Skybound unveils a first look at Creepshow Volume 2 #5: The Freaky Finale

Skybound has unveiled a horrifying first look at Creepshow Vol. 2 #5, the finale of the second volume of the smash-hit comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Cartel Entertainment.

Creepshow Vol.2 #5 features stories by Saladin Ahmed, Artyom Topilin, DB Andry and Tim Daniel, and Matthew Roberts. The conclusion to the second volume of Creepshow arrives in comic book shops on January 17, 2024. 

In the freaky finale, “Sinister” Saladin Ahmed and “Hair-Raising” Artyom Topilin first spin a horrifying yarn about a politician who tries to protect the youth from “dangerous” comic books in “Burning Ambition”! Then, “Dastardly” DB Andry & “Terrifying” Tim Daniel are joined by “Murderous” Matthew Roberts to tell the story of a boy who sacrifices the things he loves to feed the monster under his bed in “Keep It Fed”!  

In addition to the main cover by Guillem March (Batman), Creepshow Vol. 2 #5 comes with an incredible lineup of variant covers, including a cover by Artyom Toplin and the final cover in the set of 1:10 incentive connecting covers by iconic horror artist Skinner.

Skybound reveals the Creative Roster Behind Creepshow Vol. 2 #5

Skybound has announced the creative roster behind Creepshow Vol. 2 #5, the finale of the second volume of the smash-hit comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Cartel Entertainment. Season 4 of the hit Shudder TV series of the same name is out now on AMC and AMC+. 

Arriving in comic book shops on January 17, 2024, Creepshow Vol.2 #5 features stories by Saladin Ahmed, Artyom Topilin, DB Andry, Tim Daniel, and Matthew Roberts. 

In the spirit of all iterations of Creepshow in pop culture, every issue of the Creepshow comic series comes packed with two spine-chilling stories. Each issue of the five-part anthology will feature different creative teams from the worlds of comics, books, film, television, and beyond.

The smash-hit horror comic is back and creepier than ever! Skybound has announced a second volume of the hugely popular comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Cartel Entertainment.  

Creepshow Volume 2 #1, featuring stories by comic legends Garth Ennis, Becky Cloonan, and Phil Hester, will arrive in comic book shops on September 12, 2023.  

In the spirit of all iterations of Creepshow in pop culture, every issue of the Creepshow comic series comes packed with two spine-chilling stories. Each issue of the five-part anthology will feature different creative teams from the worlds of comics, books, film, television, and beyond. Every uniquely horrifying standalone story is guaranteed to SCARE YOU TO DEATH. 

In the debut issue of the second volume, master of the macabre Garth Ennis and superstar creator Becky Cloonan team up for the very first time to deliver a disturbing tale of the unborn. Then, freaky Phil Hester tells the story of a grieving son who bends the laws of nature to see his mother one last time…this can’t end well!

Skybound celebrates 10 years of Manifest Destiny with a Definitive Deluxe Hardcover

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Skybound has announced the Manifest Destiny Book 1 Deluxe Hardcover, a 500+ page collection of the series from creator/writer Chris Dingess, artist Matthew Roberts, colorist Owen Gieni, and letterer Pat Brosseau. The hardcover will be available everywhere books are sold in November 2023.  

This deluxe hardcover collects the first 24 issues, along with covers and sketchbook, for the definitive presentation of the entire Manifest Destiny series, with a Book 2 Deluxe Hardcover also coming in 2024.  

In 1804, Captain Meriwether Lewis and Captain William Clark set out on an expedition to explore the unchartered American frontier so their great nation could fulfill its destiny. This is the untold story of what they discovered lurking in the wilds.  

When the series debuted with issue #1 on November 13, 2013, Chris Dingess and Matthew Roberts began to tell an action-adventure epic of a new monster birthed right in the heart of America. Manifest Destiny brought Lewis and Clark’s expedition to its blood-soaked conclusion at the end of 2022 after a historic nearly decade-long run, and now fans can celebrate the 10th anniversary and own a definitive piece of the series that created an alternate history of the United States.

Skybound has unveiled a first look at Manifest Destiny #48, the series finale of the highly acclaimed series from the superstar team of writer Chris Dingess, artist Matthew Roberts, colorist Owen Gieni, and letterer Pat Brosseau.   

In 1803, Lewis and Clark led the Corps of Discovery across America so their great nation could fulfill its destiny. Years have passed, and now a new monster has been birthed in the heart of their country.  

Since 2013, Chris Dingess and Matthew Roberts have created an alternate history of the United States, and now it’s time to bring Lewis and Clark’s expedition to its blood-soaked end.  

In addition to the main cover, Manifest Destiny #48 will also feature a Spawn variant cover by Roberts & Gieni as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of both Image Comics and Spawn.

Image and Skybound Launches Skybound X, a Weekly Series featuring New Stories with Rick Grimes and the First Appearance of Clementine

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment will launch a five-issue, limited comic book series, Skybound X. This exciting comic event will feature iconic characters such as The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes, Telltale’s The Walking Dead’s Clementine, and more Skybound favorites. Heavy hitter creators including Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, Tillie Walden, Donny Cates, Joshua Williamson, Chip Zdarsky, James Harren, and Daniel Warren Johnson will contribute stories from the best Skybound series past, present, and future.

Each oversized, weekly issue will kick off with a chapter from “Rick Grimes 2000“, a story originally introduced in the back of The Walking Dead issue 75 and reuniting the Invincible team Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley. In addition, all-new series with brand new comic book characters will debut throughout. Image Comics has revealed the final 4 of 15 tribute variants planned for February’s 25th anniversary theme month to round out the full list of “tribute covers” celebrating the legendary cover images from throughout the Image’s history.

The newly revealed tribute variants include: Sean Lewis & Hayden Sherman’s The Few #2 commemorating Jonathan Hickman & Nick Dragotta’s East of West #1, Chris Dingess, Matthew Roberts, Owen Gieni’s Manifest Destiny #26 commemorating Jonathan Layman & Rob Guillory’s Chew #1, Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda’s Monstress #10 commemorating Todd McFarlane’s Spawn #1, and Outcast by Robert Kirkman & Paul Azaceta #25 commemorating Rob Liefeld’s Brigade #1.
