The Marvel HeroClix: 2015 Spider-Man Symbiotes Monthly Organized Play Kit (OP) contains everything a retailer needs to bring HeroClix players into their store for weekly events – including new limited edition figures not found anywhere else!
Each Monthly OP Kit ships the last week of the month for use in the following month or anytime thereafter.
Each OP Kit includes prizes to run multiple events, with each event giving away prizes for 1st, a fellowship drawing and a flex prize. A suggested schedule and format guide makes it easy for stores to run HeroClix organized play for the first time.
This Monthly Organized Play Kit includes four copies each of three different Limited Edition figures: Spider-Man, Venom and Agent Venom! The Marvel HeroClix: Venom is an all-new sculpt and dial, while both the Marvel HeroClix: Spider-Man and Agent Venom figures are alternate paint versions with new dials.
Wizkids‘ Marvel HeroClix is bringing us the Ant-Man Box Set! This set features six different versions of Hank Pym from different periods of his superhero career:

- PLUS—a bonus Ant-Man dial!
Each figure comes with their character card. The new Hank Pym figures included in the Marvel HeroClix: Ant-Man Box Set all interact with each other in-game to make for exciting HeroClix game play!
WizKids has announced details about the Marvel HeroClix organized play products for Marvel Heroclix Age of Ultron. Beginning in June 2015, a four-month organized play program begins featuring two OP Kits and two Tournament Boosters with the first shipping in June.
The program features 56 figures, 28 in each series. Each Tournament Booster Brick (1 and 2) contains 8 commons, 7 uncommons, 6 rares, 5 super rares, 2 chase figures, and 5 Avengers I.D. Cards. Each Booster Brick contains 10 Tournament Boosters, enough to support 10 players for Marvel HeroClix Age of Ultron Storyline OP events.
Retailers may order two Tournament Booster Bricks for every OP Kit they order, and the Booster Bricks will ship with the corresponding OP Kits. The program includes prizes each month and a Grand Prize for the end of the four-month event series.
Wizkids has a lot of Heroclix plans for Avengers for 2015 all leading up to Avengers 2: Age of Ultron which hits theaters that summer.
It’s a bit of a no-duh, but Wizkids will release a set based on next summer’s movie Avengers: Age of Ultron. Marvel HeroClix: Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in April 2015. This will be a bit smaller of a set and feature a starter set as well as a Gravity Feed.
The Movie Starter includes six Avengers figures: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, all with new dials. There’ll be a two-sided map featuring the Avengers Tower and HYDRA base (locations featured in the film), as well as a rulebook, tokens, and the usual cards.
Also being released is a 13 figure Gravity Feed set. That set will consist of 8 Common, 4 Core-hobby exclusive Rare, and 1 Core-hobby exclusive Chase.
Wizkids will see a few release for Marvel HeroClix: Avengers Assemble which hits shelves on May 6th. The release will see three releases including a Booster Brick and two Dice & Token Packs.
The set will focus on members of the Avengers as well as their villains and comes out in time for Avengers: Age of Ultron to hit movies. The release will also see the Marvel HeroClix: Age of Ultron Storyline Organized Play event planned for Summer 2015.
The set features 71 figures that includes numerous themes including characters from the cult-comics Avengers Academy and Avengers Arena. There will also be 15 different Avengers ID Cards that will be randomly inserted into boosters. The set includes 16 Common figures (plus one Prime figure), 16 Uncommon figures (plus one Prime), 16 Rare figures (plus one Prime figure), 12 Super Rare figures (plus one Prime), and 7 Thematic Chase Figures.
The release also includes the Avengers Assemble “Captain America” Dice & Token Pack and the Avengers Assemble “Iron Man” Dice & Token Pack. Each pack will come with two custom dice featuring the Avengers logo and six action tokens featuring members of the Avengers team. The two packs will retail for $9.99 and the Captain America features Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Falcon; while the Iron Man pack features Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, Vision, Wasp and Ant-Man.
The Release Day Organized Play Kit will include three limited edition HeroClix Pym Particles 3D Objects, five 2-sided maps (Avengers Compound, Arcade’s Arena), and an instruction sheet.
