Marvel Television’s Wonder Man Official Trailer is Here!

“Simon Williams. Reading for Wonder Man.”

We’ve got a first look at Marvel Television‘s Wonder Man, which gives us a tease of a rather self-aware series that pokes fun of the superhero genre.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays the title character of Simon Williams who in the comics becomes Wonder Man. He’s no stranger to comic films, having play Black Manta in the Aquaman movies for DC and was Cal Abar in the Watchmen television series. Ben Kingsley returns as Trevor Slattery. That character debuted in Marvel Studio’s Iron Man 3 in 2013 and returned in multi Marvel projects like the All Hail the King one-shot and most recently in 2021’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Wonder Man premieres January 27 at 6pm on Disney+.

Flame On with Hot Toys’ Human Torch from Fantastic Four: First Steps

Set in a 1960s-inspired alternate Earth, the blockbuster hit The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel Studios’ First Family in epic style. The Fantastic Four unites to defend their world from cosmic threats like Galactus and Silver Surfer, while discovering the true power of family. Johnny Storm, AKA Human Torch, is the fiery soul of the team. With a blend of bravado, humor, and charm, Joseph Quinn’s take on the Human Torch shows a young man discovering both his powers and his place among the family.

The Human Torch 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys features a detailed likeness of Joseph Quinn in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, including sculpted blonde hair and an innovative rolling eyeball design that allows fans to alter the position of the figure’s gaze.

This highly poseable figure has over 30 points of articulation and wears a meticulously tailored blue and white uniform in an elasticated fabric with a ribbed texture. A selection of 8 interchangeable gloved hands in a variety of gestures and 2 flame effect hands to recreate his pyrogenesis ability are also included.

Mini Reviews: Thunderbolts* welds superpowers and interpersonal struggle to craft an action packed and heart rending story

Thunderbolts*

Sometimes, the staff at Graphic Policy are unable to get long reviews written. When that happens you’ll see these “mini reviews.”

These are Graphic Policy’s Mini Reviews and Recommendations.

Logan

Thunderbolts*– When Thunderbolts* began with the comic panel intro instead of the MCU, I knew it would be a solid flick. It’s an ode to the hard cases and the girlies with mental health struggles who just happen to have the powers of Superman or Russian spy martial arts. Director Jake Schreier wisely centers the film on Yelena Belova’s (Florence Pugh) journey, and her gifts for wry comedy and deep emotion are on display. I especially love her interactions with Bob (Lewis Pullman) and Red Guardian (David Harbour), who brings the loudest laughs. Instead of focusing on the next film, Thunderbolts* welds superpowers and interpersonal struggles to craft an action packed and occasionally heart rending story. Seriously, Yelena’s story is relatable to anyone who feels lonely and left out. Overall Verdict: 7.0

Marvel Studios drops a surprise with Spider-Man: Brand New Day for 2026

We have a title for the next Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

When the last film ended, Peter had Doctor Strange cast a spell so everyone forgot who he was. “Brand New Day” echoes the 2008 comic where Spider-Man’s life had been erased and his secret identity forgotten. It introduced new characters, many of whom could easily be in the new film. The story has been collected in an omnibus which is sure to be a hot item now.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is coming to theaters July 31, 2026.

Marvel Studios reveals the cast for Avengers: Doomsday

Avengers: Doomsday

Marvel Studios‘ next major event film, Avengers: Doomsday, is in production and the company has revealed a long list of actors from all sorts of different eras of Marvel films that will be in the movie. Much like the last round of Avengers films, this latest entry will be split into two movies released a year apart, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars which will likely see Earth’s heroes taking on Doctor Doom.

During last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. was returning to Marvel films but this time as Victor Von Doom aka Doctor Doom! Along with Downey, the Russo Brothers would be returning to direct the film.

Now, we get to see all of the other stars, and their characters, that will likely be going up against Downey Jr. with a few surprises:

  • Chris Hemsworth – Thor
  • Vanessa Kirby – Sue Storm/Invisible Woman
  • Anthony Mackie – Sam Wilson/Captain America
  • Sebastian Stan – Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier
  • Letitia Wright – Shuri
  • Paul Rudd – Ant-Man
  • Wyatt Russell – John Walker
  • Tenoch Huerta Mejia – Namor
  • Ebon Moss-Bachrach – Ben Grimm/Thing
  • Simu Liu – Shang-Chi
  • Florence Pugh – Yelena Belova
  • Kelsey Grammer – Beast
  • Lewis Pullman – Robert Reynolds/Sentry
  • Danny Ramirez – Joaquin Torres
  • Joseph Quinn – Johnny Storm/Human Torch
  • David Harbour – Red Guardian
  • Winston Duke – M’Baku
  • Hannah John-Kamen – Ghost
  • Tom Hiddleston – Loki
  • Patrick Stewart – Professor X
  • Ian McKellen – Magneto
  • Alan Cumming – Nightcrawler
  • Rebecca Romijn – Mystique
  • James Marsden – Cyclops
  • Channing Tatum – Gambit
  • Pedro Pascal – Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic
  • Robert Downey Jr. – Victor Von Doom

What stands out?

Obviously the inclusion of classic X-Men characters, and which, is a bit of a surprise. Patrick Stewart has appeared as Professor X in one film, but overall the inclusion of so many teases what might be coming. Lewis Pullman’s Sentry is listed which sort of spoils the upcoming film Thunderbolts*. There are not Eternals listed, nor any of the television characters Beyond that, the cast list is mostly the newer actors who have picked up the torch.

We’re still expected a few more surprises… Chris Evans’ return anyone?

Avengers: Doomsday is set to come to theaters in 2026. You can watch the teaser announcement below.
