Knight Models Teases New Mr. Freeze for the Batman Miniature Game

Knight Models has begun to tease their next releases for their Batman Miniature Game. Thought the teaser isn’t specific it looks like a new Mr. Freeze figure will be added to the game based on the Arkham video games. It’s most likely we’ll get Freeze and a crew to form a new gang for release. A lot of the major characters in Batman have gangs tailored to them with Mr. Freeze being one of the few who currently don’t.

There is currently only one other version of Mr. Freeze for the game, an original concept that I can’t think of having ever appeared in the comics and generally a disliked figure in the range.

Batman Miniature Game Suicide Squad Box Set plus Affleck Batman and Harley Bombshell

After weeks of teasing Knight Models has opened up the pre-order for their first game box for the Batman Miniature Game.

The Suicide Squad Game Box is the first two-player game box for the Batman Miniature Game, containing everything you to fight out vicious street-battles between the Suicide Squad and the Joker’s crew.

Pre-order this box now to get the free Batman (Ben Affleck version), and they even have one last surprise!

There are two versions of the game box! The regular box retails for 99.95 € which is about $112 US (much cheaper than I expected). There’s also a version with an exclusive Harley Quinn Bombshell figure which retails for 109.99 € / about $123.

The company has also revealed the two buildings included (printed on both sides) in the game can be stacked to create a taller building. In total you get 13 figures and character cards, rule book including a special campaign, 2 full-color die-cut card buildings, 4 lamp posts markers, 4 sewer markers, “take the lead” and objective counters and dice.batman-miniature-game-box-set-featured14195922_867128563387463_861287282804533640_o batman_miniature_game_harley_quinn_bombshell_preorder batman_miniature_game_suicide_squad_batman_affleck_preorder

Knight Models Reveals the Batman Miniature Game Suicide Squad Two-Player Game Box

The Suicide Squad: a team of incarcerated super-villains coerced into performing high-risk operations for the US Government in exchange for commuted sentences. Formally known as Task Force X, the squad’s actions are highly classified, and the team itself is highly expendable.

Knight Models has revealed a new deluxe box set is the first two-player game box for the Batman Miniature Game, containing everything you to fight out vicious street-battles between the Suicide Squad and the Joker’s crew.

The new box set features 13 figures and character cards, rule book including a special campaign, 2 full-color die-cut card buildings, 4 lamp posts markers, 4 sewer markers, “take the lead” and objective counters and dice.

This is the first box set for the game. Up to this point, figures have been sold individually and in four-man gangs and the rules have been available in a hard cover book.

A price hasn’t been announced, but I’d expect it to be about $125 to $150. The wording from the announcement also makes it sound like we may see more box sets in the future.

Knight Models Shows Off Suicide Squad for Batman Miniature Game

Knight Models has been teasing out models over the past week for what sounds like a boxed game release for their Batman Miniature Game.

Up to this point, the Batman Miniature Game has been available in a hardcover rulebook and either individual models or gangs featuring four figures. It looks like this “game box” will feature two gangs, the first revealed is the Suicide Squad.

While some of these characters have been available in other versions, this new Suicide Squad gang is based on the movie versions of the characters.

It’s unknown for certainty what the other gang available is or what else will be in the box, but it’s a guess that the Joker’s gang will be the other based on a teaser image of the Panda with a gun from the film. You can see photos of the full gang and some of the individual models below.

The Marvel Universe Miniature Game Adds the Dark Avengers, Dr. Doom, and the Thing!

It’s been around a little over two months since Knight Model‘s last release for the Marvel Universe Miniature Game. The game publisher has announced three new releases today and two are pretty shocking! The game gets some more much-needed villains and one of the members of the Fantastic Four, a whole lot of support for the Avengers faction!

It should be no surprise that Dr. Doom is coming to the game, and at level 11 he will likely have entire teams built around him. With abilities to prevent ranged attacks, teleport, and more, he’s every bit the powerful villain he should be.

What’s Dr. Doom without the Fantastic Four to stop him? The Thing is now available to bring to your team. He’s as tough as you’d expect. Can the rest of the FF be far behind?

The Dark Avengers are ready to take on all comers! Composing of Iron Patriot (Norman Osborn), Ares, Sentry, and Ms. Marvel, this is a superhero team made up of villains. Not one I expected to see in the game, and definitely not this early.

Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man Pre-Release Cancelled

Wizkids has announced that they are cancelling their Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man pre-release event. The company was notified that the recent train derailment near Panhandle, TX on June 28 contained some of their product onboard.

Two individuals died in the accident and a third is presumed dead. Our thoughts go out to their friends and families who lost loved ones.

The product on the train included the Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man set intended for Wizkids’ upcoming Pre-Release events. Because of this, they are unable to fulfill orders for this event and must cancel until further notice.

While a sizable amount of the product release will be in an unknown state for an unforeseeable time, their current plan is to proceed with the launch of the product as scheduled as they have sufficient quantities for all stores who have preordered to date and the majority of the product is unaffected.

This set may be hard to get in the foreseable future though.
