Odin invites readers into a Dark World by James Tynion IV, Marguerite Bennett, and Letizia Cadonici. Get an early look!

An advance preview of Odin invites readers to step into the dark world of the original limited series co-created by five-time Eisner Award-winning writer James Tynion IV, bestselling writer Marguerite Bennett, and fan-favorite artist Letizia Cadonici. The nine-issue series, produced by Tynion’s production house Tiny Onion and published by Image Comics, follows an undercover journalist reporting on a group of deluded Neo-Nazis foolishly seeking glory and instead facing the wrath of Norse gods. Green Room meets Midsommar with a touch of The Ritual in this relentless, no-holds-barred horror story.

The new preview, sharing the beginning of Odin #1, starts with a visual punch: Odin disemboweled and disfigured, hangs from a tree, being pecked by a group of crows. The next pages offer a glimpse into the journey of journalist Adela, showing her infiltration of a Neo-Nazi punk band who are following a skin map to what they believe to be their promised land where they can rise to full white supremacist power. The series will follow in the frozen footsteps of thrill-seeking Adela as she ventures into the Norwegian forest with the Neo Nazi punks. But what awaits them in the woods is far older and stranger than any of them can comprehend, and no gods are coming to answer their prayers.

Debuting this May, Odin features hallucinogenic colors by Eisner Award winner Jordie Bellaire and sharp letters by the acclaimed Tom Napolitano. The series is cleverly designed by Dylan Todd and edited by horror pros Steve Foxe and Eric Harburn.

Odin will have gorgeous main covers by celebrated comic and album artist Alex Eckman-Lawn, who is illustrating Cover A for the full series. The series will also spotlight variants by series artist Cadonici and all-star artists like Christian Ward, Martin Simmonds, Jae Lee, Annie Wu, Tula Lotay, Sam Wolfe Connelly, Wes Craig, and more.

Odin #1 will be available at comic book stores on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026

Tiny Onion hires Sami Demonster as Community Manager and Promotes Harley Salbacka to Events & Libraries Manager

Tiny Onion has hired social media and comic book expert Sami DeMonster as Community Manager in the team’s expansion, which has also included promoting Eric Harburn to Director of Narrative & Editor-in-Chief and a number of recent hires. Seasoned industry veteran Harley Salbacka has been promoted from Community & Events Manager to Events & Libraries Manager.

Sami DeMonster

DeMonster will be in charge of communicating with Tiny Onion’s growing fanbase and expanding the production house’s social footprint. She will run the company’s social media accounts and will be producing original content for their channels, including making weekly New Comic Book Day videos in collaboration with popular Los Angeles comic book store Revenge Of, as well as covering Tiny Onion’s activities at conventions and events. She will also be overseeing community management for the production house, engaging with fans online.

DeMonster’s extensive background in content creation, strategy, and journalism includes collaborations with many major comic book publishers, including DC, Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, Vault Comics, DSTLRY, Mad Cave Studios, and creators such as Tynion, Tini Howard, Babs Tarr, Patton Oswalt, Jordan Blum, Stephanie Phillips, Jeff Lemire, Melissa Flores, and Dan Quintana. With an emphasis in comic book and horror coverage, she has cultivated an online community with over 30,000 followers on Instagram, and 40,000 followers on TikTok, with over 1 million likes. She has also partnered with e-commerce giant eBay on social media content, collaborating with their team at New York Comic Con and other events.

Last year, DeMonster hosted Revenge Of’s globally streamed “Comic Creator Couch Party,” sponsored by Dark Horse Comics and streamed worldwide, which featured interviews with stars like Oswalt and Blum, Nathan Fillion and Heath Corson, Brian Michael Bendis, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Hannah Rose May and Utkarsh Ambudkar, Gerry Duggan, and more. In addition to video content, Sami is an editorial columnist for DC.com; among her many articles, she recently wrote a guide to the world and characters of Tynion and Álvaro Martínez Bueno’s The Nice House series timed to DC’s Vertigo relaunch.

