Lynnvander Studios announces Imaria: Beyond the Veil

Imaria: Beyond the Veil

The acclaimed dark fantasy 5E setting Imaria from Lynnvander Studios returns to crowdfunding with new additions ahead of final production.

Spanning more than 600 pages total, Imaria is a dark fantasy campaign setting and adventure series for 5E, shaped by four Pillars of Power – mana, anti-magic, psionics, and ethereal chronomancy – and bound together by The Veil, a temporal force that isolates the world from extraplanar influence. The setting explores civilizations shaped by the presence, absence, and cost of power – blending fantasy with unsettling elements and long-form play.

Imaria: Beyond the Veil offers a final opportunity for players to access the world of Imaria before the project moves into fulfillment. Following the original Imaria crowdfunding campaign, this upcoming effort will make the full setting available again, along with new additions.

The project features contributions from a wide roster of celebrated creators, including Ed Greenwood, Elisa Teague, and Keith Baker, among others. These collaborators provided additional content and creative perspectives within the existing world of Imaria. Updates to the project also include alignment with the 2024 rules.

Imaria: Beyond the Veil introduces several new additions including:

  • The Tavern of Timeless Tales, a new companion book
  • Eight new dice sets, inspired by the Imarian Elder Dragons
  • New digital adventures, expanding the playable content

Gen Con 2025: Jam out on the tabletop with Jerry Garcia’s Cosmic Journey

Jerry Garcia’s Cosmic Journey

For decades, Jerry Garcia’s art and music have opened the door to fun, magic, and memories. Now, Twogether Studios and The Jerry Garcia Family invite you to roll the dice and push your luck with Jerry Garcia’s Cosmic Journey, a new game infused with Jerry’s vibrant artwork and spirit.

Game designers Jenn Ellis and Keith Baker—known for games like Illimat with The Decemberists, Eberron for Dungeons & Dragons, Gloom, and Cool Cool Cool—created a game that they could imagine Jerry bringing to a game night. A dice game that can be played almost anywhere, with people of all ages—and that has folksy roots, a touch of Americana and a trickster spirit. Players press their luck rolling dice to be the highest roller, and win by being the first to leave all their Bummers behind. It’s easy to learn and play, and includes variant rulesets to keep players on their toes.

Twogether Studios will be previewing Jerry Garcia’s Cosmic Journey this week at booth #939 at Gen Con 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sign up at Twogetherstudios.com for early access to preorder launching the first week in September!

Renegade Game Studios and Oni Press are bringing Scott Pilgrim to tabletop games. Scott Pilgrim‘s Precious Little Card Game is an innovative deck-building game by Keith Baker and based on the graphic novels by Bryan Lee O’Malley. Baker focused on the detail to stay true to the heart of the series, something fans will appreciate.

Being a grown-up is HARD and maybe not worth it? You might rather spend time tweaking your band’s set list until it’s guaranteed to get you that big gig opening for legit rockstars. Perhaps you’re better off dating someone a bit younger than chasing a fairytale romance with the age-appropriate girl (or boy) you met at a party. Maybe the drama constantly engulfing your pals feeds you, even if it is bringing your friends down. And don’t adults just sit at desks all day worrying about how bread makes you fat? Do adults ever even get attacked by random robot ruffians determined to pick a fight? Huh. Maybe there is something to getting it together…

Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Card Game is a deckbuilding game that challenges you to grow up and prepare for your finest hour. Players assume the roles of their favorite characters in the Scott Pilgrim universe, each of whom comes with a unique starting deck. Innovative double-sided cards let you decide whether to solve your problems with hard work and empathy, or whether to embrace the unpredictable world of gratuitous video game violence.

Beyond the video-game-style combo moves unique to each character, fans will also appreciate the innovative double-sided cards. Players will be faced to make hard choices about whether to fight or upgrade their life with each card placed into the Plot line. Defeating the Evil Ex and collecting Power-Ups will help players inch their way towards victory.
