Spider-Man’s Greatest Villains take on the Marvel Universe in Variant Covers

Doctor Octopus. Kraven the Hunter. Green Goblin. These iconic Spider-Man villains and many more belong to one of the most legendary rogues gallery in pop culture history, and this June, they’ll be getting the spotlight on 20 all-new variant covers by some of the industry’s leading artists. See explosive matchups like the Immortal Hulk taking down Rhino, Daredevil going head to head with Shocker, Miles facing off against Lady Octopus, and Shang-Chi caught in the grip of King Cobra on incredible artwork on the covers of your favorite ongoing Marvel series. Marvel’s Pride Month Celebration Continues with Covers by Phil Jimenez

In addition to Marvel’s Voices: Pride #1, Marvel Comics will commemorate Pride Month this year with a new series of stunning variant covers by legendary artist Phil Jimenez! Spotlighting Marvel’s growing LGBTQ+ representation, Marvel’s Pride Month Variant Covers will feature some of Marvel’s most popular LGBTQ+ heroes including Wiccan, Northstar, Mystique, and more. These stunning depictions will proudly adorn the covers of your favorite Marvel titles throughout the month of June.

A total of nine covers, Phil Jimenez’s artwork will include the following LGBTQ+ characters:

The Predator Hunts the Marvel Universe in Variant Covers

Deadpool’s Year-Long Anniversary Celebration Features More Rob Liefeld Covers

Announced last month, Deadpool’s 30th anniversary will be celebrated all year long with an incredible series of variant covers all drawn by Deadpool co-creator and legendary artist Rob Liefeld. Liefeld will bring Deadpool to life on 30 different covers that will be released on some of your favorite ongoing series throughout 2021, and today, Marvel Comics is proud to present the next set of covers in this amazing collection. Getting the star treatment he deserves, the Merc with the Mouth will be teaming up with heroes from all across the Marvel Universe such as Captain America, Iron Man, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and more.

Three decades ago, Deadpool first appeared in the legendary New Mutants #98 by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza, and the comic book world has never been the same! Be sure to celebrate Deadpool’s big year with these extraordinary covers when they begin debuting in March!

Nominees for the 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards Announced

GLAAD has announced the nominees for the 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. The awards honor media for “fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues”. The awards began in 1990 and this year features 198 nominees in 28 categories.

Award recipients will be announced during a virtual ceremony scheduled for April 2021.

Below are the nominees in the comic category. You can get the full list of nominees at the GLAAD website.

The Old Guard, based on the comic series by Greg Rucka, Leandro Fernández, Daniela Miwa, and Jodi Wynne was nominated for “Outstanding Film – Wide Release“.

Harley Quinn, the HBO MAX/DC Universe animated series based on the DC Comics character created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini was nominated in “Outstanding Comedy Series“.

Supergirl, based on the DC Comics character, Wynonna Earp based on the character created by Beau Smith, and The Umbrella Academy based on the comic by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá were nominated for “Outstanding Drama Series”.
