Costuming and LARPing supply company Burgschneider is heading to New York Comic Con with a booth and panel! While they’re well known if Europe for their high end costumes for larping as well as their impressive products, they’re just starting to make their way in the US. Dungeons & Dragons- Call to Arms, Burgschneider & Skill Tree: Visual Storytelling in LARP and Costuming

Overseas, Burgschneider is a household name for high-end, affordable costumes for cosplaying and larping, as well as their visual storytelling for fantastical products and worlds, yet in the US they aren’t well known. This ends now. “Visual Storytelling in LARP and Costuming” will shine a light on Burgschneider’s unique approach to bringing fantastical worlds to life on camera, and explores how to tell appealing character stories through costume design. Hosted by Skill Tree’s co-owner Kit, the panel will feature appearances by Burgschneider CEO and co-founder Markus Boehm; Chief Creative Officer Thomas “Beol” Miller; and Skill Tree’s co-owner, Madi.

Burgschneider announces a licensed collaboration with Games Workshop

Cosplay got some spotlight at the past weekend’s Warhammer Fest 2023 and on the heels of that, Burgschneider has announced they’ll be collaborating with Games Workshop to bring a licensed range of costume lines for Warhammer to market. The costumes will initially be centered on Warhammer The Old World.

The new collection will feature iconic uniforms, LARP-safe weapons, and armor from factions such as the Empire of Man and Bretonnia, and will be designed to appeal to both Warhammer fans and LARPers around the world.

The new collection is expected to be released in 2024.

Mastodon’s High Road video is an ode to D&D and LARPing

Mastodon‘s new video for their song High Road is beyond fantastic. The new video is a celebration of dice slinging role-playing games as well as live action role-playing (LARPing). You don’t need to be a fan of either to truly appreciate it, but the video, plus the song, takes me back to my time as a counter jockey at my local game shop.