DeMonster got her start in the industry working at her local comic book shop before collaborating with BOOM! Studios in 2023 as a freelance Content Creator, best known for being their “New Comic Book Day” host. She has been covering Tynion and artist Werther Dell’Edera’s hit series Something is Killing the Children for BOOM! Studios since 2023 and is an expert on the Slaughterverse; for the last couple years, she has been the Slaughterverse panel moderator for BOOM! Studios at conventions like San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic Con, and C2E2.

Tynion and DeMonster have collaborated for several years, inclusive of her work on Something is Killing the Children (SIKTC). In the last year, she has not only partnered with Tiny Onion to create videos about their titles for New Comic Book Day on a weekly basis, but has also shared deep dives on their comics and collections on her channels. She has also hosted several of their panels at conventions and produced short-form video content at events.

Harley Salbacka

Harley Salbacka, the previous Community & Events Manager, has been promoted to Events & Libraries Manager. With the success of Tiny Onion’s convention programming and the Corpse Tour (the global Exquisite Corpses comic book tour with Tynion and the Corpse Crew of creators), the team will be expanding their event footprint; Salbacka will be managing Tiny Onion’s expansion of events and in-person programming even further. In addition to events, Salbacka will also take the lead in launching Tiny Onion’s first ever Libraries program. She will be working alongside librarians to bring Tiny Onion’s titles to more readers, making their books more accessible to the public.

During Salbacka’s fifteen years working in all facets of the comic book industry, she has gained extensive knowledge of collaborating with librarians. Salbacka started her comic book journey by running one of Los Angeles’ premier comic book shops for five years. She then worked for Humanoids as their Sales & Marketing Representative before moving to BOOM! Studios, where she rose to Sales Lead, handling not only their library market, but also their book and digital market needs, as well as running their booth at San Diego Comic-Con. She managed BOOM! Studios’ library market and ran their booths at the American Library Association (ALA) conference during her time at the company.

“I’m excited to be working with the library market again,” said Salbacka. “Libraries are one of the most important institutions in keeping literacy and comics alive in communities. I’m excited to see what cool things Tiny Onion and librarians will do together!”

“I’ve always admired Harley’s deep understanding and dedication to libraries,” said Tynion. “She has helped Tiny Onion reach new audiences at conventions and our events, and we’re excited for her to help us grow within the library space. We’re so grateful to librarians for the essential work that they do, and we’re looking forward to working with them to make Tiny Onion’s books accessible to more fans and first-time readers.”

In addition to the hiring of DeMonster and the promotion of Salbacka as well as Harburn to Director of Narrative & Editor-in-Chief to reflect their expansion into the multimedia space, Tiny Onion has also recently brought aboard Bryce Gold as Operations Manager for Publishing, Casey Gonzalez as Director of Multimedia Development for Animation, Andra Hermann as Operations Manager for Communications, and Dylan Todd as Senior Designer.

Tiny Onion promotes Eric Harburn to Director of Narrative & Editor-in-Chief in an Expansion into Multimedia Entertainment

Eric Harburn

Led by CEO & Founder James Tynion IV, production house Tiny Onion is promoting publishing industry veteran Eric Harburn from Director of Editorial to Director of Narrative & Editor-in-Chief to reflect the production house’s expansion into multimedia entertainment. In addition to the continued management of Tiny Onion’s publishing output of high caliber comics and graphic novels, Harburn will now lead the new Narrative department, representing storytelling across television, film, and games.

Harburn led the development and production of Tiny Onion’s first major comic book project, Tynion and Michael Walsh’s Exquisite Corpses, in collaboration with Image Comics and a “Corpse Crew” of acclaimed horror creators. The series has become a massive success as the highest-selling original IP launch of 2025 in the comic book direct market, selling more than 600,000 copies to date. Exquisite Corpses will be headed to the big screen. Tiny Onion’s robust slate of projects grew to developing two live action feature films with Lyrical Media, with the other one based on the short film Room Service co-created by Tynion, artist Elsa Charretier and director PK Colinet. Harburn has co-edited Exquisite Corpses since day one with fellow Tiny Onion editors Steve Foxe and Greg Lockard; in his new role, he will continue to oversee publishing of the comics as well as supervise storytelling within the world across mediums, including the feature film and the tabletop card game, soon to launch.

