Mind MGMT: New & Improved and Fort Psycho go Print First with Digital Release Delays

Oni Press has revealed that the first two new series released under superstar creator Matt Kindt’s Flux House imprint will feature an extended window of physical-only availability. Debuting in June and August, respectively, both Mind MGMT: New & Improved and Fort Psycho will be available exclusively at comic book retailers with no digital releases for either series until 30 days after the release of each series’ fourth issue.

Notably both series will also feature an array of specially tailored, print-only upgrades designed to take full advantage of comics as print medium. First: Beginning with an all-new, entirely self-contained entry point into the genre-bending, Eisner Award–nominated series, Mind MGMT: New & Improved #1 will feature a specialty die-cut cover and 32 pages of content written, drawn, colored, lettered, and designed by Kindt himself – alongside a specially manufactured “blind bag” containing one of 15 exclusive, chase, or rare variant covers spanning four distinct subsets from some of Kindt’s closest and most acclaimed collaborators, including Jenna Cha, Jeff Lemire, Jesse Lonergan, Fábio Moon, David Rubín, Scott Suguichi, and J.H. Williams III. The series’ first issue will debut in comic shops everywhere on June 24th.

Then: Debuting in August, Fort Psycho #1 (of 12) – the 40-page first issue of the explosive new maxi-series from co-creators Matt Kindt and Brian Hurtt – will maximize the power of comic book storytelling in the most aggressive and high intensity manner ever attempted on the printed page, thanks to a new publishing format called PSYCHO-VISION. Upping the ante with upgrades across all 12 issues in Kindt and Hurtt’s masterclass in super-spy betrayal and subversion, each issue of Fort Psycho will feature panton-keyed covers on 10 pt. cardstock with a maximized, ad-free format brimming with back matter (to say nothing of the violence and harsh language).

Archie Comics and Oni Press Begin New Era in 2026 with a Publishing Partnership

In 2026, the fantastical, pure-pop existence of “America’s Favorite Teenager” will be thrown into overdrive as Archie Andrews reaches a once-in-a-lifetime crossroads between then and now, daydream and reality, the heat of the moment and the vast expanse of eternity, across three daring new monthly series from some of the most brilliantly innovative creators working in the comics industry today: multiple Eisner Award nominee W. The new Archie line will be editorially overseen by Oni Press Editor-in-Chief Sierra Hahn with additional contributions from Senior Editor Bess Pallares and Editor Megan Brown with guidance from Archie Comics‘ own Senior Director of Editorial Jamie Rotante and Editor & Art Director Vincent Lovallo. Full creative details on each series are being kept under tight wraps, but readers and retailers can expect to hear more as Oni Press and Archie begin a unified marketing and communications campaign for their new slate that will include key appearances at the annual ComicsPRO Industry Conference in Glendale, CA and San Diego Comic-Con 2026 in the months ahead. 

Following the debut of the all-new Archie #1 in September 2026, the unprecedented publishing partnership between Oni Press and Archie Comics will continue as Oni releases a wave of brand-new collections spanning all eras of Archie’s history in variety of formats – including compact digest editions, deluxe hardcovers and omnibi, and comprehensive box sets – that will spotlight contributions from the characters’ original creators John L. Coming up, Archie will next appear on the small screen in a live-action horror series Afterlife with Archie on Disney+  followed by the big screen in a new live-action feature film written by Eisner Award winner Tom King and produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller for Universal Pictures. 

This is the third publishing partnership Oni Press has announced in recent years. Along with Archie, Oni is also publishing comics under the classic EC Comics imprint and Matt Kindt’s Flux House imprint debuts in Summer 2026. 

Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s Helen of Wyndhorn gets a Deluxe Edition in February 2026

James Tynion IV and Michael Avon Oeming’s Blue Book returns with Blue Book: 1947

Long before Betty and Barney Hill excited the public with their alien encounter story, there were years and years of suspected sightings and abductions. James Tynion IV, Michael Avon Oeming, Tom Napolitano, and Dark Horse Comics return with another deeply weird non-fiction tale exploring alien sightings in the upcoming comic, Blue Book: 1947.

In 1947, Kenneth Arnold flew his Call-Air A-2 over the skies of the Pacific Northwest when all of a sudden, he saw a blinding flash of silver light. What followed was a bizarre and difficult to explain encounter with several flying objects that would change the course of his life forever.

Blue Book: 1947 #1 is written by Tynion, illustrated by Oeming, and lettered by Napolitano. The first issue will also include six variant covers by artists Michael Avon Oeming, Fábio Moon, Michael Allred, Cully Hammer, Joe Quinones (1:10 virgin retailer incentive variant), and Christian Ward (1:10 virgin retailer incentive variant). One additional variant cover will be revealed at a later date.
