The world’s largest LGBTQ+ comics and pop culture convention is coming to Broadway! Flame Con arrives at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2026.

The star power at Flame Con just got brighter! Joining the already-stacked roster of special guests — including comics trailblazers and New York Times best-sellers alike — are voice talent from Witch Hat Atelier and Jujutsu Kaisen alongside artists from The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and Big City Greens. This new batch of creators are illuminating the future of queer pop culture.

Anjali Kunapaneni is a voice actor known for their work as Coco (Witch Hat Atelier), Roy (Pokémon Horizons: The Series), Yuki Tsukumo (Jujutsu Kaisen), Dori (Genshin Impact), Sushang (Honkai Star Rail), Alma (Monster Hunter Wilds), Shi Qingxuan (Heaven Official’s Blessing), Feri (Trails Through the Dawn), Ayaka (Fate/strange Fake), Lemon (Mashle: Magic and Muscles), Shinigami (Master Detective Archives: Rain Code), and Kiruko (Heavenly Delusion), among others. (Appearing Exclusively on Saturday)

Erica Henderson is a three-time Eisner Award-winning artist best known for the comics The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (Marvel), Jughead (Archie), Parasocial (Image), and Harley and Ivy: Life and Crimes (DC), as well as for animation on Venture Bros. (Adult Swim).

Kiana Khansmith is best known for creating the independent YouTube series Pretty Pretty Please I Don’t Want to Be a Magical Girl. An Annie-nominated storyboard artist, she currently works on Disney TVA’s Big City Greens as well as for Netflix, DreamWorks, TAIKO, and The Pokémon Company, among others. She has also appeared on online shows and podcasts, most notably Dropout TV’s Game Changer.

Olivia Cuartero-Briggs is an award-winning writer born and raised in New York City. Her recent television credits include The Arrangement (E! Entertainment) and Queen of the South (USA), and her comics work includes The College Try (Maverick), Jill and the Killers (Oni Press), Kill Train (Mad Cave Studios), and Mary Shelley Monster Hunter and Silver City (Aftershock). Her accolades include The Jane Chambers Playwriting Award, The New York Theater Festival’s Best Original Play Award, Hollywood Comedy Shorts Best of Fest Award, and the Flint Film Festival’s Best Screenplay Award.

Josh Cornillon is a comic writer and illustrator from Nice, France, who now lives in New York. His eclectic work balances the cute, charming, and sexy with the gruesome and horrible. He has written and drawn for Dark Horse, Mad Cave, and IDW, and co-writes Spider-Man for the UK’s Spider-Man Magazine alongside Steve Foxe.

Connor Goldsmith is best known as the creator and host of the critically acclaimed, independent X-Men podcast Cerebro. He made his comic writing debut in May 2026 with the  horror comic Did You Hear About Mimi Green? (Dark Horse), which features art and lettering by Josh.

Ryan La Sala is an award-winning author known for his genre-defying, queer-centered fantasy, including the apocalyptic horror duology The Dead of Summer and the cottagecore horror novel The Honeys, which is currently in development as a feature film from Anonymous Content. He has been featured in The New York Times Book Review, Publisher’s Weekly, Entertainment Weekly, NPR, among other outlets.

Tastemaker Mimi Green is a popular essayist with a perfectly curated social media presence—until a blog post she wrote a decade ago, cruelly mocking fat people, resurfaces and sparks a viral furor. Mimi checks into an isolated mental health facility in Topanga to ride out the scandal, but as sound baths and crystal healings by day give way to restless nights, she’s pulled into another version of the building. There the halls are old and gluttonous and gilded, and the vainglorious like Mimi and her fellow patients are punished again and again. Only local bartender Natalie, the lesbian lover Mimi hid from the public, stands a chance of tracking her down before it’s too late.

Dark Horse Comics presents, Did You Hear About Mimi Green?, a brand-new comic series with a surreal and grisly take on the wellness industry, “cancel culture”, body dysmorphia, and the complex power dynamics of show business. Did You Hear About Mimi Green? will be a four-issue horror series written by Connor Goldsmith in his comics debut, illustrated by Josh Cornillon, and lettered by Ariana Maher. Issue #1 arrives in May 2026 and will include cover variants by Rosemary Valero-O’Connell and Nick Robles.