This is in addition to the Marvel HeroClix: The Avengers Quick-Start Kit which will be released on May 2nd.
Wizkids is looking to repeat this year’s Free Comic Book Day offering with a new Heroclix starter set for individuals to get an easy introduction into the game.
The Marvel HeroClix: The Avengers Quick-Start Kit will include two figures, Captain America and Iron Man, as well as character cards, quick-start rules, and a board game map. The set will retail for $4.99 and the two figures are meant as non-collectible figures, so not to be used in tournaments.
The next Free Comic Book Day is on May 2, 2015.
Wizkids has released a preview of the Angel miniature from the Marvel Heroclix: X-Men 2014 Monthly Organized Play kit. The kits feature 4 copies of 3 limited edition figures that you can’t find anywhere else and all three of the figures interact with the X-Men team base from the Marvel Heroclix: Wolverine and the X-Men set.
Angel features not just a new dial, but also a sculpt unique to this play kit. The other two figures will feature sculpts previously released, but will have new dials.
Angel is a cheap 65 points the figure can be used in the #T002 X-Men Gold Strike Force team base and when attached the figure may now use Energy Shield/Deflection.
Angel is a quick support/attack character, carrying teammates around or using his move and attack ability with Hypersonic Speed. He also comes with Force Blast for the first two clicks.
Angel has 3 clicks of damage for his first two clicks, and his
On the first two clicks of Angel’s damage slot he can dish out 3 clicks of damage to opposing characters. He also has Aerial Recon and Assault, which allows him use Close Combat Expert. Additionally, Aerial Recon and Assault lets the character help his teammates as well by by preventing opposing characters within 4 squares from using Stealth. Angel has the Toughness power to help him absorb some of the damage dealt to him.
Once he’s off his first two clicks Angel gains Charge and picks up Quake in his attack slot. Defensively, Angel switches from Toughness to Super Senses. Aerial Recon and Assault sticks around on Angel’s third click, then is replaced with Exploit Weakness on his last two clicks.
Basically Angel is a solid member of a team, especially an X-Men one since he has that team ability. Your force won’t be built around him, but he’s solid support acting as a taxi to get you to close the gap quicker or as a third attacker.
If you’re unfamiliar with Wizkids‘ game Heroclix, or just want to check out their latest set release for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie, the company has released a video showing off some of the sculpts of the figures.
Wizkids has announced details on the first four Heroclix organized play kits that’ll be a part of their new weekly play format. Beginning in August the new kits will alternate between Marvel and DC until the end of the year. The new kits are intended to last the month, and the following month’s kits will be released towards the end of the month. How many kits a store can get will be based on their performance, and stores can order up to 3 kits total as long as the supplies last.
All of the kits will include an OP addendum, and instruction sheet. The figures are intended as prizes for first place, a fellowship drawing, and flex prize.
August will see Marvel Heroclix: X-Men 2014 Monthly Organized Play Kit. It includes 12 limited edition figures, four each of the following: Angel (with a new sculpt and dial), Psylocke (with a new dial), and Rogue (with a new dial). The release date is August 27.
September’s release is the DC HeroClix: Gen 13 2014 Organized Play Kit. It includes 12 limited edition figures, four each of the following: John Lynch (with new sculpt and dial), Sarah Rainmaker (with new dial), and Cheshire (with new dial). The release date is September 24.
October will see Marvel HeroClix: Excalibur 2014 Monthly Organized Play Kit. It includes 12 limited edition figures, four each of the following: Pete Wisdom (with new sculpt and dial), Captain Britain (with new dial), and Cannonball (with new dial). The release date for this one is October 29.
November’s release is DC HeroClix : Justice League 2014 Monthly Organized Play Kit. The kit will include 12 limited edition figures, four copies each of three figures: Black Canary (with new sculpt and dial), Wonder Woman (with new dial), and Wonder Girl (with new dial). This one will be released November 26.
Wizkids has announced the anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past Heroclix set has been delayed due to international customs. While most of the product did arrive at various staging areas on time, to ensure a more uniform rollout to all retailers the company is adjusting the release dates of the following products:
