Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man Pre-Release Cancelled

Wizkids has announced that they are cancelling their Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man pre-release event. The company was notified that the recent train derailment near Panhandle, TX on June 28 contained some of their product onboard.

Two individuals died in the accident and a third is presumed dead. Our thoughts go out to their friends and families who lost loved ones.

The product on the train included the Marvel HeroClix: The Superior Foes of Spider-Man set intended for Wizkids’ upcoming Pre-Release events. Because of this, they are unable to fulfill orders for this event and must cancel until further notice.

While a sizable amount of the product release will be in an unknown state for an unforeseeable time, their current plan is to proceed with the launch of the product as scheduled as they have sufficient quantities for all stores who have preordered to date and the majority of the product is unaffected.

This set may be hard to get in the foreseable future though.

Marvel HeroClix: Civil War Storyline OP!

A Civil War breaks out in Marvel Heroclix this June! Whose side are you on?

The Superhuman Registration Act has divided the heroes (and villains) of the Marvel Universe— whose side will you be on when you face off against your friends and former allies in Marvel HeroClix: Civil War?

Marvel HeroClix: Civil War is a four-month Storyline Organized Play event series that will both divide and unite HeroClix players around the world as they choose to fight alongside Iron Man and other Pro-Registration heroes or alongside Captain American and his band of Anti-Registration vigilantes.

Marvel Heroclix: Civil War booster packs feature five figures, 2 Pro-Registration (on red Heroclix bases), 2 Ant-Registration (on blue Heroclix bases), and 1 Neutral figure (on the standard black bases). There is also a support pack which contains 1 of 6 limited edition figures, two double-sided maps, and eight “Bounty” cards.

At the end of the event, players will draft their prizes based on their standing.

The Bounty Cards are to be distributed one random to each player.

  • Pro-Registration players should receive a Pro-Registration Bounty Card (Red Cards);
  • Anti-Registration players should receive an Anti-Registration Bounty Card (Blue Cards).

A Victory for Our Side— If a player KOs the character shown on their Bounty Card, each player of their faction [Pro-Registration/Anti-Registration] in the tournament may heal a friendly character 1 click at the beginning of that player’s next turn.

Players compete to draft figures used in their Battle Royale game (for Months 1-3)

Additionally, players will compete to try and win/draft a Marvel HeroClix: Civil War Prize Pack which contains one (1) of six (6) different Limited Edition figures— packaged randomly.

The Grand Prize for this Storyline Organized Play series is a set of 8 exclusive Civil War Prizes for players to snake draft. At the end of Month 4, the total of all players Tournament Points (TPs) are totaled to determine the draft order.

In the Marvel HeroClix: Guardians of the Galaxy Organized Play, players will face off at their local game store for the chance to win exclusive prizes.

This organized play kit includes Star-Lord featuring an all new sculpt, Gamora with new coloring and dial, and Drax the Destroyer featuring new coloring and dial. The figures include their cards.

WizKids Releases Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel HeroClix Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. BrickWizKids has announced the release of the Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. set, which is available now in North American retail stores. The Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. set features a mix of past and present agents (and enemies) of S.H.I.E.L.D., including the evil agents of Hydra. This series also includes 15 randomly inserted ID Cards in the booster packs, allowing players to call their favorite characters into battle during their HeroClix games.

Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. also features the all-new Build-A-Clix figure — five objects (and a Base/Card) randomly inserted into various packs in the series that can be assembled to create the Hulkbuster Mk II Armor!

All in all, the Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. set contains 101 items to collect— this includes: 16 Common figures (plus 8 variants), 16 Uncommon figures (plus 2 variants), 16 Rare figures, 12 Super-Rare figures (plus 1 variant), 5 Chase figures, 4 Prime figures, 6 Hulkbuster Mk. Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Storyline Organized Play Series Tournament Booster Brick 2

The event will feature booster bricks and some of the details of the second round of bricks has come out. The booster bricks will feature 56 figures found only in Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Tournament Boosters. The Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Tournament Booster Brick 2 is intended for use in Event 3 & 4 of store’s Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Storyline Organized Play event series.

The Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Tournament Booster Brick 2 contains 10 Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Tournament Boosters. Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Tournament Booster Brick 2 will support up to 10 players for in-store Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Storyline OP events.

Of the 56 total figures, only 28  can be found in the Tournament Booster Brick 2!  The 28 figures include: ⁻ 8 common figures ⁻ 7 uncommon figures ⁻ 6 rare figures ⁻ 5 super Rare figures ⁻ 2 chase figures ⁻ 5 Avengers I.D. Cards

The release will include three releases including a booster brick, fast forces, and dice & token pack. There’ll also be an organized play release. Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of Nick_Fury_Agent_of_Shield_BoosterS.H.I.E.L.D. features past and current agents of the international spy organization S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as nefarious agents of the super-terrorist group Hydra!

Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. also features 15 different ID Cards randomly inserted into boosters—collect all ID Cards to be able to call your favorite heroes (and agents) into battle! Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. introduces the all-new Assembl-A-Figure—randomly inserted into packs are 5 unique 3D Objects and a Base/Card that all assemble to create Tony Stark’s ultimate Hulkdeterrent— the Hulkbuster Mk II Armor!

Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. includes sub-themes of Howling Commandos, Invaders, and iconic Marvel heroes during their enlistment as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

The Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. set has 86 figures to collect: – 24 Common figures (plus one Prime), – 18 Uncommon figures (plus one Prime), – 16 Rare figures (plus one Prime), – 13 Super Rare figures (plus one Prime), – 5 Chase figures – 1 Hulkbuster Mk II Armor Assembl-A-Figure.

The Fast Forces releases features a quick play team featuring 6 figures led by Nick Fury and Phil Coulson. This crack squad of agents include Agents May, Fitz, Simmons and the masterhacker-turned-agent Skye!  The release has the usual rules sheet, but this one also includes a 3D bystander, Fitz’s Helper Monkey!

The Marvel HeroClix: S.H.I.E.L.D. Dice & Token Pack contains 2 custom dice featuring the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo and 6 action tokens featuring fan-favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and heroes, Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Indestructible Hulk, and Winter Solider.

Finally, Wizkids will be supporting the release with a Marvel HeroClix: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. OP Kit. The contents include a Limited Edition Winter Solider figure and card (3 per kit), 2-sided 24” x 36” HeroClix Maps (5 per kit) – S.H.I.E.L.D. Secret Bunker/Hydra Island, and 1 Organized Play Instruction Sheet outlining suggested event formats.
