 7, 2026. 

With 10 open-to-order covers to celebrate the historic tenth printing, Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 will head back to comic book shops with special gold foil editions of the issue’s original main cover by Ryan Ottley and Annalisa Leoni and a new cover by Ottley and Leoni, as well as new covers by Brett Bean, Jerome Opeña and Neeraj Menon, Cully Hamner, Nick Bradshaw and Jim Charalampidis, Tom Whalen, James Stokoe, Ben Stenbeck, and Carmine Di Giandomenico.

ROM returns! ROM Special #1 and M.A.S.K. Origins #1 go Open to Order

Skybound, Image Comics, and Hasbro have announced the much-demanded open to order release of ROM Special #1, reprinting the surprise first appearance of the pop culture icon in the Energon Universe, as well as M.A.S.K. Origins #1. Both issues initially released in the M.A.S.K. #1 Blind Bag program and will now be available at comic book shops on August 26, 2026. 

Void Rivals co-creators, writer Robert Kirkman and artist Lorenzo De Felici, reunited to introduce space knight ROM to the Energon Universe in this standalone special issue.  

ROM Special #1 features a main cover by Lorenzo De Felici and a variant cover program including open to order covers by Christian Ward, E.J. Su, Nick Bradshaw and Jim Charalampidis, a foil, die-cut mask cover by John Amor, and a blank sketch cover. 

Fans can expect to see more of ROM and his alien companion ‘Carpet’ in upcoming issues of Void Rivals! 

M.A.S.K. Origins #1 is a double-sized issue that collects the first appearances of M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M. and other landmark Energon Universe moments that led to the launch of M.A.S.K.!

Snake Plissken returns this September in Escape From New York: Escape From Chicago

Mad Cave Studios brings Snake Plissken back to comics this September with Escape From New York: Escape From Chicago, a new continuation series, expanding the world of John Carpenter’s beloved 1981 cult-classic film.

Written by Kyle Higgins and illustrated by Val Rodrigues, the series sends one of pop culture’s most iconic antiheroes into an all-new adventure packed with danger, violence, and the dystopian chaos that made Escape From New York a genre-defining classic.

Once you go in, you don’t come out—unless your name is Snake Plissken! Plissken now survives as a coyote, smuggling people and contraband across the dangerous dead zones between prison territories like Chicago. It’s a hard and bitter job. But when he’s hired to extract a woman wanted by the city’s warlord, Snake sees one more chance at redemption—or one more chance for the universe to kick his ass.

The debut issue features eight covers, including artwork by Stephen Mooney, Danica Brine, Dan Panosian, and Christian Ward, alongside a 1:10 virgin incentive cover by Mooney, a 1:20 incentive cover by Nick Bradshaw and Jim Charalampidis, a foil variant, and a blank sketch cover.
