Udon Announces All-New Street Fighter vs. Darkstalkers Comic Series

After a tantalizing tease at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, UDON Entertainment has officially announced Street Fighter VS. Darkstalkers, an all-new comic series that sees Capcom’s legendary World Warriors and fan-favorite Night Warriors facing off in an action-packed, fan service-fueled comic adventure!

The series will kick off in February 2017 with Street Fighter VS. Darkstalkers #0, a special prelude issue brought to you by mainstay UDON crew members Matt Moylan (story) and Hanzo Steinbach (art). The series proper will then launch soon thereafter with Street Fighter VS. Darkstalkers #1, the first of an epic 8-issue series whose main creative team consists of beloved UDON veterans Ken Siu-chong (story) and Edwin Huang (art). And starting with issue #2, the series will also feature 4-page backup stories from a variety of creators!

So get ready – these time-tested warriors may have already met in arcades and on your game consoles, but nothing can prepare you for their impending comic book clash! When the likes of Ken, Chun-Li, Rashid, Sagat, and Akuma face off against Morrigan, Felicia, Jon Talbain, Bishamon, and Donovan, who will be left standing in the end? The answer to that question and more lie in wait within the pages of Street Fighter VS. Darkstalkers!

ShiftyLook Announces Cast, Music and More for Upcoming Bravoman Cartoon

Namco Bandai Games Inc. announced the voice cast, musical lineup and more for its upcoming cartoon Bravoman: Super-Unequaled Hero of Excellence. Emmy Award winner Rob Paulsen as Bravoman, Alpha Man, additional voices, Annie Award nominee Dee Bradley Baker as Doctor Bomb, Anti-Bravo, additional voices and Romi Dames as Waya Hime, additional voices will bring the world of Bravoman to life when the cartoon releases Spring 2013.

In addition to its A-list cast, Bravoman also features an amazing lineup of musical talent, including the cartoon reunion of Rob Paulsen with Emmy Award-winning composer Randy Rogel for the Bravoman theme song. The duo has worked together on a number of songs, one of the most famous being Animaniacs fan-favorite Yakko’s World.

For the ending song, Go!! Fighting Action Power! (Theme from Bravoman), British gaijin rock band Area 11 performs the anime-inspired song composed by Area 11 leader Sparkles. Bravoman also features an original score by Tommy Pedrini, a musician who recently contributed vocals, beatboxing and additional composition to D3Publisher and WayForward’s Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?!! game.

Bravoman was produced by Rob Pereyda and Jim Zub, directed by Jim Zub and Rob Pereyda and written by Matt Moylan and Jim Zub. Bravoman comic artist Dax Gordine also contributed as character designer for the cartoon. Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Copernicus Studios provided animation services and its creative director, Murray Bain, performed animation direction. ShiftyLook Premiers New Web-Comic Based on NAMCO’s Retro Video Game Series, Wagan Land!

The holidays are almost over and, while most of you may be finished opening your gifts this year, ShiftyLook has one more in store for you: the premier of their latest ShiftyLook web-comic, Wagan Land!

Based on the classic Namco platformer, Wagan Land follows the adventures of the mechanical dinosaur Wagan as he attempts to thwart the evil schemes and puzzles of Dr.Devil. Much like Bravoman this long-running game series has remained a Japanese exclusive to this day, making ShiftyLook’s comic Wagan Land’s official international debut!

Fittingly, the series will feature the hilarious writing of Bravoman‘s Matt Moylan, and will also mark the official ShiftyLook debut of Udon artist Rob “Robaato” Porter! SDCC 2012 – Shiftylook Announcements Comics, Animation and More

Namco Bandai just announced during the ShiftyLook Panel at San Diego Comic-Con this week three new webcomics titles and its first two web animation series. Announcements coincide with the re-launch of the ShiftyLook website and new retro-inspired logo. New titles will join nearly a dozen webcomics already available through ShiftyLook, including Bravoman, Dig Dug and Wonder Momo.