Tiny Onion plans to shepherd existing comic properties into multimedia opportunities in the film, television, and game spaces, while also continuing to usher in brand new entries in their publishing slate such as In Your Skin, the newly announced Bollywood body horror comic book series co-created by Aditya Bidikar and Som. The company’s Artists in Residence program, which gives creators a platform to tell their own original stories, includes Bidikar, Eisner Award-winning colorist Jordie Bellaire (Exquisite Corpses), Tyler Boss (You’ll Do Bad Things), and GLAAD Award nominee Tate Brombal (Everything Dead & Dying).

A 2023 Publisher’s Weekly “Star Watch” nominee and former Executive Editor at BOOM! Studios, Eric Harburn has spent the past fifteen years as an editor and curator of the industry’s top original series, working on more than ninety unique comic book properties, shepherding countless titles to critical and commercial acclaim. During his time at BOOM! Studios, Harburn and Tynion developed the Eisner Award-winning hit series Something is Killing the Children—co-created by Tynion and artist Werther Dell’Edera—which has sold over two million copies worldwide. It was recently announced that Blumhouse has optioned the series to adapt it both for film and for an animated television series with Tynion attached to produce with BOOM! Studios.

During his tenure at BOOM! Studios, Harburn also edited Tynion’s other works, including GLAAD Media Award winner The Woods, a sci-fi thriller co-created with artist Michael Dialynas. In December, it was announced that Tiny Onion optioned the title for adaptation to kick off the production house’s adult animation slate, which also includes an adaptation of Tynion and Fernando Blanco’s Image Comics series W0rldtr33 at Netflix, and original comedy series Tipsy Dragon. Tiny Onion brought aboard Casey Gonzalez as Director of Multimedia in December to oversee development of The Woods and the company’s animated projects. In addition to The Woods, Harburn edited Tynion and Michael Dialynas’ GLAAD Media Award-nominated young adult fantasy graphic novel series Wynd, and Tynion and Eryk Donovan’s fan-favorite Internet horror series Memetic.

Harburn also worked on Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR, the highest-selling original comic book launch in nearly thirty years, shattering Kickstarter records, and which is in development as a live-action feature film and anime spinoff series. A frequent collaborator with Eisner Award-winning writer Ram V, Harburn is editing the new global graphic novel series Deicidium and edited The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, the Ignatz Award-winning, Eisner, Harvey, and Ringo Award-nominated bestselling series created by V and Filipe Andrade, as well as its lauded spiritual followup Rare Flavours.

Ram V, Evan Cagle, and Anand Radhakrishnan reveal Deicidium

Co-creators Ram V, Evan Cagle and Anand Radhakrishnan (RK) have revealed a sneak peek and details about their new graphic novel series, Deicidium. The creators recently announced a groundbreaking six-figure book deal with French publisher Morgen for worldwide rights to publish the series, and a deal with Image Comics to publish it in English Language territories. Frequent co-collaborators V, Cagle, and RK are setting the stage on a global scale; the series will be published around the world simultaneously, with the goal of cultivating an international fan base. Esteemed editor Eric Harburn, who worked with V on the critically acclaimed book The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, is editing the graphic novel series. Volume 1 will hit shelves in late 2026 and there will be a preview of it available on Free Comic Book Day in May.

Deicidium will span media and mediums, combining the strengths of V, Cagle, and RK’s lauded creations to date with disparate influences across comic books, Euro bandes dessinées, and Manga/manhwa into a singular vision of gods returning to Earth… and humanity’s need to destroy them. Fans of urban fantasy, epic sci-fi, world mythology, and character-driven action dramas will find a robust blend of these in Deicidium.

Featuring gorgeous black and white interiors, Deicidium is set in a future world governed by the marriage between Theocracies and Corporations. Worship is currency, faith is power. Welcome to the industry of belief. In this new found stability, old powers once more return to the world. Gods of fire, wind, volcanoes, jaguars—gods of mischief, stories, love and war—manifesting through everyday people. With the established hierarchy threatened, the powers that be decide to find these newly made gods and kill them. A conflict of control versus freedom. Love and worship. Born of the differing ideological ideas that those who can save us live above us versus those we love and admire will come, as they once did, from within us.

Deicidium Volume 1 will be published globally in late 2026.

We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us #4 is Another Fantastic Issue Packed with Humor and Surprises

We're Taking Everyone Down With Us #4

They say that before you begin a journey of revenge, you should dig two graves, but Annalise and her robot are going to need a lot more than that. Way more. Even more than you’re thinking. Also in this issue: a guy gets his head punched off! We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us #4 delivers a great mix of action and comedy with a surprise ending that’ll change up the dynamics.

Written by Matthew Rosenberg, We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us #4 features so much of what you’d expect from a comic from Rosenberg. The series as a whole has come off as a love letter to superhero comics and spy tales, especially those that are rather silly in their nature (we’re looking at you James Bond of the 80s). The characters are all larger than life and the action about as subtle as a nuclear explosion.

But, Rosenberg makes sure to make his comics more than just surface level pop-culture entertainment. We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us #4 is an example of that as the relationship between Annalise and her robot protector grows and an introduction at the end adds a level of family drama. Rosenberg gives us characters who are far more than their focus on revenge and far more than creative ways to fight and blow things up. This is a story of a young woman who has had a really messed up family life and isn’t quite accepting of that.

Stefano Landini‘s art continues the blunt fun of the comic delivering both the action and even the drama with an exaggerated glee. With Jason Wordie on color and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, the art continues to be fantastic with a blend of inspiration that creates a world that we want to see more of. Other than one panel where a robot hand looks to be a human hand, the comic’s art has been on point with every issue delivering a frenetic style that perfectly matches the tone of the series’ story.

We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us #4 is another fantastic issue with a blend of concepts and worlds that creates an entertaining series we want to see more of. It’s nailed every single issue with a glee at its over the top aspect of it all but also knows at its core is a family drama that really brings it all together.

James Tynion IV launches Tiny Onion a new independent multimedia production company

Tiny Onion logo

James Tynion IV has announced the formation of a new independent production house, Tiny Onion, with aggressive plans across the publishing, film, television, and animation industries. Tynion is known for comic series such as Something is Killing the Children, The Department of Truth, The Nice House on the Lake, and W0RLDTR33.

Tiny Onion is backed by a seed investment from Lyrical Media, the Los Angeles and New York-based company that develops, produces, and finances unique stories across multi-media formats, including film, television, video games, podcasts, and graphic novels.

In the comics space, Tiny Onion is bringing together the brightest minds in behind-the-scenes comic book production to staff up a full-service independent editorial and design team. Following the principles that have brought Tynion’s work success in the comics market, the team will seek to identify creative partners and elevate them, curating and packaging the titles before bringing them to the company’s publishing partners across the industry. Tiny Onion will not operate as a publisher itself, but rather an independent creative services company with a footprint across many publishers, including BOOM! Studios, Dark Horse Comics, DSTLRY, and Image Comics.

Leading Tiny Onion’s editorial team is Eric Harburn, who helped Tynion and co-creator Werther Dell’Edera develop Something is Killing the Children into one of the most successful comic book franchises of the last decade during his time at publisher BOOM! Studios. While at BOOM!, Harburn also served as editor of the Keanu Reeves comic book series, BRZRKR, which launched with one of the most successful comic book Kickstarter campaigns of all time. Joining Harburn are Courtney Menard (formerly of Z2 Comics) as Director of Production, and Jazzlyn Stone (formerly independent) as Director of Communications.

While its roots lay in comics, Tiny Onion has ambitions in other media. The company will manage a significant portion of Tynion’s backlist of intellectual property and is in the process of developing a slate of new projects across the film, television, and animation industries. UTA, who represents James Tynion IV and Lyrical Media, will now represent Tiny Onion in media rights, where it will help the production company grow its producing profile across film and television.
